Fate: How About a New Savior?

Chapter 202: Chapter 202 - Vol. 3 - Chapter 58: Enuma Elish – The Star of Creation that Split Heaven and Earth

The silver longsword, wrapped in seething, hate-fueled Mana, swept away a barrage of Noble Phantasms in a single strike.

Saber glanced back at Sakura and Rin. They couldn't step into this battle. As human Magi, their attacks couldn't even reach the King of Heroes, shielded as he was by countless Noble Phantasms.

Panting, she turned her gaze to Gilgamesh, just a short distance away.

She couldn't get close. She couldn't land a hit.

Even though he was seemingly within reach, Mordred's sword couldn't touch him. The closer she drew, the more Noble Phantasms intervened, blocking every opening.

Archer was already overwhelmed, constantly projecting replicas of top-tier Noble Phantasms just to hold the line. And Gilgamesh wasn't just a walking armory of flying weapons.

The Golden King would sometimes close in with a weapon to engage in close quarters, other times using the chains in his hands to disrupt their movements, and then follow up by unleashing the devastating wind pressure of Ea.

One misstep, and they'd be torn to pieces in an instant.

How had her father ever defeated such a foe in the Holy Grail War ten years ago?

The thought surfaced—only to be crushed the next moment.

Her father was her father. She was herself.

If her father had beaten Gilgamesh, then she had no reason to believe she couldn't do the same!

Just then, Archer fell back toward her position.

"Saber, hold Gilgamesh off for a moment. I'm activating my Reality Marble."

"You don't need to say it—I was going to!"

As Archer unfurled his petal-like shield, Saber charged forward with a roar. Her Clarent clashed violently against the spinning Ea, sparks flying from the impact.

"Oh? So this is the so-called sacred sword kept in the vault of the King of Knights?" Gilgamesh said, his tone casually dismissive. "Not quite as impressive as the sword of the Knight of the Sun."

The mention of Gawain made Mordred's eyes flare with rage.

"You bastard! You know that guy?"

"We crossed blades over a debt once," Gilgamesh replied with a smug smile. "I wasn't at full strength at the time, but he was a worthy opponent. What about you, rebellious knight?"

With those words, he surged forward, Ea's power spiking, and forced Mordred back.

"That attack's a bit much for someone like you. Sweep it all away—Ea!"

Unlike the earlier waves of casual wind pressure, this strike was a vortex, devouring everything in its path as it rushed toward Mordred.

"Damn—!"

She scrambled to unleash her Noble Phantasm, but she was a moment too slow.

Right then, Archer's incantation reached completion. Flames burst forth along the battered stretch of Fuyuki Bridge, engulfing him, Mordred, and Gilgamesh in an instant.

Only Sakura and Rin remained outside.

That was Archer's call. It was the only way to fight without hesitation—and to keep them safe from the destructive force of the coming clash.

...

The world shifted in a flash, transforming into a desolate field lined with countless swords.

Above, massive gears turned across the sky.

Inside the Reality Marble, Mordred immediately pulled back, narrowly evading the deadly pressure of Ea.

"Hmph. A glance is all it takes—fakes, every last one. Truly a fitting display for a fraud," Gilgamesh scoffed, raising his left hand as more portals opened. From within, Noble Phantasms slowly began to emerge.

But in that instant, Archer's eyes locked sharply onto him. Weapons identical to those spilling from the Gate of Babylon surged up from the barren field, intercepting and destroying the treasures before they could fully manifest—shattering both Noble Phantasms and portals alike.

"Oh? Destroying them all before this king could even fire...?" Gilgamesh chuckled to himself. "Even I, it seems, am at a slight disadvantage."

Mordred surged with Mana, preparing to unleash her Noble Phantasm's true name.

She had seen enough of Gilgamesh's power. Now was the moment—to strike while Archer's Reality Marble was active, to combine her own Noble Phantasm with the endless weapons of this domain and bring that man down, then reunite with her mother and the others.

At that moment, Gilgamesh appeared to be speaking to someone unseen.

"Oh? You want me to stop holding back? Truly a strict Master I have. But I've been serious from the very beginning."

He said it like a joke, then drove Ea into the ground.

The spinning blade instantly tore through the earth and space around him.

As the fabric of the world cracked and distorted, Archer's expression shifted—he'd miscalculated. He had underestimated Gilgamesh's intent.

This man had never once let go of Ea. He had used its wind pressure repeatedly, and from the start, he had been ready to release its true name at any moment.

This king, who stood above all, hadn't been toying with them. He had been fighting in earnest from the beginning.

With no other choice, Archer summoned every blade in his Reality Marble, joining forces with Mordred's Noble Phantasm to face the one weapon that could destroy it all.

"For creatures like you, the laws of earth are too forgiving," Gilgamesh declared as he slowly ascended into the sky with Ea in hand. "Let this king show you what the laws of heaven look like. It's only death—endure it if you can!"

The world of Unlimited Blade Works began to unravel. In mere seconds, it would be completely shattered by Ea's activation.

"Devour him—Rebellion Against My Beautiful Father: Clarent Blood Arthur!"

Mordred called forth her Noble Phantasm, its blazing light joining the storm of blades rushing toward Gilgamesh.

But Gilgamesh raised his voice in a thunderous proclamation.

"Offer your deaths in gratitude! Enuma Elish!"

It was a force older than the concept of sword or spear—something that existed before even the dawn of history.

An age predating mankind, predating even the stars themselves.

A divine power wielded to shape the world—manifested into a weapon.

The blade that cleaved heaven and earth apart, dividing the primordial chaos into sky and land.

It carved the void to create the sky, and would pierce it again to return to nothingness.

The embodiment of beginning and end, a power only Gilgamesh—he who carries the divine bloodline—could wield.

Not a Noble Phantasm against men, armies, or cities.

A Noble Phantasm against the world itself.

Its destructive force was absolute—capable of erasing the very fabric of reality.

Regardless of whether the target was a single person or an entire legion, their world would be crushed along with them.

Without holding anything back, the King of Heroes met his Master's expectations and unleashed his full might.

The pressure of that release fractured the very space of the Reality Marble. With every swing, it tore at the seams of the world, drawing in the void between dimensions and twisting the realm inside out.

The countless swords. The Noble Phantasms that surged alongside them.

All of it was consumed—slowly, relentlessly—by the overwhelming force of Enuma Elish.
