Fairy Tail: Strongest Creature

The heat gradually died down and disappeared soon after.

In Su Yan's dragon claw, most of Dorma Anim had already melted away, exposing Edolas' King Faust. Su Yan had deliberately kept him alive; otherwise, Faust would have been the first to be vaporized. At this point, the king's eyes had rolled back in his head—whether from sheer terror or from Su Yan's conqueror's haki woven into the dragon breath, he had already lost consciousness.

Su Yan turned his gaze in the direction of a voice and saw Mystogan approaching, riding atop a large eagle.

"Mystogan?"

"Prince?!" Pantherlily exclaimed at the sight of Mystogan.

"Prince?" Gajeel echoed. He only knew Mystogan as an S-class wizard in Fairy Tail—mysterious, always on the move. Gajeel hadn't expected Lily to call him "Prince," implying he was royalty in Edolas.

Mystogan spoke to Su Yan: "I'm sorry. It took me a while to locate the remnants of Anima that could reverse the process and restore everything to its original state. The magic crystal will be sent back to Earthland through the reversed Anima and returned to normal. It's all over now."

Hearing this, Su Yan looked toward the floating island where the enormous magic crystal had been, realizing that it was already gone.

He let out a quiet breath of relief. After all, the future was unpredictable; there was no guarantee events would follow the original storyline. If he hadn't intervened just now, Fairy Tail's guild members might have been annihilated.

Su Yan descended, his enormous body gradually shrinking until he returned to human form, still clutching the unconscious King Faust in one hand. Mystogan also landed nearby.

Pantherlily ran over. "Your Highness!!"

"Lily! It's been too long," Mystogan replied.

The Exceed still looked puzzled. "Prince… what's all this? Where have you been these seven years, and why are you with these people who invaded Edolas?"

Mystogan answered, "I'm sorry for all the secrecy. I am indeed Prince Jellal of Edolas, as well as Mystogan of Fairy Tail. Seven years ago, I traveled to Earthland and joined Fairy Tail. I discovered what Anima was planning, and I've spent these seven years trying to stop it. I never imagined my father would go so far as to target Fairy Tail and create an enormous Anima, making it impossible for me to intervene in time. Hence all that's happened today."

"So you're the prince of Edolas," Natsu and the others murmured in surprise. They hadn't realized Mystogan was the son of the same king who had transformed Magnolia Town into a magic crystal.

"Yes. I'm truly sorry. Though my father has committed unforgivable acts, as his son I still hope he can live. Of course, I'll make sure he's confined so he can't harm anyone else."

Su Yan listened, then tossed the unconscious King Faust over to Mystogan. 

"Fine. We came here only to save our city and our guild. I guess the punishment is enough, as long as our people are safe."

"Thank you…" Mystogan said quietly.

Suddenly, the floating islands in the sky began drifting down toward the ground.

"What's going on?!"

"Hey, what happened now?!"

"Is the whole land about to collapse—?!"

They gazed upward, alarmed at the unexpected sight.

Gajeel hazarded a guess. "Maybe it's because of that huge clash just now?"

Pantherlily shook his head. "No, I've heard these islands float by means of the world's magic. Now that they're sinking, it must mean…"

"That the magic of Edolas is disappearing," Mystogan finished.

"But how could it vanish so quickly? Even if His Majesty used Dorma Anim, the world's magic couldn't have been consumed this fast!" Pantherlily's face was grim. He knew the dragoon's capabilities, but the battle had ended in such a short time, with Dorma Anim destroyed by Su Yan.

Mystogan sighed. "It wasn't Dorma Anim. I reversed the Anima."

"Your Highness?!" Lily gasped.

Mystogan kept his voice solemn. "Because magic exists here, people constantly fight over it. So I intend to remove magic from this world. Through the reversed Anima, Edolas's magic is flowing into Earthland. And once it's there, it will dissipate into nature. To create a new beginning, Edolas has to be stripped of magic—its entire foundation must be undone."

Edolas Lucy panicked. "No! You can't! Without magic power, what'll happen to the wizard guilds?!"

Earthland Lucy tried to calm her. "Lucy, settle down—it'll be okay!"

"How can it be okay?!" Edolas Lucy grabbed Earthland Lucy by the shoulders. "If all magic in this world disappears… everything—the Sorcerer's Guild—what will we do?!"
