Chapter 21: The snowman hides the corpse
Jian Yu was stretching out his hands, but before he could help Bai Yue up, the curtains were opened with a crash.
Liang Meng’s big head appeared outside the window, and he opened his mouth to say something, but was stunned.
In the carriage, Jian Yu stretched out his hand, and Bai Yue knelt in front of him, with tears in her eyes. If you look closely, the bridge of her nose and forehead were still red.
If they were a sweet couple, they could probably imagine some beautiful scenes, but Jian Yu never looked down upon Bai Yue, so that was a completely different story.
This is just like a scene where a bandit bully uses his power to bully a good girl.
“Master…you…” Liang Meng was shocked as if he had seen something extraordinary. He was stunned for a moment, and then immediately lowered the curtains again.
Although the young master didn’t like Bai Yue, he had never been a person who would touch weak women. Could it be that he was really so angry that he lost his mind.
The awkward atmosphere between the two of them almost overflowed from the carriage amid Liang Meng’s acknowledgment.
Finally, Jian Yu pulled open the curtains, stuck his head out and said in a deep voice, “What’s going on? Why did you stop the carriage?”
It wasn’t a bump just now, it was a sudden stop.
Liang Meng turned his back to the carriage, as if he was deliberately avoiding suspicion. Jian Yu became even more angry when he saw it, “What’s going on?”
“Master.” Liang Meng didn’t look back, but pointed to the opposite side.
Opposite is a small forest, covered with snow, which looks nothing out of the ordinary at first glance.
But upon closer inspection, there seemed to be something hiding behind the trees.
Liang Meng lowered his voice and said, “Master, he is a snowman.”
Although Bai Yue just wanted to kick Jian Yu out of the car at this moment, she also knew in her heart that what just happened was indeed not his responsibility. She rubbed her nose and wiped away her tears. Seeing that the carriage had not moved yet, she was a little curious.
After thinking about it, she also looked out and stuck her head out next to Jian Yu.
“A snowman.” Liang Meng repeated.
Bai Yue also had good eyesight, but after looking carefully and again, she only saw a vast expanse of white, and couldn’t help but ask, “Where is the snowman?”
“Behind the tree, I have good eyesight.” Liang Meng said and got off the horse.
Jian Yu also opened the car door and walked down. Obviously he didn’t see anything, but he believed Liang Meng.
There are indeed people in this world who are gifted. Some have particularly good hearing and some can run extremely fast. Liang Meng probably has his own clairvoyance.
Infected by this atmosphere, Bai Yue seemed to suddenly think of something and whispered, “Where are we now?”
“Shili Village.”
“Uncensored Case File No. 054, the Snowman Hidden Corpse Serial Murder Case.” Bai Yue’s voice was erratic. “In the past seventeen years, seven victims have been killed in succession. The Snowman hid the corpse.”
Now, the case could turn into, twenty-one years, eight victims.
Liang Meng opened the way and was about to push aside the branches and step in the snow when Bai Yue suddenly said, “Wait a minute.”
“You go back to the car first.” Jian Yu thought she was afraid, “This is an official road and it’s broad daylight. No matter how cruel the murderer is, there will be no danger.”
Bai Yue rolled up her skirt, “I’m not afraid. I asked Liang Meng to slow down and not go past so many people. What if there are really victims here?”
A group of people swarmed up to a suspected scene. If it had nothing to do with it, that would be fine. If it did, then the clues around the footprints on the ground would definitely be destroyed.
Jian Yu waved his hand to tell his servants not to follow him, and immediately changed his formation.
Liang Meng pulled out the branches in front, and Bai Yue followed behind, walking cautiously inside.
“There are footprints.” Liang Meng suddenly said.
Sure enough, there were two rows of footprints on the ground, one in and one out, and they both disappeared far away at the end of the forest.
“The footprints are fresh and very clear.” Liang Meng just said, Bai Yue’s expression suddenly changed and she turned to the snowman.
Only then did they see the whole body of the snowman clearly. It was a snowman half as tall as a man. The snow pile below was the body, and the snowball above was the head. There was a branch stuck in the nose, but the eyes were not apricot kernels, just two pieces. There are stones everywhere.
Liang Meng and Jian Yu both felt relieved. Before they could speak, they saw Bai Yue rushing towards him.
“Quick, dig up the snowman.” Bai Yue said hurriedly, pushing the snowman’s head with her hands, as if to push the head away.
Bai Yue’s move shocked everyone. Seeing that she was about to step into the snowdrift, Jian Yu grabbed her.
“Maybe there is someone in the snowman?” Bai Yue said anxiously, “It was just buried not long ago, maybe there is still hope…”
This sentence suddenly shocked everyone. Jian Yu and Liang Meng started to do it without saying a word. They were afraid that someone might be hurt inside and did not dare to use hard tools, so they could only use their hands.
Fortunately, the snow was not ice, and the two of them were good at martial arts, and they were able to dig a hole in the snowdrift in a few seconds.
The belly of this snowman is not solid. A section of fabric is exposed in the dark belly.
“There really is someone.” Liang Meng exclaimed and sped up his movements.
Bai Yue was also shocked. She turned around and called a boy to give him some instructions. The boy responded and ran out.
A person was dug out quickly. Liang Meng put his hand on her neck and said with great surprise, “She’s still alive.”
The boy had already ran back, holding a blanket in his hand.
The person who was dug out was a petite girl with white hair all over her body. Although her breathing and pulse were still there, they were very slight.
“Girl, girl.” Liang Meng pushed her and moved.
But she didn’t wake up, she just moved.
Bai Yue hurriedly stretched out the blanket and wrapped the person up neatly. “It’s very cold. I don’t know if there are any other injuries. Send her to the carriage first and go to the doctor quickly.”
Is there anything more shocking than the fact that the victim is still alive? As long as the girl wakes up, the truth of the unsolved case for many years will be revealed.
Liang Meng quickly picked up the girl and quickly got on the carriage. He couldn’t understand the relationship between men and women. Then he couldn’t do anything anymore and quickly called the girl.
“Go to Shili Village to find the doctor.” Jian Yu gave the order, and the young man galloped away on horseback. There was only one way. They went forward and the doctor went back, which could save as much time as possible.
“There is really someone in the snowman’s belly.” Liang Meng watched the car door close and couldn’t help but said, “Miss Bai, why did you see it all at once?”
The snowman must be dug up, but if Bai Yue hadn’t urged them, they would have checked the surroundings first and wouldn’t have done it so quickly. And nine times out of ten, it was dug with a shovel, and there was something slightly wrong with it, just a bloody hole.
“Because of those two lines of footprints.” After placing the victim, Bai Yue was still squatting in front of the footprints and counting something. “The line coming is obviously deeper than the line leaving. This proves that the person came with a heavy burden.” He was carrying heavy things, but when he left, he dropped the heavy things.”
At this moment, Bai Yue really couldn’t think of anything heavy besides people.
