Existence Is My Woven Tapestry

Chapter 22: Chapter 22: Meeting The Creator

Alone in his room, Jarren sat in a lotus position on the floor as his breathes slowed significantly. His mind already above the mortal plane as he began to tune into the history of this world.

The birth of it all, the gods that watched it all unfold from the veil of the stars before descending into brainless wars with the blights known as demons, the work of a god that descended into corruption and madness.

And their creator, he never interfered but merely watch it all unfold. All of it felt like skimming through a book with a vague disinterest on his face. Nothing perculiar stood out to him, feeling mundane and boring as he saw countless wars, screams and cries of help from humans, elves and demons alike.

The rise and fall of empires banal before a certain arc drew his attention. His eyes peering through fate once sealed by the creator of this world now nothing more than a binder for him to access. He looked at five hundred years into the past where a war was underway.

But this wasn't another skirmish for power or control. The top elites from each race had converged to face one enemy. Sezrakul, a demon who smiled at the party facing him. Solon watched the clash that ensued, each one of the heros and heroines excelling in their field.

Thaelia Stormbrand, an elf elementalist who dabbled best in wind and lightning coating the battlefield with golden storm arcs and gales. Barak Thornebind, a human summoner, a prodigy at the past till this age who had his mythical beast leave craters trying to stomp Sezrakul. Lurien Voss another human who was an auxiliary on the battle field, constantly boosting the three and offering any help she could.

Of course far from the battle was Master Riqouz, a dwarf who was second to none in alchemy. The one responsible for all the potions and extra buffs in Lurien's hands who experimented and played off well with perfectly. And the one they were facing, Sezrakul The Gleaming Maw.

A phrenomancer who toyed in the field of mind games. Be it telekinesis, illusions, mind waves, fracture thoughts and more no other human, demon or elf could compete.

He was known all over for his sadistic games, how he would make soldiers hallucinate and turn on each other. Or how he would you with the minds of nobles, driving them mad after playing with their bodies.

The world feared his very name thus they chose to fight back. The fight dragged on for weeks but in the end, the heroes emerged victorious but with injuries as well. Sezrakul managed to slip through their fingers but with the amount of blood he had lost during the fight, it was clear that he wouldn't last long.

Solon noted the reason being the party lacked a mage or knight that focused in light as an elemental, the only thing the had going was Lurien who had water slowly healing them as they went on. If not then they would've lost the ordeal.

'Oh, it would seem that this world has a lot of uses with magic.' In a click, all that he needed to know flooded his mind in an instant. Records long forgotten were now available to him at his fingertips.

"This world has two paths for one to take, Maga And Knighthood. Maga having more to offer but Knighthood is much easier. In Maga, those who wield it are known as mages and those in Knighthood known as knights."

"Mages have four classes, two being optional and the other based off chance. Elementalists and Alchemists with the highest amount of people. Puppeteers that branched into two paths, orthodox and unorthodox. Orthodox being summoners that can call on mythological beasts and borrow their power at a steep price."

"Unorthodox being necromancers who manipulate skeletons, golems or undead. And the last class being auxiliary with a select few. There are a lot of elements to dabble in."

Looking at the list that comprised infront of him, he gave a light sigh at it all. There were primordial elements. These consisted of fire, water, wind, earth, shadow and light. Then there were hybrid elements which were formed through merging of two or more primordial elements.

Serrant had Scoria, a blend of fire and earth while Jovien focused on a single element, hydra. A mage once awakened could choose to master any element they desired alongside how much they wanted but this merely increased the toll they had to carry.

Not to mention they had to balance it with their physique in Knighthood, extremely few people went with more than two elements. For one to master three elements alone, they needed an Iron Strider rank for that. By then most mages are either still human or have broken through into Bronze Initiate rank.

As for Knighthood, it was way more straightforward than Maga. They had to execute a single function and that was strengthening their bodies. Both knights and mages needed this as the stronger one got, the sturdier the body their needed. However this didn't mean that Knights were free from the burdening task of mana control and manipulation.

If one chose to focus on their body and not their mana essence then it would only get harder as they ranked upwards. "As for these rankings in each path..." He looked at the two, his smile ever present.

For mages, the lowest rank was Ashborne and the highest Thornbreaker as such.

[{Ashborne}]

[{Vein Weaver}]

[{Wrymkindled}]

[{Gravechant}]

[{Dreadbound}]

[{Bloodwright}]

[{Hollow Saint}]

[{Thronebreaker}]

After that one could break the boundary and take a step into godhood starting off as a demigod but such beings never came to be. The very heavens handpicked those who would ascend and those who wouldn't. As for knights, they had a similar ranking. Not to mention it required a delicate balance between Knighthood and Maga.

[{Bronze Initiate}]

[{Iron Strider}]

[{Silver Vow}]

[{Crimson Sigils}]

[{Obsidian Hearts}]

[{Dragon Wrought}]

[{Gilded Champion}]

[{Crowned Warden}]

[{Titan}]

Few reached the latter stages of Maga, fewer in Knighthood making it unheard of for one to become a god in this world. 'So even demons have ranks as well.' His face composed.

[{Wretchling}]

[{Gorekin}]

[{Brandmarked}]

[{Dreadhorn}]

[{Malgrave}]

[{Abysskin}]

[{Nether borne}]

[{Blight lords}]

[{Forgotten Sovereigns}]

In his voidscape watching information dance about to his whims, space faltered slightly before a figure emerged. Adorned in loose robes, grey facial hair and an unreadable face, his starry eyes landed on Solon who merely beamed a warm smile. "Oh hello, don't mind me."

His tone light as he remained seated on nothing, his figure suspended by his pure will. "No, no, I was merely intrigued as to who was able to skim through time with such ease. I have no ill will towards you." Solon looked at the old man, tilting his head slightly. "You do know that I can end you and this world with a thought, right?"

The smile on his face gone replaced with something much more sinister. The old man's face contorted into discomfort but still went on with his masquerade. "I'm fully aware. You sensed me approach you and yet you let it happen. I can tell that you're something above me but you have yet to wipe or devour it all. Intrigued?"

Solon's smile came back like a boomerang. "Yes, I want to use your world to birth a horror and I think you'll be a fitting sacrifice, don't you agree." The creator of it all shuddered slightly, knowing that escape wasn't on the table. He gave a sigh of acceptance. "I understand but please do answer two questions I have. Who is it that you've fancy and are you the one responsible for the collision?"

Solon's eyes narrowed, his head was now in an unnatural position as he sized his visitor who grew more uncomfortable by the second. "A lady I brought from the old one, the one undergoing purgatory at the elven kingdom." The creator could guarantee that he was the one responsible for the Fracture and the collision of the two worlds.

"I do have to accept your taste, horror. Maybe technological advancements should make the game more interesting." The old man chuckled at this point aware that it would be folly to anger Solon. "I knew that you would understand, since you're here, how about you have champions and make the game more interesting. Our pawns on this game. I already have two."

A crack through space occured, no flashes simply being. And on the other side showed Reynolds decaying body, maggots had already started to claim his body, soil filled his mouth and flies buzzed all over. "But of course, how many champions do you wish for me to deploy?" The old man asked.

"Surprise me." Solon smiled, letting a light laugh. "Even you can play alongside me down in Arcania." A light sweat formed on the old man's face. His laugh deep and guttural. "I'm too old to be playing with mortals but I'll make sure that this tragic act is worth your presence."

Solon closed the distance between the two, his hand resting on the man's shoulder. He felt his body tense upon contact stretching his serpentine smile closer to his eyes. "Don't worry, I'm sure that you'll amuse me along with your gods. Have each of them send about... four champions. I do hope that you'll put on something worth my time."

And just like that, Solon's figure vanished back into Jarren's body leaving the old man in deep thought. 'At first I thought that it was a rogue god but now... it's lucky that he didn't end my life in an instant.'

Recalling Solon's words, he peered into the elven kingdom and saw the lady he spoke off. Her figure suspended, her body drenched in blood but peering into her mind, his face went blank. "What the-" Crimson who was blank felt a light poke at his head and looking where it came from, she was baffled to see a man looking at her but the fissure in space closed shortly after.

"How could she see me? If this is his horror in training then I fear what will come next. It would seem that I have to make contact with those incompetent toys of mine." A sigh escaping his lips as his figure vanished once more. It was clear that Solon didn't want attention as he would have caused a scene on Arcania.

He chose to watch and with a first row seat drink in the chaos that ensued. Taking a look at the now desolate and godless world, it was overrun by Wretchlings and Gorekins as more of his humans and elves kept on traversing through the two worlds.

'It's quite clear that he wants a show and end my life alongside this world along with it.' A laugh escaped his lips, not out of cunningness of debauchery that he had in his mind but of acceptance. 'Then it will be one that I'll make sure he never forgets.'

Once more his figure vanished but it wasn't as subtle as Solon's as space distorted around him and in a blink he was gone.
