Chapter 1215: Revelation and Pursuit (Part 2)
Aside from that, Leo Ray unsurprisingly noticed.
Perhaps because the energy surge had officially begun, the whole trunk's exterior was extremely thick, coursing with an extremely rich flow of energy, even rivaling that of the Absolute Defense Barrier.
This undoubtedly meant that, with our current combat power, we couldn't even begin to destroy the Forbidden Tree directly.
Leo Ray did not linger on the crowd but instead, with a thought, minimized the screen, bringing more scenes into view.
His vision swept past the earth's surface where the massive trunk was located, extending underground.
He saw at least two-thirds of the trunk was buried underground, and below that, there were countless tangled and intertwined roots.
These roots, deeply hidden beneath the earth, twisted and squirmed slightly, which was visually striking.
At the lowest point of the roots was a vast area similar to an underground water source, nourishing some of the thickest roots.
What shocked Leo Ray, however, was that this underground water source area was an alarming black and gray, starkly different from the adjacent normal white water area.
Noticing this scene, Leo Ray first froze, then tightly furrowed his brow.
Considering the actions of the mysterious presence over the past century, the empty and lifeless Radiant City, and the stench exuded by the roots, the answer to the situation was self-evident.
With a chill in his heart, Leo Ray's view continued to shift. However, until the Tower of Dawn's perceptible limits, it was endlessly vast and almost suffocating.
Compared to the massive scales of roots and trunks, our forces and the throne on the surface were like an insignificant blade of grass, almost negligible.
Having reached an impasse, after surveying the entire scene, Leo Ray refocused his perspective on the location of the massive trunk.
Inside the massive trunk, he saw countless intricate magic lines, as well as various large, medium, and small magic arrays arranged in an orderly fashion, with streams of energy, thick and thin, flowing freely within, dazzling the eyes.
This peculiar scene was much like a very detailed plant diagram, with both the surface and subsurface parts clearly visible.
However, despite the clarity, the depth and complexity were such that Leo Ray had no idea where to start or how to use the Forbidden Tree to counterattack the mysterious presence.
Leo Ray's gaze shifted back and forth among the thousands of magic arrays within the trunk, with an increasing sense of helplessness.
Even in a meditative state, Leo Ray's forehead was covered in sweat, and his brow was tightly furrowed.
After all, this was merely the ideal scenario envisioned by him and Fei'er, as to whether it could actually be achieved, he had no certainty in his heart.
"But this at least gives me a glimmer of hope for victory, and that's enough."
Leo Ray focused his mind and continued to direct his attention inside the trunk.
From the overview just seen, it was clear that this was the core of the entire Forbidden Tree.
"The dense network of roots draws energy from all over the Human World, transmitting it through the trunk to the branches and Trickster Blossoms, eventually supplying the mysterious presence."
Leo Ray carefully observed the massive trunk, his brain working rapidly.
The next step would be to find a breakthrough; otherwise, there was no way to begin, and he had no time to analyze these countless magic arrays individually.
After all, the function of "Tower of Dawn • Revelation" was merely to analyze all the magic arrays and energy flows that made up the entire Forbidden Tree before him.
Whether he could find a way out depended on how he could clear the fog and understand the essence of this entire magic system.
"But as I just thought, if time were ample, analyzing one by one would be fine, but the problem is that there is no time now."
Leo Ray felt drenched in sweat, wanting to ask Fei'er for advice, but found he could not communicate, for she apparently did not enter this peculiar meditative state with him.
"So, I can only rely on myself now?"
Leo Ray's gaze moved, continuing to scrutinize the trunk's position.
When Leo Ray moved his gaze to the bottom of the trunk, his eyes suddenly brightened, clearly having discovered something.
He saw that the energy flow gathered from the roots was initially not the deep black supplied to the mysterious presence, but pure white.
It wasn't until the central region of the trunk that it gradually converted to gray and continued toward darker colors until it fully transitioned to deep black at the junction of the trunk top region and the branches.
"So, it means that the main role of the trunk is to convert the drawn-up energy, while the branches and Trickster Blossoms are tools to supply energy?"
"With this step, it means the mysterious presence must be unable to directly absorb the initial energy drawn up."
"If I destroy all the conversion magic arrays within the trunk while other parts continue operating normally, wouldn't that allow the initially drawn energy to directly affect the mysterious presence?"
Thinking of this, Leo Ray was excited in his heart.
This was clearly the key to breaking the stalemate!
"The last question is how to dismantle these energy conversion barriers while ensuring the trunk operates normally?"
Thinking of this, Leo Ray furrowed his brow again.
Not to mention ensuring the trunk's normal operation, even if he attacked with full force, he certainly couldn't break through that massive trunk's exterior again.
Just as Leo Ray was in another dilemma, Fei'er's clear voice suddenly rang in Leo Ray's ears: "Sorry, I just discovered that several important formations on the tower body had fallen into disrepair, unable to activate automatically, so I went to manually reactivate them."
"I thought you couldn't enter this magical meditative state."
Leo Ray responded, then briefly described his findings to Fei'er.
"Young man, as expected of you, we've finally found the key to opening the door to victory!"
After hearing Leo Ray's words, Fei'er's excited voice immediately sounded.
"But how should we destroy the energy conversion magic arrays within the trunk?"
As Leo Ray said this, he suddenly became enlightened: "Fei'er, do you have a way?"
"That's right, I just repaired another function of 'Tower of Fate • Revelation,' which is to precisely disrupt multiple magic arrays within its effective range without detecting, placing these formations in a non-operational, stagnant state!"
Fei'er's response immediately echoed: "Though this doesn't directly destroy them, it still allows us to achieve our expected result!"
"Then what are we waiting for? How should we proceed?"
Leo Ray's eyes brightened, and under Fei'er's guidance, began to interfere with the conversion magic arrays within the trunk.
The approach was quite simple: methodically tracing upwards from the trunk's bottom magic lines.
With a clear direction, although this was not easy, requiring tracing back through millions of complex and tangled magic lines like a ball of yarn, then locating each connected energy conversion magic array.
Yet, under Leo Ray's precise maneuvering, things proceeded smoothly.
The various large and small energy conversion magic arrays quickly ceased functioning, allowing the pure white energy, which originally circulated only in the trunk's lower half, to slowly cover every corner of the trunk, flowing to countless extending branches.
Once completed, Leo Ray emerged from the meditative state.
He rose slowly from the command chair, a faint smile appearing at the corners of his mouth.
"Then, let us close the curtain of war and destruction and witness the end of it all."
