Enemies Are All Nourishment for My Fungi

Chapter 362: A Chaotic Battle Among the Former Nobles (3)

But returning home...

Ye Nai felt a bit reluctant, there were still many routes she hadn't traveled; the routes she had traversed were hers. To be able to teleport freely between the two planets in the future, she still had more to run.

Looking at the face in the mirror, Ye Nai felt that there wasn't such a rush to become human; being a beast outside was quite enjoyable.

After washing up, Ye Nai hurriedly ran to Beigen Military Fortress, extracted four waves of spores, and opened the transmission ports for those four Dukes to send the spores over.

Let the spores develop on their own first, and then she'll collect the spoils tomorrow.

Now it's truly finished. Ye Nai washed her hands, took out the meal she prepared earlier, served herself a large bowl, and then turned on the projector, connected to the movie disk, picked a film to watch while eating.

Slept happily for eight or nine hours, washed up and ate, then checked each prisoner camp, replenishing food and water where necessary, before heading off to do her own things.

One step back to the Royal Capital of Selsa Country on Blue Star, where it's still chaotic. As Ye Nai landed, she disappeared again, heading to the Wizard Institute outside the city.

Landing once more on the small square where the Transmission Platform used to be, the last time she visited it was clean, but now traces of blood were scattered on the ground.

It seemed a small-scale battle had occurred here.

Several corpses were piled in the base of the Transmission Platform.

Ye Nai glanced casually, without even clearly seeing the clothes, she ignored it and began sensing the spore map of the Wizard Institute, collecting items building by building.

The spores assisted her in collecting large items, such as the fallen wizards.

With the spores controlling the area, nobody in the Wizard Institute could remain standing. However, it's still true on Blue Star: the lack of energy caused the spores' growth and reproduction speed to slow down, greatly extending the time needed for the spores to envelop the entire area and establish a defense perimeter.

Because of this, Ye Nai found signs of battle and corpses throughout the Wizard Institute. The clothes on the bodies were very ordinary, not particularly exquisite.

She suspected the chaos from the Royal Capital had spread here, implying that the Wizard Institute isn't far from the Royal Capital.

However, this was just her guess because she arrived through the Transmission Platform, without knowing the actual distance between the two places.

And she didn't care about knowing; those specific details are matters for follow-up troops to handle.

After thoroughly clearing the Wizard Institute, Ye Nai rushed nonstop to the Duke Territories belonging to the four individuals with Lord status.

Those four places had nothing special, all were Duke's Main Cities, some lived in country castles, others in city mansions. Anyway, as soon as she exited the Transmission Port, the spores expanded immediately, sealing off the area and then spreading outward.

Ye Nai came directly to gather what was readily available, taking everything, including people and resources.

Then she returned to the East Ridge Secret Realm, putting the new captives into the Prisoner Camp where Dipul was located.

This batch of newcomers included men, women, young, and old. Ye Nai didn't ask if there was a Duke among them, as the people present would identify them for her.

After yesterday's bloody chaos, there was finally a bit of order today. Men, women, and children alike, as long as they could work were busy.

Ye Nai appeared suddenly by the water without startling them, but when a group of people appeared out of thin air, the surroundings were filled with gasps and exclamations.

"Oh my god, what's that?"

"Is it the native inhabitants!"

"Is it the ones who captured us?"

"Did they catch new captives again?"

"Move aside, move aside, I recognize her, let me through."

The crowd surged as Dipul and his wife supported each other and squeezed out.

"Great Witch," the Dipul couple greeted earnestly and properly, "Thank you for your help, you saved our lives."

"Good that you understand, don't cause any more trouble for me."

"We won't, our family will certainly behave."

Dipul's words were quite clear, he only assured that his family wouldn't cause trouble, not others. After all, the current situation had changed, his previous status as Crown Prince couldn't make people behave well as captives, or else yesterday's chaos wouldn't have happened.

"Alright, here's the deal: anyone who causes trouble will suffer. I don't require you to do anything, just eat, drink, sleep, and stay put every day. Eventually, someone specialized in receiving captives will take you away. What I need to do is ensure you don't die here. If you show any signs of weakness or illness, frankly speaking, I'm quite happy about it."

"Understood, Great Witch."

Dipul was the first to express his stance, leading the others to nod along with him.

"Good, come over here and identify the people, see if any of them is the family of those four Dukes? Is there a Duke among them?"

"I'll do it, I'll do it."

Dipul was very proactive, supporting his wife, eagerly walking over to recognize people before Ye Nai even nodded.

As they moved, others followed suit.

With their eager identification, the families of the four were quickly sorted out.

The four powerful Dukes themselves were present, along with their elderly wives, daughters, daughters-in-law, sons and daughters-in-law, the adults sons, some were present, and some were not.

Ye Nai took out paper and clipboard, asking Dipul to write down family details one by one, marking any missing members with a red pen, including daughters married off, in case they were among the captives in the future.

As Dipul hesitated to write, people eagerly reminded him, and the list was promptly completed. Ye Nai dropped a batch of new supplies before disappearing again.

She returned to Beigen Military Fortress in the Otherworld.

Remembering she had previously sent spores through several flamboyant Transmission Platforms, she wanted to know if those places were the territory of Alkinte Empire.

Now it was time to check.

Yesterday's conversation with Dipul reminded her of something.

She had taken so many Transmission Platforms from the Secret Realms within the country to establish a connection, facilitating her travels.

But from Dipul's words, the Transmission Platforms in the Secret Realms were all cross-dimensional two-way Platforms requiring special methods to activate. She used them only for entering and exiting the Secret Realms, truly wasting resources.

Now that she felt good and had time, why not go big?

In the spacious square of the Military Fortress, Ye Nai stood in the middle, opening Transmission Ports one after another around her.

Starting at a close height to the ground, circle after circle, spreading toward the walls, then stacking upwards.

Layer upon layer, until a tall building overlaid level with the city walls.

This wasn't yet finished because Ye Nai still had Transmission Platforms she intentionally left unswallowed by the Space Fungus.

Those were kept to determine what was on the other side of the Transmission Platforms.

Considering it now, why not swallow them all? To know where they lead, she can just open the Transmission Port and see.
