Chapter 359 Dialogue with the Former Crown Prince (4)
Dipul was startled by her expression at this moment, and he retreated several steps while guarding his ring.
Ye Nai stared at him intently for a few seconds. Just as Dipul was sweating profusely from being frightened by her terrifying gaze, he saw her smile.
"Alright, I won't take your stuff, but you have to tell me, where are the space items used for military transport kept? You can't possibly say you don't know this, right?"
"I know, it's placed right here."
"That makes it easier, which direction? Lead the way."
"It's quite far, walking there is too slow."
"You need a vehicle, right? Alright."
Ye Nai swiftly took out a four-wheel tractor and a big trailer.
She lowered one side of the railing.
"Get on and guide me."
Dipul had nothing to say this time. He obediently climbed onto the trailer and watched as Ye Nai fastened the railing again before walking to the cab, holding on steadily.
"Which direction?"
"Straight that way."
Dipul raised his right hand and pointed to the right.
"Keep an eye on the direction. If we veer off, tap on the roof of the cab. Tap left for left, right for right, and straight for straight."
"Alright, got it."
Ye Nai opened the door, climbed into the driver's seat, and shortly after, the vehicle jolted and started.
Dipul swayed with the inertia and saw the vehicle slowly turn, heading in the direction he had just pointed.
For the first time since he was born, he stood on a brand-new vehicle, completely different from the carriage he was used to. The new experience was so refreshing that he momentarily forgot he was a captive.
Ye Nai pressed the gas pedal and drove off at full speed, so far that the entry into the Fusion Zone of this Secret Realm disappeared on the horizon.
Only then did Dipul begin tapping on the roof to make the vehicle slowly turn left and continue straight.
In Ye Nai's eyes, this arid area had no plants that could serve as landmarks, and she didn't know how Dipul was guiding her. Anyway, she just drove on, and even if she was being secretly led astray, it wouldn't be her who dies in the end.
After driving for over two hours, by the time Ye Nai's buttocks were numb, the spores she had scattered along the way finally reported back, having found the warehouse.
The location was indeed in the direction she was heading.
Dipul hadn't tricked her.
Another half hour of driving, and Ye Nai finally saw a cluster of warehouse buildings appear on the horizon.
From a distance, she could tell that there were many warehouses, and up close, it was clear that each warehouse was large, like transshipment warehouses at logistics centers.
Ye Nai stopped the vehicle, lowered the railing to let Dipul down.
"Where are your space items kept?"
"Inside that warehouse."
Dipul cooperated very well; the journey had worn him out too, making his voice much weaker.
He knew his strength wasn't that weak; it was all because this frightening Great Witch had cast a restriction, similar to a large category in witchcraft called debuffs, where wizards cause various adverse conditions like fatigue, sluggishness, and continuous bleeding on the battlefield.
Even with other ideas, Dipul dared not now, for he feared provoking the Great Witch into truly getting angry, and he would instantly become a dried corpse.
Ye Nai left the vehicle where it was and walked towards the warehouse with Dipul.
"The gate still has such a big lock on it?"
"Uh..."
Dipul touched his nose, not disputing.
Ye Nai didn't mind either. She searched in her space items and found hydraulic pliers from the tools she had purchased, cutting through the lock's shackle with a snap.
Dipul's eyes almost popped out.
The lock shackle was as thick as his finger, and it was easily cut through with a big pair of pliers?!
Ye Nai glanced at Dipul and put the pliers back into space, not bothering to boast about Dahua Country's industrial capabilities.
She pushed the door open, revealing a warehouse filled with supplies, so large one couldn't see the other end. At the entrance, there was a little hut for the guard.
"The items are in this little hut," Dipul said weakly.
This small hut's door wasn't locked; Ye Nai pushed it open, first seeing two camp beds and then, against the walls, several drawer cabinets.
"When you delivered supplies, was there someone standing guard here?"
"Yes, they have to record entry into the database, count everything, and only then can they lock the gate and leave."
Ye Nai opened the drawers one by one and found a locked box, forced it open, and inside were six seemingly ordinary plain circle rings, but once in hand, they revealed a large space.
All six rings had similar storage capacity, which was indeed convenient for transporting supplies; just a few trips and it'd be done.
"The storage capacity of this ring is quite large. Is it unrestricted for the user's storage items?"
"Yes, because it's usable by anyone, it doesn't attract thieves, and the army uses this method for large-scale material transport."
"Then rings like yours filled with valuable items, could they be forcibly opened if stolen?"
"Where there's a lock, there's a key; it's unavoidable. So most of the time, they are made into items that are always carried around."
"Like a ring?"
"Right."
"Alright, thank you for your cooperation. I'll take everything here."
In the next moment, Dipul was returned to the East Ridge Secret Realm by Ye Nai and placed among his family.
While she drove for hours here, inside the East Ridge Secret Realm, the captives gradually woke up. After trying multiple times and realizing they couldn't escape the restricted area, they all sat on the ground dejectedly, not even touching the supplies nearby.
Dipul's sudden appearance startled everyone around him.
"Where have you been? Were you taken for questioning? Are you alright? Do you know who captured us?" The Crown Prince Consort immediately showed concern for her husband.
"It was the natives who captured us; they have attacked."
"...Ah?!" The Crown Prince Consort exclaimed briefly, "How did they suddenly become so powerful?"
"They have always been powerful." Dipul patted his wife's hand reassuringly, "Keep an eye on the children, I need to talk to Father and Mother."
"Alright, do go."
Dipul moved quietly to his parents' side.
The Old Queen remained with Dipul's eldest daughter, while the Old King was flanked by two mistresses, surrounded by their illegitimate children.
The Prince first greeted his mother, entrusting his eldest daughter to return to the Crown Prince Consort with her grandmother.
Then, he sat down in front of the Old King.
"What's the situation now? Do you know who captured us?"
"Yes, Father, it's the natives who have attacked the Royal Capital."
"I don't believe it; the natives are all newly born and raised under our education; they're not that powerful." The Old King snorted.
"Father, it's not the natives we control; it's that country which has been at war with us for decades and always remained unconquered," Dipul said seriously.
