Fairy Tail: Jinchuriki

Actually, Alex wants to make his return a surprise for his friends. But Mavis has already told them soon after he wakes up. She contacted Cana through the Fairy Glitter mark.

"I'm sorry." Mavis looks very sorry after hearing that Alex wants to surprise the Guild members. She even tears up, which makes Alex feels guilty somehow, as if he is making a child cry even though she is much older than him.

"Nah, don't worry about it. It's not something important anyway. Besides, now that I think about it, telling them is a better idea. I can't go back wearing just a piece of cloth that is barely enough to cover my crotch. There are animal pelts, but there's no way I can use them without some processing first. So on that note, can you ask them to bring me some proper clothes?"

Alex thought they would arrive tonight at the fastest because of the distance between this island and Magnolia. So he goes fishing to fill his belly first. Fish doesn't need a lot of processing, so he won't need too much time to prepare them.

Normally, getting them won't be easy without tools. But Alex can get a lot of them easily by transforming into Mini Gyuki and using lightning on a large area to electrocute the fish. After that, he just needs to collect the fish, gut them, and roast them over the fire.

He has just about to bite the 1st cooked fish when he sees something flying over to the island from afar. Alex tilts his head when Mavis says that they are here because he doesn't know who she meant by that.

"Ah, they haven't had it when you were gone. That is Fairy Tail's airship, the Battle Fairy."

The airship finally arrives on the island and its size really makes Alex speechless. It's even bigger than Grimoire Heart's airship and it looks like a flying battleship he would see in scifi movies.

On its head is a figure of a fairy whose hands have turned into cannons. It also has massive fairy wings on the sides of the back. Big Fairy Tail crests are drawn on the hulls and a Fairy Tail flag is held by a flying Fairy above the cabin.

He can understand why it's named Battle Fairy immediately. Apart from its design that's full of Fairy theme and the fact that it looks like a battleship, it certainly looks like a vehicle they'll use to attack their enemies.

The Battle Fairy lands on the coast because it will destroy many trees if it lands in the forest. Alex moves to meet them on the coast while eating a big roasted tuna in his hands. He comes out of the forest only wearing a piece of cloth wrapped around his waist.

"Yo, long time no-," Alex sees his Guild Mates flocking onto the coast and greets them when someone suddenly jumps on him and hugs him. It's none other than his lonely lover, Mirajane.

"Welcome back." Mira sobs while hugging him, so Alex can only hug her back while handing over the roasted tuna to Meteor.

"ALEX!" Everyone else also rushes toward him, jumping onto him together and pins him down without considering the situation at all. They couldn't even wait until Mira and Alex stopped hugging each other.

It's a good thing that both Alex and Mira are powerful S-Class Mages whose bodies won't break even when many people are pinning them down. Though the tears flowing out of their eyes might drown Alex to death.

It takes a while for everyone to release Alex, but they still surround him to ask many questions. They even ask stupid questions like where he was these last 6 years and what he was doing, which reminds Alex that his friends are mostly idiots, but he still likes them.

"By the way, can you give me clothes now? I feel cold."

They all talk so much that they forget Alex is almost completely naked now. So they laugh awkwardly before giving him a set of clean clothes.

"Well, sorry about that. But man, you really still look the same as 6 years ago. It's like you don't age a single day." Gray looks at Alex up and down because Alex's appearance really doesn't seem to change.

"That's the effect of having my body frozen for years. I can't say the same about my mind though. It actually felt like I've been living longer than I should be. I felt like at least a decade has passed since my battle with Acnologia, so I was surprised when the 1st Master told me it has only been 6 years."

Alex doesn't lie about this. His nonstop battle with the 10 Tails actually made him feel like time moved very slowly. After all, he couldn't sleep, he couldn't rest, he couldn't tell how day and night passed, and he was under the constant pressure of being killed all the time.

It was already a miracle that he didn't go crazy from that nonstop battle in his soul realm. Most people would have just given up and let themselves get killed if they were in Alex's position for years.

His Guild Mates are obviously speechless when knowing that he didn't just sleep for 6 years and actually fighting a God-like existence that tried to take over his body all this time.

"You are not kidding, right?" Cana and everyone are having a hard time believing it because Alex tells them the gist of his experience in the last 6 years while eating roasted fish.

"No need to believe me if you want."

"Are you fighting the same existence that you fought after Mystogan's exam?" Laxus asks with a serious expression.

"Hmm? Ah, so you remember. Yeah, it was the same being. But it has gotten stronger and I also got weaker after fighting Acnologia. That thing was hiding in my body while amassing power to take it over. But there's no way I would hand over my body to that monster, so I fought with everything I had and finally took it down completely now."

"And that eye is the proof of your victory?" Erza points at Alex's right eye, the Rinne-Sharingan eye.

"Correct. This is that thing's eye. I've completely Take Over its soul, gaining its abilities. But somehow I got its eye permanently instead of just when I transformed into it. Actually, I don't even know if I can even transform into that thing."

"That's unusual. But it's not an impossible scenario in Take Over Magic. If a creature's ability is too strong, it can cause a permanent change in the Mage's body. It also happens to other Magic as well. If you remember Lord Warrod, then you should realize that his tree-like hair was the result of his magic affecting his body."

Makarov assures Alex that it's normal, so he doesn't need to worry. Though Alex is never worried in the first place. He just wants them to know that his eye is just an ability, not a sign that he becomes a demon or something.

Anyway, they talk more after that, mostly about what happened during Alex's absence. He is really impressed when he heard that they don't destroy things that much anymore while working, that's why they could build an airship.

It was also thanks to the money they got from selling Edolas Alex's designs and blueprints of lacrima-powered vehicles that didn't exist on Earthland yet. Just the shares from the patent alone has given them enough money to be the richest Magic Guild in Fiore.

But the most interesting news for Alex is the Grand Magic Games. With most of their core members still in the Guild, Fairy Tail obviously never became last in the Grand Magic Games. Although winning every year is still difficult.

Surprisingly, they have only won once in the 3rd year of the competition at X788. The year X786's winner was Heaven's Runners, the X787's winner was Mermaid Heel, the X789's winner was Lamia Scale.

Heaven's Runners was the Guild made by Tower of Heaven's escapees. They were the only Guild that took the event seriously in its 1st year. While big Guilds only sent average members just to participate, they sent their best members and won.

After they won, Heaven's Runners got a lot of good paying jobs because their reputation in the public rose. It made every Guild realize how important the competition was, so they started taking it seriously.

Fairy Tail only won the competition once. But they always ranked 2nd or 3rd in other years, except the 1st year. Their participations actually increased the other Guilds' motivations and made their Mages work really hard to get stronger.

So the effects of the changes that Alex made in the past didn't just affect his Guild, but also others that interact with them. Well, he did affect other Guilds, like causing Ur and Ultear to join Mermaid Heel because of his actions, so Fairy Tail won't be the only one that changed.

"Heh, that sounds like an interesting event. I want to participate. When is this year's competition?" Alex is really excited to join, but everyone is silent while awkwardly looking at each other.

"We can't participate this year. We got banned." Makarov smiles wryly.

".... What?"
