Chapter 6: Evil wizard and legendary hero
The moonlight gently illuminated the room as Ragna and Medea spent the entire day discussing strategies for the Holy Grail War. Ragna shared every bit of knowledge he had about the Masters and Servants with Medea.
Medea looked at Ragna intently and asked:
"Master, how do you know all this? Do you have some kind of clairvoyance? Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if the legendary Ragna possessed such an ability."
Ragna let out a short laugh and replied:
"Let's just say… it's something like that."
Medea's eyes gleamed with curiosity as she said:
"I wonder how many other secrets you're hiding. Your magical energy hasn't just enhanced my power—it's made me feel like I could even face a Saber head-on, even as a Caster."
Ragna stared deeply at Medea and said:
"I'm surprised by that too. Your stats have grown far beyond what I expected."
Ragna glanced at Medea's status page. Apart from luck, all her stats were astonishingly high:
Strength: B
Endurance: B+
Agility: D
Mana: A++
Luck: B
With a cold smile, he said:
"Forget about that for now. I've got a plan for tomorrow that will need the two of us working together."
Medea gazed at him seriously.
"What's the plan? You've piqued my curiosity."
Ragna said with determination:
"I'm going to save Sakura Matou… and kill that filthy insect once and for all."
Medea chuckled, and Ragna looked at her with embarrassment.
"What? Did I say something funny?"
Trying to stifle her laughter, Medea replied:
"No, I'm just a little surprised to see the legendary Ragna being so kind. But now that I think about it, it's not too shocking. You're the one who freed humans from the tyranny of dragons. Of course, you'd have a good heart."
With a smile, she continued:
"So, when are you planning to do this?"
Ragna's gaze turned cold.
"Tomorrow night. You'll rescue Sakura and kill that insect. I'd love to do it myself, but I've got a different role to play that night."
Medea smiled and said confidently:
"If that insect is as disgusting as you say, I'll gladly destroy it."
Ragna's turquoise eyes glowed with rage. In a low, deadly voice, he said:
"Make sure it suffers. I want it to beg for death."
Medea's eyes gleamed with a violet light.
"Don't worry, I'll make it wish it had never existed."
The two locked eyes and suddenly burst into laughter, creating an eerie and unsettling atmosphere. If a normal human had been there, they would've been paralyzed with fear. The aura emanating from the two of them could even frighten apex predators like lions and tigers.
Suddenly, an idea came to Ragna. With a mischievous smile, he looked at Medea.
"Medea, what do you say we go out tonight? Opportunities like this might not come again."
Medea returned a gentle smile.
"That's a good idea."
Ragna thought for a moment and said:
"But we'll need to change our clothes. These outfits don't fit this era. The problem is, I don't have any women's clothes for you. What should we do?"
With a proud tone, Medea said:
"Master, are you underestimating me? I'm a mage from the Age of Gods. This is child's play for me."
Ragna, slightly amazed, said:
"Magic really is something extraordinary."
Medea smirked.
"Of course, it is."
A violet light enveloped Medea, and her attire transformed into modern clothing. She looked more stunning than ever. Ragna found himself staring at her without realizing it.
Sensing his gaze, Medea asked:
"Is something wrong?"
With a soft smirk, Ragna said:
"No, I was just thinking about how beautiful you are."
Medea blushed slightly and replied with some embarrassment:
"Master, you're shameless."
Ragna chuckled.
"Since when did telling the truth become shameless?"
The words left Medea, who prided herself on being a wicked sorceress, unable to hide her flustered reaction.
Ragna stood up.
"I'll go change my clothes."
Medea watched him leave the room, and an unintentional smile appeared on her lips. It didn't take long before Ragna returned, now dressed appropriately. He extended his hand toward her.
"My evil witch, will you allow me to accompany you tonight?"
Medea smiled softly.
"I'll allow it. You'd better be grateful."
With a warm tone, Ragna replied:
"Of course, I'm grateful."
Medea took his hand, and the two stepped out into the night. They strolled calmly down the streets, drawing the attention of every passerby. Anyone who saw them would think they were a couple in love.
Ragna turned to Medea and said:
"Let me introduce you to the joys of the modern world."
Taking her hand, he led her through the city of Fuyuki, visiting street stalls and various shops. Medea tasted modern foods for the first time and found herself unintentionally enjoying the experience. Perhaps, deep down, she wished these moments could last forever.
But could they?
