Fate: Question And Answer System of Traversing Heroic Spirits

Chapter 238: Chapter 276: The Strength of Goetia, Dodging the Ultimate Attack

"Damn it…"

Watching Fionn vanish, Darnic clenched his fists, his heart filled with both shock and unwillingness.

What shocked him, of course, was Solomon's overwhelming strength.

But what truly filled him with despair was that he had now lost everything.

Without a Servant, his participation in the Holy Grail War was over.

And what stung the most was that even after burning three Command Seals, Fionn hadn't even been able to wound Solomon.

How powerful was this Grand Caster?!

Even if he refused to accept it, Darnic wasn't an idiot. He knew he could no longer remain here. Gritting his teeth, he quietly retreated to the edge of the Hanging Gardens.

"Aha! Found him!"

From above, Astolfo spotted him and quickly descended.

"Uncle, are you alright?"

Seeing Darnic unharmed, Fiore stepped forward, her voice filled with concern.

But Darnic's face was ashen, and he remained silent, refusing to acknowledge her.

Seeing this, Gordes sighed before turning to Astolfo.

"Rider, what's the situation up there?"

At this, Astolfo recounted everything he had seen from Fionn and Diarmuid's tragic defeat to how Goetia had crushed them both with overwhelming power.

Now, both Gordes and Fiore understood why Darnic looked so shaken.

After finishing his report, Astolfo immediately turned back toward the Hanging Gardens.

He wasn't the type to run from battle.

While others fought, how could he justify slacking off?!

---

"I didn't expect the enemy to be this strong…"

Gordes gritted his teeth, staring down at the Command Seals on his hand.

In the past, he had wasted his Command Seals foolishly. But after watching himself in the video recordings, he now treasured them deeply.

Unlike the others, he still had all three Seals intact.

And now, he made his decision.

"By my Command Seals—I order you, Siegfried! Use everything you have, don't lose!"

A flash of red light erupted, and the three Command Seals vanished from Gordes' hand.

Far above, battling in the sky, Siegfried felt a sudden surge of mana.

Understanding what had happened, he smiled.

In a fight like this, hesitation would only lead to death.

What use was a Command Seal if they lost the war?

Better to empower a Servant now than to die with Seals left unspent.

"By my Command Seals—I order you, Chiron! Fight with everything you have!"

Fiore had come to the same realization.

As soon as her Seals vanished, Chiron felt the same surge of power.

A knowing smile appeared on his face.

---

"O malevolent scorpion... The time of your purge has come."

"Dissipate among the stars!"

"Antares Snipe!"

From Chiron's bow, a brilliant arrow shot forth, piercing the night sky like a meteor.

It struck Goetia.

For the first time, Goetia staggered slightly.

Though Fionn's attack had failed, Chiron's Noble Phantasm had been concentrated entirely on a single point, allowing it to achieve better results.

And then—

"The evil dragon shall fall, And the world will reach its sunset. I will bring you down!"

Siegfried seized the opening.

Raising Balmung, a surge of golden energy erupted from his blade.

"Balmung—!"

With a mighty swing, the energy transformed into a searing wave of destruction, engulfing Goetia in a blinding explosion of flames.

---

"Did it work?"

Despite their hopes, no one dared to lower their guard.

And they were right to be wary.

From within the smoke, Goetia emerged.

Unscathed.

Not even his clothes had been burned.

"Boom!!!"

Before anyone could react, Goetia punched Siegfried with monstrous force.

The Dragon Slayer was launched from the Hanging Gardens, his body crashing into the distant mountains like a falling meteor, sending rock and earth flying into the sky.

"Siegfried!!"

Seeing this, Gordes turned pale and immediately rushed toward the impact site.

But Goetia wasn't done.

In the blink of an eye, he appeared before Chiron.

Using Mind's Eye and Clairvoyance, Chiron had already foreseen the attack.

He quickly countered with Pankration, hoping to deflect the blow.

But against the "King of Magecraft", it was meaningless.

Goetia's fist crashed into him, sending Chiron hurtling into the sky, before he too disappeared into the distance.

---

Seeing Chiron get knocked away, Fiore's heart clenched with worry.

Without hesitation, she activated her Mystic Code and rushed off to find him.

Meanwhile, Darnic, Sisigou, and the unconscious Chihiro were the only ones left standing.

A strange gleam flashed in Darnic's eyes.

---

"This light is the planet's hope... Proof of the life that illuminates this world!"

"Let us end this—Excalibur!!!"

On the battlefield, Artoria raised her sacred sword high.

A golden torrent of divine radiance surged forth, a beam of pure destruction hurtling toward Goetia.

But—

Goetia merely sneered.

Then, with a single motion, he split the beam in two, as if an invisible blade had severed it mid-flight.

The blast veered away, nearly striking the other Servants.

"Damn it…!"

Watching Excalibur fail, Artoria gritted her teeth in frustration.

But she had no other tricks left.

"Damn you! Look at me!"

Watching his father being overpowered, Mordred could no longer sit still.

Fueled by rage, she activated her Noble Phantasm and charged straight at Goetia.

"I am no king, but I follow in the king's path.

I will destroy all that I must to bring the king peace!"

"Clarent Blood Arthur!"

A crimson wave of destruction erupted from her blade, a surge of power engulfing Goetia in an overwhelming explosion.

And then—

Nothing.

As the dust settled, Goetia stood there, unscathed.

After enduring countless Noble Phantasms, his expression hadn't even changed.

"Swoosh!!!"

Goetia struck back.

But—Artoria had already moved.

Relying on her instincts, she placed herself between Mordred and Goetia, taking the full force of the attack meant for her son.

The impact sent both of them flying but unlike Siegfried and Chiron, they managed to stay within the Hanging Gardens.

"Father! Are you alright?!"

The moment she landed, Mordred rushed to Artoria's side, anxiously checking her condition.

"...Agh…"

Artoria coughed, a thin trickle of blood escaping her lips but her wounds were already rapidly healing.

Thanks to Avalon, she could still fight.

Had it not been for Distant Utopia, she might have already fallen in battle.

This battle…

From now on, Avalon must remain active at all times.

"That's enough."

A voice rang out across the battlefield, full of contempt.

"Useless mongrels, step aside. I will show you what true power is!"

"Hmph. You're finally taking this seriously, King of Heroes?"

Iskandar smirked, glancing toward him.

But Gilgamesh ignored him.

Lifting his hand, he retrieved a golden key, and with a single motion.

A crimson vortex of energy appeared, forming a cylindrical blade engraved with red lines.

"Wake, Ea."

"Damn! Everyone, get out of here!"

Iskandar let out a helpless laugh as he quickly grabbed Qin Shi Huang, then rushed over to grab Artoria and Mordred, pulling them onto his divine chariot.

Achilles and the others immediately followed suit.

They all knew—

Once Gilgamesh wields Ea, he cares for nothing else.

If they stayed here, they would be caught in the blast.

"Ea! Sing praise as you like! I will tell you of the beginning."

"Heaven and Earth split. Nothingness congratulated Creation... and my sword cleaved the world."

"Mortar of the stars...heaven's hell is the eve of creation's celebration!!"

As Gilgamesh held Ea aloft, the air itself trembled.

A massive vortex of red energy spiraled above, twisting and distorting reality itself.

The sheer pressure of its power began shattering the atmosphere like glass.

Even from space, satellites detected the phenomenon, it looked like a planetary superstorm forming in real-time.

"So this… is Gilgamesh's true power?"

Watching from afar, Iskandar's expression turned serious.

For the first time, he fully understood just how much mercy Gilgamesh had shown him.

This was the strength of the King of Heroes.

---

Across the battlefield, Goetia did not move.

Instead, he simply furrowed his brow.

For the first time, he acknowledged the attack.

"Behold the crushing might of my Sword of Rupture!"

"Enuma Elish!!!"

With a deafening roar, Gilgamesh swung Ea downward.

The world was consumed by a blinding crimson light.

The Hanging Gardens were engulfed in absolute devastation.

A divine catastrophe, a torrent of primordial destruction erupted across the battlefield, obliterating everything in its wake.

"Pft…!"

Semiramis coughed up blood.

Her Hanging Gardens of Babylon, her greatest Noble Phantasm and source of power had just been annihilated.

With its destruction, she could no longer maintain her strength.

And her Bašmu, had likely perished as well.

She was now completely powerless.

The blast lasted nearly ten full seconds.

And when it finally ended.

The battlefield had changed.

---

A massive crater.

Where the Hanging Gardens once stood, only a gaping void remained.

And at its center.

Goetia was gone.

"Hmph."

Seeing the result, Gilgamesh smirked, pleased.

He casually returned Ea to the Gate of Babylon.

Despite having unlimited mana from Chihiro and the Grail, even he felt a slight fatigue after unleashing Ea at full power.

Was the battle…

Finally over?
