CHAPTER 300: COPY CAT II

Rebecca heard the system notification, her expression darkening with a mixture of anger and concern.

"It seems… they've betrayed me," she muttered under her breath, rising to her feet and pausing the delicate process of healing her fractured soul.

The atmosphere shifted. Tension radiated from her like a suppressed storm.

"Goddess, where exactly are you going? I wish to accompany you to protect you—as a dutiful soldier should," the dragon king offered, lowering himself in feigned reverence.

Rebecca's gaze was cold and sharp. "You betrayed me… and now you collude with my enemies. Do you not fear the repercussions of your actions?" Her voice held no warmth—only quiet judgment and seething restraint. She wasn't in the mood for his pretenses.

"You should know how I became your subordinate," the dragon king began, no longer pretending to be loyal. "After death, you refused to let me pass on. Instead, you forced me back into this world, bending me to your will to serve your ends. You destroyed my clan and still had the audacity to resurrect me for your agenda."

He scoffed.

"With your power weakened and your control over us slipping, our betrayal should have been obvious. If not for the fanatical loyalty of Number Twenty and Number One, I would've dismantled everything you built long ago. Now, a real chance to stop you has presented itself… and I intend to seize it."

Rebecca said nothing in response, turning away without a word.

The dragon king watched her back as she walked, a smug grin blooming on his face. "You're not destroying me, because you can't, not anymore. If you think I'll fall under your control again, you're more foolish than I thought."

Unaware that the goddess had a far deeper reason for her inaction.

Meanwhile...

The copy cat race—conceived by the god of dragons and deep creatures, Nemesis—was built not to balance, but to dominate.

A terrifying species, the copy cats could devour any lifeform and absorb its strengths, while discarding its weaknesses entirely. Their evolution was endless—the more powerful the species consumed, the stronger they became. And the most terrifying part? They passed on this enhanced DNA to their offspring.

They could only truly be destroyed if their Primogenitor—Void—was killed. Worse still, Void could inherit all the abilities of his descendants. The race was a living system of exponential growth.

Greg stared at the creature standing before him with immense satisfaction.

Void had six gleaming slit-eyes arranged to give him 360-degree vision. He had no ears, but his body absorbed vibrations from all directions and interpreted them with perfect precision.

His mouth was small, unassuming—until it expanded via space-bending abilities to swallow entire beasts whole. His body resembled a human's, but his skin—smooth and flesh-toned—was actually thousands of ultra-dense, nearly invisible scale cells, providing incredible defense without limiting flexibility.

Wings extended from his back, sleek and muscular. His tail was tipped with a venomous stinger that pulsed with dormant power.

Greg retrieved a vial from his inventory—one he had prepared in advance. It contained Vibro-Nitrogens—bacteria with absurd replication speeds and minimal nutrient needs, doubling in mass every ten minutes.

"Time to give you a little gift," Greg murmured.

He poured the vial's contents into Void's mouth.

[Void has gained a new ability.]

The host can self-replicate, creating fully independent offspring every 10 minutes using ambient mana.

An hour later, six copy cats had already been born—each slightly varied in genetic build, each fully sentient.

Greg let them roam freely to test their instincts and gather environmental data. Void, however, he placed in his independent space, fully shielded. He wouldn't risk letting the Primogenitor out—not yet. Not until Void could protect himself and retreat when necessary.

"It's time to farm stats," Greg muttered, cracking his knuckles. "Intelligence stats more importantly… The Witch Dungeon should be perfect."

Greg arrived at the Witch Dungeon, one of the most treacherous instances in Apocalypse. It was a level 75 dungeon populated by magic-wielding witches who soared through the air on enchanted brooms, bombarding enemies with precise long-range spells.

But even more daunting was the entrance—now infested with Shadow Slaves, their numbers swollen from the recent fall of countless players and natives.

Greg summoned two divine clones beside him.

Unlike Heaven's Might, divine clones and independent space weren't tied to his active divine stats, so he could still use them despite the penalties.

"Clear them out—and don't kill all of them. Capture one alive. I want to see what Void gains from it," Greg ordered.

Nemesis Grey and Nemesis Purple nodded. Their eyes shimmered faintly with golden hues, and without a word, they surged forward.

They didn't use AOE skills like abyssal flames—it would've defeated the purpose. Instead, they relied on precision, elegance, and brutal efficiency.

Shadow Slaves fell swiftly, limbs torn cleanly, magic dissipated before it could fully form. One was left alive, incapacitated for later use.

Greg remained in place, watching.

Each kill, each shadow soul consumed by his aura of darkness, increased his resonance with the Law of Darkness.

He smirked. At 25%, the concept had awakened. But he hadn't yet touched it. He was waiting.

"Change of plans," he muttered.

Two more divine clones materialized behind him.

"Let's push it to 50%," he said, his tone dark with anticipation.

He planned to maximize his clones this time around to increase his assimilation of the concept to 50% while he attempt the dungeon with heaven's Defier.
