Female Supremacy Genshin: Otherworld Simulation, All Yellow-Haired

Chapter 37: Chapter 37: Prepare for Action

"I'd better take a look..."

Funina deliberately dropped her chopsticks on the ground and took the opportunity to bend down. She did not pick up the chopsticks immediately, but looked under the table. Her nervousness seemed to reach its peak at this moment.

However, the reality surprised her. Both Clorinde and Lin Anyi behaved quite dutifully. Clorinde wore her high heels elegantly, without showing any inappropriate behavior, let alone the deliberate teasing in the novel.

"What? That didn't happen at all."

Funina's prediction was completely wrong. The scene she had expected did not happen. It was true that Clorinde was different from the bad woman in the light novel. She had long been her best friend and would certainly not covet her boyfriend.

At this moment, Funina breathed a sigh of relief, and the tension and doubts in her heart instantly disappeared. However, when she sat back at the table, she felt a sense of inexplicable loss for some reason.

This feeling made her slightly startled. She asked herself, was it because she felt sorry for the misunderstanding of her good friend Clorinde? Or was it because...

"Fufu, what's wrong with you? You look absent-minded."

Lin Anyi suddenly spoke, interrupting Funina's messy thoughts.

"No, nothing."

Funina shrank her neck a little guilty, not daring to look at Lin Anyi, as if she was afraid that the other party would discover her true thoughts.

Lunch continued. Funina tried her best to adjust her emotions to the best state, trying not to let the complexity of that moment affect the warm moment in front of her.

Lin Anyi noticed Funina's abnormality but did not say it clearly, instead bringing up a topic to lead the atmosphere in a more pleasant direction.

Clorinde also seemed to notice that Funina was not right and cooperated in the conversation, so the originally delicate atmosphere slowly returned to normal.

_______________

After lunch, Clorinde returned to the guest room prepared for her. She gently closed the door, and the warmly decorated room seemed particularly quiet. The tension in her body slowly dissipated in this familiar and comfortable space.

She took off her shoes and lay lightly on the bed. Daytime was not the best time to approach Lin Anyi, so Clorinde decided to enjoy a rare nap. These past days of busy work had left her with almost no time to rest properly, and now she finally had the opportunity to relax at Funina's house.

However, just as she was about to fall asleep, the scene at the dining table involuntarily emerged in her mind—especially the complicated look in Funina's eyes. That expression seemed to carry a mix of guilt and expectation.

"Funina, does she expect me to do something?" Clorinde's voice echoed in the empty room, her confusion evident.

But no matter how much she dwelled on it, she couldn't seem to find an answer.

"Forget it. Compared to this, isn't that guy Alechino more suspicious?"

Clorinde carefully took out a letter sent by Alechino from her clothes.

"Before attacking Lin Anyi, she actually sent me this 'letter of challenge.' What is she up to?"

Indeed, Alechino hadn't asked Clorinde to protect Lin Anyi in the letter. Instead, she had boldly announced her plan to target Funina's boyfriend, Lin Anyi. Alechino had bluntly claimed that Funina was too weak to protect Lin Anyi and that Clorinde's presence might add some "difficulty," bringing her more "fun."

At first, Alechino's provocation had infuriated Clorinde. The arrogance and self-confidence deliberately flaunted in the letter left her feeling uneasy.

But soon, she forced herself to calm down and analyze Alechino's intentions.

"Why is this woman so bold?" Clorinde frowned deeply, her voice tinged with doubt.

Since the "memory" in her mind, Clorinde knew clearly that every move Alechino made was calculated, carefully designed to achieve her goals. The reason Alechino had hypnotized Lin Anyi and sent him into Clorinde's arms was to manipulate her into betraying her good friend Funina.

And Alechino had succeeded. Despite knowing Funina had been hypnotized, Clorinde had hesitated, choosing to be a silent bystander rather than intervene.

"I guess, this time, Alechino hopes to repeat the same trick," Clorinde thought, her lips curling into a wry smile.

But Alechino's plans were destined to fail this time.

Now, Clorinde had realized her true feelings and made up her mind. If Alechino wanted to pull her into the same trap again, she would take the initiative to flip the situation in her favor.

Clorinde had actually wanted to stay at Lin Anyi's house for a long time. But Funina's strong possessiveness over Lin Anyi had made it difficult for her to visit frequently, even as a close friend. Lin Anyi's secluded lifestyle further limited their contact, forcing her to resort to the magic mirror for fleeting moments.

Although those touches were thrilling, they could never go far enough.

This letter from Alechino, however, seemed like a blessing in disguise—a rare opportunity provided by fate itself.

With the letter in hand, Clorinde had approached Funina, using it to manipulate her emotions and secure her permission to stay at the house. By portraying herself as a guardian against Alechino, she had easily achieved her goal.

"This way, I can see Lin Anyi every day!"

Clorinde's heart swelled with anticipation and excitement.

"If nothing unexpected happens, Alechino will try to drag me into her schemes again," Clorinde mused. "But this time, I'll act first. I'll claim Lin Anyi for myself before she even makes her move!"

Determination burned in Clorinde's eyes.

She not only planned to thwart Alechino's conspiracy but also intended to take control of this silent battle and give Lin Anyi the happiness Funina couldn't provide.

The hesitant Clorinde of the past was gone. The awakened Clorinde had stepped forward, ready to seize her destiny.

"Tonight... that's when it will begin."

With her plans finalized, Clorinde decided to take a nap, replenishing her energy for the evening's confrontation.

_______________

After the nap, although Clorinde had already made many plans in her mind, her attitude towards Lin Anyi was surprisingly cautious and respectful.

She knew that any rash action might arouse the suspicion of Lin Anyi and Funina, so she chose the most sensible strategy: keep a distance, show loyalty to friends, and respect for Lin Anyi. Such behavior really won the trust of Lin Anyi and Funina.

The daytime interactions were plain and harmonious, without any twists or accidents. Under the seemingly calm surface, Clorinde's heart was full of ups and downs.

As night fell, when Lin Anyi and Funina returned to their bedroom hand in hand, Clorinde knew that this night might be the best time for her to implement her plan.

However, although she was ready to take action, Clorinde's heart was still full of contradictions and struggles. She was aware of the potential risks of forcibly possessing her best friend's boyfriend. But she also believed that sometimes, in order to achieve a goal, you must take action.

"Sorry, Funina."
