The first thing Michael noticed was Prince's new form.
It resembled Lucky's evolution—but this time, everything was amplified.
Bigger didn't even begin to describe it.
It was massive. Towering.
Prince stood at nearly seven meters.
His new form was a blend of beast and fortress.
The stone-like hide was darker than Lucky's, veined with not just green, but streaks of deep crimson—like blood carved into rock.
The vines that clung to him were thicker.
The thorns were longer, sharper, dripping with a black sap that hissed as it touched the forest floor.
But it wasn't just the appearance.
The pressure coming from Prince's body was suffocating.
Michael's breath hitched as the aura rolled over him like a wave, thick and forceful. It was unlike anything his undead had released before.
His eyes narrowed.
Even then, his shoulders tensed.
What the hell did he become…?
Michael took a step closer, slowly, studying every inch.
Prince turned his head slightly. Their eyes met.
Michael paused.
There was no aggression. No wild instinct..
Only calm recognition.
Loyalty.
And power.
He opened his system panel and quickly scanned the updated entry.
The first thing he noticed were the new skills in Prince's status, followed by the experience points needed to level up—causing Michael's eyes to widen in disbelief.
His gaze instinctively shifted to Prince's current level, and when he saw it, his breath hitched.
[Venomthorn Ravager Lv. 42]
[Name: Prince.]
[Rank: Extraordinary★]
Michael's breathing quickened before he managed to calm himself a few seconds later.
"Level 42," he muttered again.
This level of power… it was overwhelming.
Was that monster from before even as strong as the current Prince? Michael couldn't help but wonder, glancing at the creature with a gleam of admiration in his eyes. He realized just how wrong he'd been to assume Prince couldn't take the top spot in his army.
Because, at least for now, Prince was the absolute strongest.
Once again, Michael found himself unable to compete with the top power in his undead forces. But he didn't feel sad about it.
"This is how it's meant to be."
And it truly was.
A stronger undead meant a stronger him—as a Necromancer. That familiar sense of security returned, knowing he now had a creature this powerful under his command.
But that wasn't the only thing running through Michael's mind.
After seeing the strength gained from evolving Prince into a one-star Extraordinary creature with a new level cap of 49, he couldn't help but wonder—what kind of power would Lucky reach as a three-star at the same rank?
If he had doubts before about Lucky jumping straight into Rank 3 with its evolution at Level 25, Prince's transformation now made him certain.
As for testing Prince's abilities?
Michael already had some idea of what to expect, thanks to Lucky's evolution. And besides—he didn't have a death wish. Not when it came to being near a poison-type creature of this magnitude.
He wasn't about to use his own body to find out how resistant he was to toxic sap.
And speaking of his body.
Michael turned to glance at his hands as the feeling if increased strength faded from his body.
He had just gotten the feedback of a one star extraordinary creature advancing to the next rank.
And the feeling he got.
It was huge.
Michael excitedly called out his status.
'Status.'

"Heavens!" Michael exclaimed in surprise.
The increase in stats he received from Prince's feedback was massive.
One had to understand—he was a High Human now. And yet, even with that, his stats had increased by such a staggering amount at just one level.
It made him wonder…
Just how much had his stats increased, at least in terms of raw numbers?
Michael didn't know for sure, but he was confident—it had to be a lot.
And this was just the first of many Extraordinary creatures he planned to evolve.
The stronger his body became, the more feedback he could endure before the effects eventually, inevitably, began to weaken.
But even then...
How much stronger was he going to become?
Also—
With what he'd just witnessed from Prince's evolution, didn't that mean that, by the time all his undead reached Extraordinary rank, he would command at least a hundred level 40—or near level 40—powerhouses?
The thought alone sent a wave of excitement through him, making his body tremble.
After calming himself down, Michael's eyes drifted to his attribute points.
Thanks to his recent level-up, he had gained 10 points to immediately boost his stats.
Wait a moment...
Why 10 and not 6 like before?
The answer was simple.
Michael was no longer just human.
He was a High Human now.
Combined with his class, which granted him 4 attribute points per level, his new race granted him 6—4 more than the standard human race.
When Michael had first learned this information, he had almost been tempted to abandon his decision to wait before evolving himself.
Fortunately, he'd managed to see the bigger picture.
Still, the High Human race was undeniably incredible.
Even the natural stat increases that came with the class were impressive:
+1.5 to Strength, +2 to Agility, +1 to Constitution, and +2.5 to Intelligence.
These were significant gains.
Michael knew that, compared to other High Human Awakeners who had started as one from the beginning, he wasn't necessarily the weakest—but he also wasn't among the strongest.
At best, he was likely above average among the general population of the High Human race.
Michael turned to look at his attribute points and was tempted to invest two into his Intelligence stat.
He wondered if it might trigger the awakening of a new skill—but remembering his usual luck, he shook his head and gave up on the idea.
At most, with two days of evolution ahead, he could raise his Intelligence through meditation.
That way, he'd also save on attribute points.
Michael gave Prince one last look—one more second to admire the towering beast that now stood as the pillar of his undead forces.
The venomous aura Prince exuded still lingered in the air, thick and heavy, but it didn't make Michael uneasy. Instead, it brought a sense of comfort.
A strong undead was a strong Necromancer.
He lifted his hand and activated the dismissal command.
With a flicker of dark light, Prince dissolved into swirling shadows, vanishing back into the Netherworld.
Michael exhaled slowly, his mind already shifting toward the next step.
The undead griffin.
The second of his three-star Rare creatures. The next in line for evolution.
With 125 evolution points, it could push into the one-star Extraordinary rank—just like Prince.
The thought filled him with a quiet confidence.
If Prince had transformed into something so monstrous... then what kind of power would the griffin obtain?
Michael turned to the side and climbed onto the waiting form of the undead griffin. Its wings twitched as he settled in place, and without a command, it took off, soaring into the air with a flap.
Michael didn't look back as they left the secluded spot behind.
The rest of the day passed in relative calm.
After returning to the capital, Michael took the opportunity to rest, plan, and wait.
He still needed another full day to generate the next wave of evolution points.
Until then, there was nothing he could do.
But that didn't stop the anticipation from clawing at him.
He couldn't stop picturing it.
The transformation. The shift. The birth of something powerful.
So when noon came the next day, Michael was already standing in the same spot he'd evolved Prince, the undead griffin looming beside him.
Without hesitation, Michael used his talent on the griffin.
Immediately, a bright light started to emit from the griffin body and it let out a loud screech filled with pain.
Michael who stood some distance away observed whatever change he could.
