Fate: Edmund

Chapter 2: Chapter 1 Beginning

he time had come. Edmund had waited his entire life to interfere in the Holy Grail War—or rather, he had waited 17 years.

Edmund Nuada-Re Sophia-Ri was pondering how to do it. As someone reincarnated, he eagerly anticipated witnessing the grand spectacle that would unfold in two weeks from the front row.

He had already planned it out. After his friend Waver stole Kayneth's catalyst, he would give Kayneth a different one. Edmund didn't want Kayneth summoning Diarmuid, not that boring guy.

At first, he wasn't sure if he had reincarnated into Fate/Apocrypha or another Fate multiverse. But after some investigation, he relaxed. Edmund sighed in relief upon confirming that he had been reincarnated into a "normal" one—or at least, as normal as one could be with the Grail corrupted by the previous Holy Grail War.

As he did every day, Edmund went to the Clock Tower for his morning classes. He found them... boring. Most of the classes didn't interest him. Neither the Department of Evocation, Alchemy, Astrology, Necromancy, nor Archaeology caught his attention. In fact, he found them all dull.

He was more... into having fun. In his previous life, he had worked himself to death as a slave for a black company. And what did he get in return? A premature death. He hadn't enjoyed life, hadn't made any friends, and hadn't even had sex.

At university, he focused on passing his classes, staying up until the early hours of the morning studying, only for the professor to fail him in the end.

Now, with a new chance at life, he wasn't going to waste it. He swore he would live as he pleased.

In one of his classes, Edmund was chatting with Waver, which made the latter upset at how relaxed Edmund was.

"D-don't make noise! Professor Kayneth will hear you!" Waver spoke in a trembling voice, afraid that Professor Kayneth might hear them and reprimand them for it.

"Don't be scared. Relax. My brother in law doesn't bite. Just smile when you see him and tell him the class is boring," Edmund replied in a calm tone, which only made Waver shudder even more in fear.

All the commotion in the back seats caught Professor Kayneth's attention.

"The two students in the back do you have a question?" Kayneth asked, looking directly at Edmund and Waver.

Waver instinctively tensed up. Professor Kayneth's expression was, as always, serious, but Waver couldn't bring himself to meet his gaze out of sheer fear.

It's all right, brother-in-law, go on with the wonderful lessons, I'm learning new things. - Edmund, indifferent to Professor Kayneth's gaze, pushed back his chair and put his feet up on the table. Total disrespect.

The other students whispered among themselves at Edmund's audacity. Waver was even paler.

He said nothing, just concentrated on looking at Edmund for a few seconds, then stepped aside and continued with classes as normal.

The students did not understand why the teacher did not reprimand Edmund. With a clear smile on his face, Edmund laughed.

-Hahahahahahahahaha... a dog that barks, doesn't bite.

It was the last straw, Professor Archibald didn't let it go this time.

-Edmund Nuada-Re Sofia-Ri, I want to see you in my office after school! - Edmund could easily see the veins in his temple bulge.

The whole class tensed, Waver tensed, Edmund smiled.

-Now you've done it Edmund, Professor Kayneth is very angry.

Waver was worried about his friend, who, to all appearances, didn't give a damn.

-Don't worry, my friend, you'll see how I tame this wild horse with my smile and intellect... and a little brute force.

Waver Velvet thought he could never cope with Edmund's personality, which was so different from the other wizards and himself, waver could only sigh and look fearfully at Edmund, who was relaxed even with his feet on the table.

After the evocation class, Edmund stood up from his seat and walked towards the campus to get some fresh air, he wanted to soak up the sun for a moment before heading towards his brother in law.

Kayneth couldn't do much with Edmund because he was the younger brother of his fiancée, Sola-Ui, he didn't want to lose Sola-Ui's interest, or the little interest she has in him.

No matter, what mattered was that he could annoy Professor Kayneth as he pleased without him showing retaliation.

Or so he thought. Taking his time to relax, Edmund left, on his way to Professor Kayneth's office.

It's been a year since I translated the other story, and I didn't do it, I left it, hahahaha, my fault, now that I'm back, I'll do it, but I think it will take a little more time, until I get rid of everything, meanwhile, I'm writing a Fate fanfic, I don't know how it's going, but I hope I have your support to continue.

I think I'll make the patreon for help, because I live precariously, and some money wouldn't be bad for me.

I come with everything for next year, I'm looking to translate another story, but everything will be according to the people who support me.
