Chapter 424: Venus Potion!
After collecting his task, Egger and Jin Tu just happened to step out of the house.
The couple each had a big chicken leg in hand, their mouths glistening with oil as they devoured them with visible satisfaction.
Han Qiwu glanced at the Wind-Fire Wheels stored in his compartment, wondering if he needed to supervise his domesticated chickens at home to get a few more legs out of them.
This stuff seemed to be hard currency!
He had the Wind-Fire Wheels, but shouldn't he also arrange for a Qiankun Ring now?
Han Qiwu used to love playing the ring toss game whenever he went to the night market.
The stall owner loved him too.
Though the reasons for those affections differed greatly.
Spotting Han Qiwu, Egger waved his greasy hand enthusiastically and called out, "Xiao Han! You're here? Come grab a bite! The chicken legs this time taste even better than the last – the flavor is top-notch!"
Han Qiwu: "???"
Something didn't add up. He had clearly given Egger **"not fresh but still edible Flame Bird legs"**, so why did Egger think they tasted better?
Apparently, dwarves had stronger flavor preferences.
What a pity he still couldn't grow soybeans yet; otherwise, in the future, he could make stinky tofu and undoubtedly trade it for some great items.
Han Qiwu waved his hand in refusal, "No thanks, I've already eaten at home. I came over this time to borrow Sister Jin Tu's potion crafting room to adjust a few potions. I brought some materials for Strength Potions and I plan to practice seriously today."
Sister Jin Tu nodded in approval after hearing Han Qiwu's words, gesturing towards the house, "You came at just the right time. I've just adjusted the temperature and humidity in the potion room—go ahead and get to work. If you need anything, just call me."
"Got it, thank you," Han Qiwu obediently carried his materials into the potion crafting room.
Upon entering, he immediately noticed the difference—the environment here had been set to optimal conditions for him to perform at his peak. He didn't even need to warm up and could jump straight into the zone.
Pure bliss.
If only he could set up such a potion crafting room at home too, instead of constantly coming to Sister Jin Tu's place. It wouldn't be ideal in the long run.
But all of this was for later—Han Qiwu pulled out his materials and started crafting.
As usual, the crafting process involved jumping, shaking, and a lot of physical exertion.
Just labor, really.
This time, Han Qiwu specifically chose a transparent container, shaking it back and forth while observing the changes inside.
The imagery during potion crafting was truly dazzling—a kaleidoscope of colors and structures intertwining and shifting within the container, creating stunningly beautiful scenes.
Three hours seemed to fly by, and Han Qiwu, now drenched in sweat, took a deep breath and looked with satisfaction at the four Strength Potions neatly lined up on the table.
The first potion turned out about the same as his original attempt, but as he worked through the others, the potions kept improving.
The last potion even reached a four-star rating!
[Congratulations! You've successfully crafted a Strength Potion (Silver Star Quality ☆☆☆☆)]
[Effect: Greatly increases strength for fifteen minutes upon consumption, +60 attack power, and critical hit rate increases to 60%]
[Consumption cooldown: Four days]
[Note: If not limited by the materials, it could have been a Gold Star Potion!]
The duration and enhancement effects had significantly improved, and the cooldown had dropped by a whole day.
"Sister Jin Tu wasn't kidding – practice really does make perfect." Han Qiwu wrung out the sweat dripping from his clothes while pondering whether to use his stash of blue spinach.
The note made it clear that he now had a shot at crafting a Gold Star Potion!
After some deliberation, Han Qiwu clenched his teeth, "Blue spinach can always be replanted. Worst case scenario, I'll open up another patch of land and grow the stuff again—let's try this!"
He took out five stalks of blue spinach, took a deep breath, and got serious about crafting.
Time ticked by, and his focus grew increasingly sharp.
When it came to the final step—shaking the container—Han Qiwu closely monitored it while counting the shakes.
"750, 751, 752…"
At the count of 777, he slowed his motions down.
"Wait a second… The color and structure—this looks just like it's at the completed stage!"
Han Qiwu's memory was almost photographic; he distinctly remembered the recipe stating eight hundred shakes were required, but he also recalled the specific coloration and structural cues from his previously completed Strength Potions!
Should he trust the recipe or his judgment?
As he weighed the decision, the potion continued evolving—time was tight, leaving no room for prolonged thought!
"Trust yourself!" Han Qiwu's pupils contracted slightly as he delivered two strong additional shakes, followed by a steady 360-degree spin to invert the container onto the stabilizing base.
It was done!
"Phew, phew…"
Han Qiwu panted heavily as he kept his eyes locked on the container set on the base, which was still undergoing transformation.
Would it work?
A few seconds later, the potion's reaction gradually subsided, and a soft golden glow began to surface from the outer layer of its vibrant color.
The sight was both familiar and exhilaratingly new.
Han Qiwu released a long breath and leaned against the wall behind him, feeling a profound sense of accomplishment welling up within.
He did it!
Pouring the potion into a vial, Han Qiwu eagerly checked its attributes.
[Congratulations! You've successfully crafted a Strength Potion (Gold Star Quality ⭐)]
[Effect: Greatly increases strength for twenty minutes upon consumption, +80 attack power, +20% attack speed, and critical hit rate increases to 80%]
[Consumption cooldown: Two days]
[Note: Believe in strength, create miracles!]
Gold Star Quality!
+80 attack power! Critical hit rate increased to 80%!
Luck permitting, that's a huge critical hit!
And the cooldown was just two days.
Grabbing the potion, Han Qiwu quickly reached for his notebook and jotted down the entire crafting process, including the changes and adjusted shake count during the final stage.
With the notes complete, Han Qiwu wrapped up his crafting session and wearily stepped out of the room.
Once the excitement wore off, he finally felt the aching soreness in his arms and calves, along with a slight headache from overexerting his brain.
Noticing Han Qiwu's worn-out state, Jin Tu immediately handed him a glass of water and smiled, "How're you feeling? Want to take a break?"
"It's fine, Sister Jin Tu. Actually, I made an interesting discovery…" Han Qiwu took the water, sipping it bit by bit as he described to Jin Tu what had just happened.
After listening, Jin Tu's expression was one of pure astonishment. "Good heavens, you're an absolute genius! How many times have you crafted potions—three? Five? And you've already started actively analyzing recipes? Quick, show me the potion!"
Han Qiwu blushed slightly, smiling modestly, "Not really, I've only done this four times so far."
He then handed Jin Tu the Gold Star Strength Potion for inspection.
Taking the vial, Jin Tu retrieved something resembling a magnifying glass and scrutinized it closely. The more she looked, the bigger the smile on her face grew.
"Thud!"
Egger, who had been observing from the sidelines, marched over and gave Han Qiwu a hearty slap on the shoulder. With an enthusiastic thumbs-up, he exclaimed, "You're brewed for greatness! No wonder you're my friend!"
Han Qiwu: "..."
