FATE of DxD

The Haul of the Heist

After the battle was over, the three members of the audience, Azazel, Valia and Satanael came to Jun.

Valia immediately jumped over and punched him the shoulder.

"You've been holding out on me during our spars!" She jokingly accused.

"Well, a real master always saves some for special occasions." Jun replied.

"A real master eh?" Valia rolled her eyes.

"Don't get all cocky over beating those wastes. I could do that too." She added.

"Just not as awesomely." Jun taunted.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever." Valia grudgingly admitted defeat.

*cough*

Azazel interrupted.

"Well, it was certainly an experience seeing you fight at full power." He committed.

"Full power? Not even close Azazel . . . Not even close." Jun chuckled.

'I barely used my martial skills, the only magecraft I used was Magic Bullet and just the version fired from my hands and just by using Dragon Rage, my power would have risen beyond reasonable limits.' He thought to himself.

"Is that so?" Azazel pensively looked at Jun.

Satanael then interjected.

"I for one certainly underestimated you Haikami Jun. It truly pains me to hand it over but here is the stake of our bet, as promised." He said as he pulled out Arondight from a magic circle.

A longsword oozing with the madness that plagued its original wielder. A holy sword fallen to the demonic but still maintaining its majestic might.

Jun took hold of it and immediately felt the madness contaminating the sword trying to breach his mental defences but mental attacks were something he was not afraid of as his mind didn't even shake a single bit.

"Oh? Looks like there is indeed more to you than what was show in the previous battle." Satanael praised.

"I love to keep other guessing after all." Jun responded, causing the fallen angel to laugh.

"Well I shall excuse myself for today. I look forward to meeting you in the future Haikami Jun." Satanael said before vanishing with the light of a magic circle.

"I guess that's that!" Azazel said.

"I would warn you to be careful of that fellow but it seems that that is also under your considerations so I'll just make myself scarce as well." He shrugged before disappearing as well.

Finally, Valia said her piece.

"This was a great show to watch but I also got a job from Azazel to do so I have to bolt. See you later!" She exclaimed before disappearing in a magic circle as well.

'Teleporting within the DxD world is so easy . . . I definitely need to learn that.' Jun thought as he walked back to his room.

'That would be impossible.' Ahsaka suddenly interjected.

'Why!?' Jun was dumbfounded.

'Your whole existence was formed with peerless aptitude to any skill, technique and magecraft of the Nasuverse but, in return, learning skills from other worlds like this one is impossible.'

'You can still use treasures like Holy Swords and Sacred Gears but learning magic or Touki and things of the like is impossible.' Ahsaka explained.

'Oh well . . . I guess that's something I'll have to live with. Once I master Spacetime magecraft it won't matter.' Jun thought to himself.

Back to his room, most of his mental partitions, now more numerous and each with a truly enormous number of thought processes rapidly worked on his magical research.

While there might be some Atlas Alchemists with more partitions than Jun, and even more thought processes, the quality was different and his thought acceleration that went far beyond what a human could tolerate made very few being even in Atlas capable of reaching his processing speed.

With such mental power, his research speed was equal to that of Atlas' best, who had created some of the most impressive things in history but with the library of infinite knowledge of all creation known as the Akashic Records, Jun had to experience no detours.

He did not need to discover the principles of a certain Mystery or magecraft, all he had to do, was look it up and work to achieve it. While the effort and talent needed for this was immense as well, the time taken to lear was drastically shortened.

And, armed with his newly improved mental processing capabilities and talent as a being of draconic lineage, Jun's progress in the next few years was posed to be far more staggering than before.

Putting Arondight in the Akashic Converter, Jun checked with Ahsaka what could be done with it.

'This weapon as a direct counterpart in the Nasuverse. Through this, the Mystery and legend of that version of the sword can be infused into this one, changing it permanently.' Ahsaka said.

'Will it become the Fate Arondight?' Jun inquired.

'Not, it will become something different than both, it might be worse than both in fact but with your Luck parameter, it's safe to assume the end result will be a unique Noble Phantasm better than both or at the very least equal to what you previously had, even if different.' Ahsaka explained.

'There was an option of fusion before. If I get more items with counterparts can a fuse them all together and make sort of like a super Noble Phantasm?' Jun asked with excitement.

'It is possible but you will have to research the knowledge of the various methods of creation for Noble Phantasms and mystic code, acquire the skills necessary to apply that knowledge and then help guide the Akashic Converter in the fusion process.' Ahsaka replied.

'No problem then. One partition will be fully focused on that end, maybe two.' Jun thought.

While all of this was going on in his mind though, and as his body did the work. His ever dutiful familiars had finished all the reconacense necessary and all the plans for the the serial heists were ready.

Materializing in realspace in the presence of someone was a big no no since Huginn and Muninn were not only defenseless but also fragile so their targets were treasuries and vaults alone.

Avoiding guard shifts and regular inspections to take everything inside and exit without making contact with any lifeform.

All locations would be raided over the course of a single night, were the defense measures that couldn't stop the ravens were the tightest but the actual guards that could ruin everything were the least numerous.

Jun made regular trips to his workshop in Kuoph and hanged around there quite a bit, especially when he wanted to do something without Grigori spying on him.

He had gotten pretty close to Valia though and the girl could keep secrets better than her own life so Jun had given her permission to enter and she came and lounged in the living facility part quite often and they both hanged there and just chilled, with Jun show off his research results to the excitable girl.

Now though, he was there alone and very jitterish. If it wasn't for his Ascetic Skill, he would probably be breaking down in nervousness as he awaited for the return of the ravens.

When they finally arrived and unloaded their storage onto the prepared vault Jun had set up beforehand, he could barely believe his eyes at the pile of treasures sitting in from him, "repossessed" from all corners of the globe.

He couldn't work with them in the way he wanted since he still lacked the necessary skills as per what Ahsaka had told them but he still wanted to make an inventory of everything he had just obtained and store them in his Akashic converter which would analyze them and also reveal if there is a Nasuverse counterpart.

And so, the list was as follows:

-The Seven Fragments of Excalibur. Six from the three branches of the Church and the remaining one from the Pendragon's Treasury. Apparently it was usually borne by the heir which would have been Arthur but he was still too young for it.

Caliburn which was even more powerful in the Dxd world was kept by Arthur's father Uther Pendragon, the current head of the clan and thus out of the ravens' reach.

-Avalon, the scabbard of Excalibur, that was recovered after the death of King Arthur by the Pendragon family but no longer held its healing powers after the death of its original owner.

-Marmyadose, a large wide holy sword with a long, staff like handle said to be equal to Excalibur in raw power.

-Carnwennan, a dagger said to be able to cloak the user in shadows.

-Clarent, ceremonial sword of King Arthur, stolen by Mordred and later used to kill his father.

-Secret of Pedigree, Mordred's magical helm to conceal his identity while serving as a knight of the Round Table.

-Prydwen, King Arthur's shield with the ability to transform into a large battleship.

-Secace, a sword once used by Lancelot but inferior to the more well known Arondight

-Sword of the Strange Hangings, wielded by Galahad and said to have belonged to David, father of King Solomon.

-Sword with the Red Hilt, once belonged to Sir Balin and then placed into a floating stone by Merling after its wielder's death, only for it to be later drawn by Galahad.

-Failnaught, the bow of sir Tristan that could take the form of a normal bow or an harp to unleash sound "arrows".

-Rhongomyniad, the lance of King Arthur, said to be as powerful as his sword and lost to history in Grigori's records. Apparently, the Pendragon Family had kept it hidden as a secret weapon ever since the death of the original King Arthur.

-Goswhit, the Helm of King Arthur that belonged to his father before him.

-Green Armor, armor of the Green Knight, said to protect the wielder from injury.

-The Round Table, still used for special meetings by the Pendragon clan and conveniently not guarded so the ravens took it as well despite having little to no inherent power, at least in the world of DxD.

-Assorted Holy scriptures, treasures and exorcist weapons from the churches along with a few nameless holy swords, spear, shields, etc.

-Ascalon, holy dragonslaying sword of Saint George, also from the vaults of the church.

Finally, from the Sigurd Institution:

-Gram, also known as the Sword of the Sun, it is the strongest Demonic Sword. Known as the Demonic Emperor Sword, it is a Dragon Slayer sword with the destructive power equal to that of the Holy Sword Durandal.

-Balmung, a Demon Sword from Norse mythology with a drill-like aura. It is capable of creating powerful whirlwinds. Quite a bit lacking compared to its Nasuverse counterpart.

-Nothung, a Demonic Sword that specializes in sharpness.

-Tyrfing, a Demonic Sword that specializes in destruction.

-Dainsleif, a Demonic Sword that creates huge pillars of ice from the ground.

"A Haul indeed!" Jun said out loud, spending the next several minutes laughin to himself very loudly like a maniac.
