Chapter 974: Peaceful?
In the vast Greenland, the seven figures looked around at this new universe in which a single planet occupied the entire universe, where just a simple race lived.
"This place is very beautiful..." Evelyn spoke, as her red hair fluttered in the wind.
"That's just outer beauty; internally, it is completely rotten," Jayden said, waving his hand as suddenly the scene in front of the seven changed.
The air was filled with the stench of corpses and blood; the entire grassland had disappeared, and the ground was covered by countless bones.
Death seemed to be lingering everywhere, flesh and blood covered a thick layer over everything; all of it had become exceedingly disgusting.
The stars in the eyes of the six women disappeared immediately. Luna almost vomited, but soon the world returned to normal, and it looked beautiful once again.
"Welcome to the Timeless Universe," Jayden smiled, looking at their speechless expressions.
"S-Should we really be staying in this place? Can't we go somewhere else for this trip?" Sara, the youngest and most beautiful in the group, asked, looking flustered.
"It is fine, the thing you saw belonged to yesterday. There is no problem with staying here. Just enjoy, this place is quite civilized; they are not far behind humans," Jayden said as he began to walk forward, and the six women followed.
While talking, they walked for a few minutes and soon saw large houses in the distance. Those houses seemed at least three to four times bigger than normal houses.
"Do giants live here?" Aurora asked. She had already forgotten about the earlier scene and was quite intrigued by this adventure.
"Hmm, kind of. They are indeed bigger when compared to humans, but they are quite amiable—well, most of them," Jayden spoke.
Luna hurried to walk beside him and asked, "Won't our presence interrupt the repetition here? What if we kill all the people here—will it finally return to normal?"
The other five women stared at this little devil in surprise. No one would believe that such dangerous words were spouted from such a cute little thing.
"Uhh no, we can change events of today, but the next day everything will become the same again, so there is no point in doing something like that. Anyway, I didn't bring you here to solve the problem or anything—just enjoy, and I will deal with all that stuff," Jayden said as he patted Luna's head.
While talking, the seven approached the distant houses, and finally, they saw the first person. He was dressed in clothes that were a mix of robes and modern wear, more like Chinese garments, and he looked at least twice the height of a human.
"They are huge…" Joey mumbled. Their physique was quite similar to humans except for the size and the position of their noses, which seemed slightly higher.
"It is fine." Jayden snapped his fingers, and their bodies became bigger; now everything seemed perfectly normal. Finally, that man seemed to have noticed them too.
He looked curiously from Jayden to the six women in surprise. Even though they appeared a little strange, all of them were very good-looking. The man was digging a hole outside his house. The hole was quite big, and as the surprise passed, he became flustered as the seven approached him.
"What is he doing? Wait, is that a…?!!" Chloe stopped on the other side of the hole along with the others and looked inside, her eyes widening in shock.
There was a corpse lying inside, and the death didn't seem to be natural. There were several deep wounds on the body from which brown blood was flowing. All six women turned their heads to look at Jayden with questioning looks.
Asking the same question without saying anything: Didn't you say that the people here are quite amiable? The person is out here trying to hide a corpse, and it seemed he was ready to bury them too to clean the evidence.
"Sigh... You know, this is a big place. Although most of these people are peace-loving, there ought to be a few who wouldn't follow the rules." Jayden shrugged. He looked at the man and said, "Continue with your work, we are just looking around."
Then they walked towards what seemed to be a city. The man holding a shovel-like thing finally came back to his senses as he roared and ran towards them. To hide his secret, he had to kill them.
"Sorry, you are just unlucky to have witnessed this. I will give you all proper burial places." The man spoke apologetically as he swung the shovel at Jayden.
Jayden shook his head. Since the same thing was going to happen again every day, he didn't bother doing anything. But there are a few things he couldn't tolerate, like someone trying to attack him or his women or family.
BOOOM
With just Jayden's gaze, the man flew into the air and exploded into tiny pieces. He only had a few moments to even feel fear before he was scattered across the land.
"Will he be back here again tomorrow?" Luna asked curiously. Not a single drop of blood or flesh came toward them.
"No, I erased him completely. The person he killed will die again, but just not from his hands. Anyway, let's go and look around the city. You all are free to do as you please." Jayden said. His expression changed, and he smiled at them.
Then they entered the city. This place felt quite similar to a human city, and even the market was familiar, but most of the things being sold were completely different. The six lady guardians had also learned the language of this universe through Jayden.
"Whoa, the jewels here look so beautiful—let's do some shopping." The eyes of all the women lit up. After seeing Jayden nod, they began to check different things out.
They purchased lots of things, even for others to bring back. Shopping in a different universe was indeed a very unique experience.
Jayden looked around at the shops. Although he already planned to give gifts to all the members of his family, he decided to buy a few more things here for Alice, Anna, Ciel, Sydney, and others.
After a few hours, they were finally done. Then for a few days, they booked an entire house for themselves. Not far away from the city was a beach, though it was almost empty for some reason. No one was going near it.
Jayden and the others decided to go and chill on the beach. The weather was just perfect. So right after booking the house, all of them went to the beach. There was absolutely no one around, and as Jayden approached, he understood why that was the case.
There were several dangerous creatures hiding in the water. These strange creatures were dangerous enough to even attack people who were standing quite some distance away from the water—so there wasn't anyone.
"Unpack everything, I will remove those annoying things." Jayden said, pulling out several chairs and other things out of nowhere. Then, leaving the group, he walked towards the water. He could already sense that several creatures had locked onto his position.
