Chapter 29: Challenge
(Jason's POV)
"Man I'm spent." I said as I slouched down on the chair
I was at the guild waiting for Makarov to come and tell me something. But he had to attend some business so it'll be a while probably. I just sat on one of the chairs as everyone else went about their business.
"Jason!" I turned to see Lucy approach me, "Long time!"
Her skin was shining and she blushed a little.
"Yo, Lucy." I smiled, "Looking as sexy as always."
"Oh you…." She said, "Hey what are you doing later?"
I shrugged, "Not much." I said, "Why?"
"Was wondering if you'd like to join us for a picnic.." She said, "There's gonna be some sort of party in the park."
"Hm...." I said, "Who's going to be there?"
"Mostly Team Natsu." She said, "I spoke to them, they won't have any issues."
Before I could respond, I saw Laxus appeared behind Lucy.
"Oi." He said seriously
"Laxus!" Lucy said in surprise as she moved out of the way
Laxus gave me a serious look. I saw Gajeel and Natsu standing behind him.
"Can I help you?" I asked
"You're not a member." He said, "Why are you here?"
I shrugged, "Ask your grandfather." I said, "He's the one who called me here."
"I heard you wanted a redo on the duel." Laxus said, "I'm willing to take you up on the offer."
I raised an eyebrow, "Is that so?"
Lightning began to crackle around him as Gajeel and Natsu gave me serious looks.
"Laxus!" Lucy exclaimed, "This is not the time for this!"
I chuckled, "As tempting as that is, thunder boy." I said, "But I have no interest in a duel. Not anymore."
"Why's that?" He asked
"Tch!" Gajeel scoffed, "You have Laxus challenging you and you're chickening out? What a pussy!"
"Forget Laxus!" Natsu said, "Fight me! I want that rematch!"
I closed my eyes and sighed, "You imbeciles." I said shaking my head, "You guys are a bit too late for that. I have other plans. As soon as Makarov tells me what he summoned me for, I'm leaving."
Lucy looked at me, "Really?" She said looking a bit hurt
I nodded, "I must embark on a journey." I said, "I'll be back, though."
Laxus looked at me, "What journey?"
Before I could respond, Seilah spoke up.
"To hunt Tartaros." She said
She was standing silently behind me this whole time. Her presence was not felt due to her elusive abilities that I granted her. She wore the grey military uniform I wanted her to be in whenever we weren't alone. She looked nice in it.
Laxus and the others looked at her.
"And what's with this?" He said, "Why is one of The Nine Demon Gates with you?"
"I am Jason-sama's servant." Seilah said, "No need to worry about anything else."
Laxus raised an eyebrow, "Is that so?" He said, "I'll warn you though. If you pose a threat, I'll crush you."
"Oi oi oi." I said seriously, "Don't threaten my servant like that, thunder boy. Otherwise we'll have a real problem."
I stood up as Laxus gave me a serious glare.
"If you want to do something about it, you can." He said
I stood inches from him as I gave him a vicious glare.
"You think I'm scared of you? Of all people, you?" I growled, "A simple coward who wanted to take over this guild has no right to speak to me or my servants as he pleases. If you want, we can take this outside."'
Laxus didn't say anything as veins popped in his forehead out of anger.
"Enough!" I heard a voice shout
I turned to see Erza walk up to us with a serious look. My god, she looked beautiful in her armor. My dick started to tingle a bit.
I noticed that Seilah realized this as she looked down at my crotch.
Erza walked up to us, "There's no reason to start a fight." She said, "Jason here has proven that he isn't an enemy. He helped repel Tartaros and even helped Wendy and Cana. Laxus, I ask you to stop antagonizing him."
Laxus turned around and walked away without saying a word.
I took a step back and sighed, "Everyone wants the smoke." I said
Erza looked at me, "If I recall, you're the one that wanted to fight so badly." She said, "What changed?"
I gave her a slight smile, "You got me mistaken, Titania." I said, "The only person I want to fight here is you."
She returned the smile, "I would love to spar with you one of these days." She said, "But here, Master apologizes for the inconvenience."
She handed me an envelope.
"What's this?" I asked
"What he wanted to tell you." She said, "Its the location of a contact that may know something about the Baram Alliance. That way you can hunt Tartaros more effectively."
I nodded, "Thanks."
I then walked past her as I smiled at Lucy. She merely blushed and looked away.
"By the way, Jason." Erza said
I stopped to look at her. She was giving me a slight smile.
"If you truly want to have a duel with me." She said, "You must first go through my colleagues. That is if you actually want to."
I gave her a smirk, "When I return." I said,
"I'll challenge anyone to get to you."
