Extra's Fate

Chapter 26: Characters

The next few hours passed in a blur.

Luckily, nothing 'exotic' happened during this timeframe.

All I did was prove that I was invited to the Academy by presenting my entrance certificate to the administration and officially enroll as a student.

By doing this I got my own personal apartment with a kitchen, bathroom and a bedroom occupied by a massive bed in which I was currently lying in.

There was a lot on my mind right now, so I just needed some silence.

I was quite frustrated to be honest.

"I'm so dumb…"

Placing a hand over my face, I sighed deeply.

Before talking to Ian, I truly believed that I wasn't the only one who had come to this world.

Now that I think about it, it was a childish thought or rather just wishful thinking.

I should have been more realistic and not get my hopes up. It's a miracle I even appeared in this world, if this wasn't a dream of course, there was almost no chance that there would be others like me.

'Curses…'

Looking at the orb of light hovering near my ceiling I cursed. The reflection of my face in the orb made me feel disgusted.

I looked pathetic.

Since when had I become so soft?

I had spent my entire past life alone, playing games. I neither had friends online nor in the game.

The closest human interaction I had for the past few years was talking to a cashier when buying food.

So what if I was alone?

I will do anything in my power to graduate from this Academy and survive until the end of this damned game.

Alone or not, I had enough knowledge to make even an extra character like me become someone remarkable.

"All right…"

Slapping myself in the cheeks, I shouted.

Since some life had returned to my body, it was time to go and explore the campus, make sure it was still the same as in the game.

Click…

Pressing my finger to the door, I quickly left my apartment, making sure to close the door behind me.

Just as I left the building, I noticed a black carriage moving in the distance.

"Princess…"

Following the black dot with my eyes, I muttered.

It seems that the other important people are also arriving at the Academy.

Well that is expected as tomorrow is the opening ceremony and everyone who is late is automatically expelled.

"…!"

Suddenly, I felt a chilling sensation wash over me.

My eyes were immediately drawn to a hooded man sitting on the back of the carriage, scanning the campus with his piercing gaze.

The aura surrounding him was... Overwhelming!

"Princess's guardian..."

Even in the game, the princess would always have at least one high tier guard guarding her at all times. Her character was considered to be quite easy to play because of that. Even if you wanted to die, it'd be hard with such a powerful being watching you.

As the carriage disappeared behind one of the buildings, I awoke from my stupor, shaking my head.

I almost forgot what I came here for.

'Do I have Adhd or something?'

Pinching my nose bridge, I let out a sigh and moved in the direction of the Academy's gardens.

I am going to be honest, they are massive!

The amount of plant life growing in these areas was staggering. The game even did a disservice to the size of them as many areas except roads were blocked off by invisible barriers, but now were open for me to explore.

Unfortunately, I was only able to enjoy 20% of the whole greenery, because if I left the exterior circle of the gardens I knew there were monsters inhabiting the inner circles, for students who wanted to train in real-life scenarios.

Quite a good idea if you ask me.

After the gardens, I decided to visit the Cathedral located in the north of the Academy campus.

Like in my past world, this world also has a religion and since magic is present in this world, the religion is far more respected and revered here as the 'Mana' itself is called a miracle created by god.

There is even a saint that receives 'The God's' blessing, an unparalleled talent and Divinity, a higher form of Mana.

"Pray for your brothers and sisters..."

As soon as I entered inside the massive building, I noticed that there was already a Mass happening and quietly took a seat in one of the back rows.

Scanning the interior of the cathedral, I barely held myself back from whistling out of surprise. The place looked ancient!

"...Please, pray for the sins of those who know no better."

My grey eyes lazily moved around the entire area, finally stopping near the altar standing at the front.

Behind it, a beautiful woman stood with her delicate arms raised towards the sky.

She seemed to be the one leading today's Mass.

At first, I didn't see anything out of place.

Then, I suddenly noticed the white hair of the woman.

She seemed... familiar.

Leaning forward a bit, I narrowed my eyes.

It was then that everything clicked into place.

"So, she's here as well..."

The Saint has also arrived at the Academy.
