FATE: As Illya, I was summoned by Kotomine Kirei?!

Chapter 29: Chapter 29: What do you see? I see sweat and hard work

Chapter 29: What do you see? I see sweat and hard work

Hiding in the darkness, Miss Illyasviel is not in a hurry to take action for the time being. She uses her Noble Phantasm to allow Jack the Ripper to possess her again. Her Presence Concealment instantly reaches A+ level, blending into the darkness like water entering the ocean without any ripples. Her red eyes quietly stare at the two Heroic Spirits in the center of the battlefield under her rag hood. She plans to watch the battle between these powerful Servants and the third knight class first. It would be best if one of them would withdraw.

Miss Illyasviel prefers the man with two spears, not because he is handsome.

But compared to the blonde girl with ahoge, she instinctively feels that the man with two spears poses a greater threat to her, similar to comprehensive restraint by a single attribute. In simple hand-to-hand combat, the blonde girl might need to slash her five times to kill her, but the man with two spears would only need to stab her three times. The difference seemed negligible as both could easily crush her.

Yet, this man dared to challenge four Heroic Spirits at once. Miss Illyasviel doubted he lacked a trump card. His composure and commanding presence already exceeded that of the ahoge girl.

"Come on, big brother with two spears! You must defeat the devil king!"

Miss Illyasviel silently cheers for the man with two spears. In truth, she doesn't care who wins or loses—she simply wants to seize an opportunity. A premonition stirs within her.

If she kills a Heroic Spirit with her own hands, one of her skills might yield unexpected rewards. Should the spearman gain the upper hand, activating Jack the Ripper's Noble Phantasm to eliminate the ahoge girl isn't off the table. Though uncertain of the improvement, this could reveal hidden mechanisms in her skills.

After all, the assassin class lacks supreme stats and compensates with unique abilities.

Capturing the Master remains her top priority. She avoids engaging Heroic Spirits unless they're gravely injured.

"Saber... will definitely win!" The white-haired girl clenches her fists like a child cheering for the swordswoman. She believes the swordswoman will triumph over the spearman.

Feeling Iri's trust, the swordswoman grips her invisible sword tightly, preparing herself.

The spearman breathes deeply, leaning forward like a predator eyeing its prey.

There's a pause.

Then—

The battle erupts!

A surge of mana propels the swordswoman forward, raising her invisible sword in a sweeping arc. The spearman shows no panic, deflecting her blow with an upward thrust. The collision of energy shatters the concrete beneath them.

The deflection causes the sword to skew, and the spearman capitalizes by thrusting directly at the swordswoman's chest. Skilled and alert, she counters swiftly, breaking his line of attack and striking back from below.

They clash with relentless precision, mana sparking and surging. The battlefield transforms into a chaotic arena transcending physical limits, reminiscent of epics and legends.

"Let's end this, Lancer," a magnetic voice with a sharp London accent echoes.

"Finish the Saber swiftly. You may unleash your Noble Phantasm."

'Lancer's Master?'

Hearing this, Irisviel and Miss Illyasviel instinctively scan for the source. Irisviel's face shows concern, while Illyasviel senses fortune smiling upon her—a wild Kayneth has appeared!

Are they truly so confident in their abilities?

The spearman smiles heartily, deflecting the swordswoman's strike before discarding his spear's concealment cloth. The blood-red spear gleams ominously.

"Understood, my lord."

The swordswoman strikes, sensing his pause. Yet the spearman, grinning, meets her blow head-on, dissipating the wind veiling her invisible sword.

Realizing the threat of exposure, she withdraws swiftly. Revealing a Heroic Spirit's true name invites peril in the Holy Grail War, as weaknesses and Noble Phantasms become targets.

The spearman seizes the retreat, thrusting his blood-red spear forward once more.

The swordswoman relies on her magic armor, hoping it withstands the blow. Her instincts assure her it will.

But fate has other plans.

The spear slashes across her waist in an instant, inflicting searing pain and forcing her to retreat faster than intended.

Tick, tick

Blood flowed down her waist to the ground. Covering her bleeding waist, the swordsman girl looked at the spearman who did not continue to chase her not far away, and frowned in confusion.

"My armor should be able to block this attack..." The swordsman girl's intuition skill A allowed her to see herself successfully defending against the spearman's attack, but the current situation was completely inconsistent with what her intuition told her.

After carefully touching the armor around her waist, the swordsman girl found that the touch was somewhat different from what she had imagined: "The armor is not damaged, but I am injured..."

'Can that red spear cut off the mana?'

'This mechanism should be able to break through the golden armor shell of King Gilgamesh, right?'

Miss Illyasviel took one last glance at the battlefield, then quickly moved forward in the dark in the direction of the sound. It was obvious that these two Servants were not something she could challenge. Long-range players like King Gilgamesh were not particularly restrained by her, and it would be a waste of time as long as she couldn't hit them. However, the swordsman girl and the spearman man were completely different. Their numbers were too high, and her gorgeous operations were no match for a simple basic attack. There was no need to continue wasting time here. After all, she was not a hero who would appreciate this wonderful battle. She was just an assassin who longed to live happily. She did not have the pride of a hero, only that humble desire.

The voice that was just heard was undoubtedly from Kenneth El-Melloi Archibald, one of the seven Masters, although it could not be ruled out that it was someone else in disguise.

But since it has been confirmed that there is a Master present, there is no reason for her not to take advantage of the opportunity.

No magi can resist her assassination, and the blind pride of magi is their death omen!

"This kind of magecraft fluctuation, a color-rank magi? Is the vagueness a barrier?"

Miss Illyasviel walked quickly through the containers, silently approaching the source of the sound within 30 meters. The human-shaped figure stood defenselessly in the shadows of a high place with his hands behind his back, hiding in the cube pillar at the top of the factory building, and overlooking the battlefield in the distance. No protective barrier was set up? But after Miss Illyasviel confirmed the target, she hesitated because she did not find any warning barrier set up around her.

Kenneth El-Melloi Archibald was a proud genius magi, even more proud and conceited than Tohsaka Tokiomi in some ways, but pride did not mean stupidity.

He didn't even set up a barrier to warn people around him, which made him seem a bit deliberately arrogant.

You have to know that from Kenneth's perspective, Assassin has not left the stage yet.

And as a genius as he is, he was able to deduce that this Caster had outstanding stealth and disguise abilities.

But he still exposed himself so brazenly. Was this pride in his own strength? Could this be considered conceit? No, this was simply stupidity!

Even Tohsaka Tokiomi, who was deceived by her skills at close range, knew to set up gem defense magecraft. How could Kenneth's IQ be so low that he was not deceived by her!

Hair pulled out.

An insect weaved out, passed through the darkness, and flew towards the location of the figure.

Crack, crash!

The hair-like insect flapped its wings, puffing, and disappeared without a trace the moment it got close to the figure.

With the help of the consciousness attached by Einzbern magecraft, Miss Illyasviel opened her eyes and cursed in her heart that magi were indeed insidious guys, because she saw it, even if it was only for a short two or three seconds, she successfully saw clearly that the figure was not a person at all, but a silver-white object similar to mercury. The real Kenneth was not at the scene at all.

"Mystic code, revealing your location... fishing?"

She was sure that the silver-white human-shaped object was a very high-end magecraft.

Kenneth was just fishing, just like that woman from the Einzbern family, putting himself out in the open to see which idiot would take the bait.

Miss Illyasviel was a little disappointed. It would have been great if the participants in the Holy Grail War were all high school graduates. They all played so timidly. Except for Tohsaka Tokiomi who suffered from the lack of information at the beginning, almost all the other Masters were on guard against her.

"But since he's fishing, I can also use his bait to make a nest."

Miss Illyasviel approached the silver-white humanoid object, but did not choose to attack. Instead, she continued to hide in the darkness in the northeast direction about ten meters away from it.

She calmly placed her hand on the handle of the black sharp blade at her waist and began to wait for the next fish to be caught.

Twenty seconds, fifty seconds, one minute, two minutes, time passed quietly...

And the facts proved that her judgment was correct. The enemy who found Kenneth and wanted to kill her also began to prepare to take the bait. After all, even she, as a Servant, needed to use her familiar to observe closely to determine the true identity of the humanoid object under the darkness. Others did not have such an advantageous mechanism as hers.

Bang!

There was a slight sound of the gun, and a hot bullet passed by Miss Illyasviel. It was a bullet from a sniper rifle, which hit the silver liquid's head accurately with exquisite shooting skills!

However, the moment the bullet hit the liquid, it went straight through the silver liquid!

Just like water flowing through the ocean, not only did it not cause the slightest harm, but it instead caused an indiscriminate attack riot by the silver liquid. With a loud bang, the humanoid object extended, and dozens of sharp silver spikes, like the Green Emperor's barrier, directly pierced through all directions!

"It's fake. Lancer's master is not at the scene. Prepare to evacuate Maiya and switch sniper locations..."

Kiritsugu Emiya, who was lying on the wooden board with a group of containers, remained calm. When he realized that he had failed, he contacted his assistant Hisau Maiya through the intercom and prepared to retreat.

The humanoid object in the sniper scope has turned into a hedgehog. Although they are far apart and have used a silencer, they still need to change their position and start over out of caution.

"You go to point two, and I'll go to point three." The factory building was shattered into pieces in less than ten seconds. Emiya Kiritsugu felt a little troubled by the destructive power. If a traditional magi had gone there to launch a sneak attack, he would have been dead by now.

"Before Lancer's Master tracks us down..."

However, the words were not finished.

The image coming from the sniper scope again made Emiya Kiritsugu stunned.

He saw a black figure jumping to a high place under the indiscriminate attack of the silver liquid.

Then she looked towards him following the smell of gunpowder.

"what?!"

He saw the assassin girl with her face covered by a black robe and rags.

Miss Illyasviel also saw him.
