Era of Players: Death God

Chapter 270: Lilith chasing after him

As Lilith stood amidst the remnants of the battle, the adrenaline that had surged through her veins began to subside, leaving her feeling the weight of exhaustion settle in. She surveyed the scene around her—the fallen wolves, their once-menacing forms now lifeless in the snow, and the crimson stains that marred the pristine landscape. Despite the victory, a deep hunger gnawed at her stomach, reminding her that she was still human.

Although her desire to chase after Noah burned within her, she knew the importance of rest and nourishment. She had fought hard, and her body deserved a reprieve. With a determined breath, she moved to a nearby clearing, where the trees provided some shelter from the biting wind. Once settled, she reached into her spatial ring to retrieve the necessary items for cooking.

First, she pulled out a sturdy pot, its surface slightly charred from previous use but still reliable. Next, she gathered her ingredients: dried meats, a selection of root vegetables, some herbs, and grains. She could already envision a hearty stew that would warm her body and replenish her energy.

Setting the pot over a small fire pit she had quickly constructed with stones and kindling, Lilith ignited the flame with a flick of her wrist, summoning a small burst of fire magic. The flames crackled to life, casting a warm glow that contrasted with the cold surroundings. She filled the pot with water from her item box, letting it heat up as she began to prepare her ingredients.

She took the dried meats—pieces of jerky she had acquired during her travels—and sliced them into smaller chunks. The aroma of the savory meat filled the air as she added them to the pot, the sound of sizzling quickly following. Next, she turned her attention to the root vegetables, peeling and chopping them with practiced efficiency. Carrots, potatoes, and a few onions went into the mix, their colors vibrant against the backdrop of the pot.

Lilith added a handful of herbs to the pot—thyme, rosemary, and a pinch of salt. These simple ingredients would elevate the flavors of her stew, creating a dish that was both nourishing and satisfying. As she stirred the mixture, she felt her stomach rumble in anticipation, the scent of the cooking food wafting toward her and stirring her appetite even more.

Once the stew had begun to bubble, Lilith took a moment to sit back, resting her weary body against a nearby tree. The warmth of the fire reached her, wrapping around her like a comforting embrace. She closed her eyes for a moment, allowing herself to relax and gather her thoughts.

The sounds of the forest surrounded her—the gentle rustling of the wind through the trees, the distant calls of wildlife, and the steady bubbling of her stew. It was a peaceful moment, one that reminded her of why she fought. She was not just chasing after Noah; she was striving to become stronger, to prove herself in a world that often underestimated her.

After a few minutes, the stew was ready. Lilith rose, her energy renewed, and ladled the fragrant mixture into a bowl she had fashioned from wood. The steam curled into the air, and she could hardly wait to taste her creation. She settled back down by the fire, cradling the bowl in her hands as she took her first bite.

The flavors exploded in her mouth—savory, hearty, and warm. The meat was tender, the vegetables perfectly cooked, and the herbs added a delightful depth. Each spoonful filled her with warmth, pushing away the chill that had settled in her bones. She savored every bite, allowing herself to indulge in the meal she had prepared with care.

As she ate, she reflected on her journey so far. Each floor she conquered, each battle she fought, was a testament to her growth. She had faced formidable foes and emerged victorious, proving time and again that she was not to be underestimated. But there was still more ahead—more challenges, more floors.

Once she finished her meal, Lilith took a moment to clean up her cooking area. She stored the pot and any leftover ingredients back in her spatial ring, ensuring everything was tidy before she moved on. The remnants of her meal fueled her determination; she was ready to continue her pursuit.

Feeling recharged and invigorated, she took a few minutes to stretch, easing the tension in her muscles after the intense battle and the subsequent cooking. She performed a series of stretches, focusing on her limbs and back, allowing her body to relax fully. The snow beneath her provided a soft surface, and she embraced the moment, breathing in the crisp air.

After her stretches, Lilith stood and surveyed her surroundings. The beauty of the snowy forest was undeniable, and she felt a sense of calm wash over her. The pale moonlight filtered through the branches, casting a gentle glow over the landscape. It was a moment of peace before the storm of challenges that lay ahead.

With her strength renewed and her hunger satisfied, she gathered her belongings. She took one last look at the clearing where she had rested, feeling a sense of gratitude for the reprieve it had provided. With a determined heart, she set off once more, ready to face the next floor and whatever awaited her on her journey.

As she moved through the forest, her senses heightened, attuned to the sounds and movements around her. She would not allow herself to falter. She was Lilith, someonewho went through a lots since the day she was born, and she would not rest until she caught up to Noah. The path ahead was unknown, however it was what makes the whole thing exciting.

As she moved forward she wondered how Ilya was doing, probably chasing after Noah, knowing she had teamed with Arthur, the latter considered Noah as both friend and rival would want to catch up to him.

''So we are lots chasing after him. My man sure popular.'' Lilith joked as moved to another floor.
