Enemies Are All Nourishment for My Fungi

Chapter 354: The Royal Capital of Selsa Country on Blue Star (3)

Ye Nai thought that the soldier might be easier to coax into talking, and if he absolutely refused, then the interrogation could continue with the Guard Captain.

After a few minutes of hassle and intimidation, the soldier indeed confessed everything, and Ye Nai smoothly obtained the locations corresponding to the five Transmission Platforms.

One led directly to the Otherworld's old capital.

One led to the North City Camp outside the city.

One led to the Wizard Institute.

One led to the east border where the Second Prince was stationed.

The last one led to the Prince's territory; according to the soldier, the Prince and his family used to reside there until the King grew old, requiring the Prince to fulfill his inheritance responsibilities by residing in the Royal Palace, although in summer, when the weather was hot, the family would return to cool off.

The soldier, however, was unclear about any relation between this North City Camp and the logistics camp.

Ye Nai dismissed the soldier and decided to test it herself.

She opened the Transmission Port to the North City Camp directly.

After waiting for two minutes, there was no response from the other side.

Ye Nai got excited and immediately stepped through the Transmission Port.

As soon as she steadied herself, a new spore map appeared in her mind, sensing the spores that had already grown everywhere, having been delivered before.

"Hah, so this North City Camp is actually the logistics camp over here."

Ye Nai promptly ordered the camp to be emptied, collecting all the supplies and Transmission Platforms, releasing the officers but letting the soldiers go.

Back in the Royal Palace basement, she threw out all the palace managers she had collected in the Space, then went to the street, driving an off-road vehicle to the luxury district, clearing out one house after another.

The materials didn't need sorting; they were all brought into the Space.

The captured individuals were thrown onto the street, selecting the homeowners and leaving behind the servants.

Among the women and children captured, there were quite a few children under ten, and five infants in swaddling clothes.

Ye Nai did not spare the nursing mothers just because of these infants; when those Space Channels suddenly appeared all over Blue Star, countless enemies poured out, and the number of pregnant women and infants who died far surpassed those of today.

Expressionless, she collected them into the Space, brought out the Transmission Platform to the Wizard Institute outside the city, opened the Transmission Port, and dispatched spores from the inner city over there.

Just as the spores were being sent over, there was some movement at the Transmission Port, and a servant walked out.

But before he could take a full step, one foot was still on the other side, and he toppled flamboyantly onto the Transmission Platform.

Ye Nai quickly dragged him over, collecting him into the Space as she dashed into the Transmission Port.

In an instant, she stood in a small square with a style very similar to the Transmission Square of Wizard City, with four Transmission Platforms placed at the corners of the square.

By each Transmission Platform lay a servant.

Including the one Ye Nai had collected into the Space.

They were probably placed here specifically to manage transmissions.

With one missing, it looked odd, so Ye Nai threw out the servant she had just collected.

Then, she quickly returned to the Beigen Military Fortress, extracted a massive amount of spores via the East Ridge Secret Realm, and dispensed them into this Wizard Institute.

She then took off running to the grassland surrounding the square, kicked a small pit with her toe, threw in two Otherworld Heart Cores, and covered the pit.

This Wizard Institute only permitted official wizards to enter, and Blue Star provided insufficient energy for wizards. They could only rely on external energy supplies for research, and during her brief stay here, Ye Nai could feel energy flowing from all directions.

She was betting on the chance that the wizards, accustomed to such an environment with energy flowing everywhere, wouldn't detect the two Mutant Beast Heart Cores buried under the grass near the Transmission Square in the short term.

After burying the Heart Cores, Ye Nai quickly withdrew, retracing her steps to the previous place, as she had come in a hurry and hadn't collected that Transmission Platform yet.

After collecting the Transmission Platform, Ye Nai drove the off-road vehicle towards the nearest Inner City Gate, seeing along the way large horse-drawn carts delivering goods, but both the people and horses were sound asleep, with some goods left on the carts and others scattered on the ground.

When the Inner City Gate appeared in sight, Ye Nai stopped the car.

It was already a chaos here.

Many plainly dressed civilians from the outer city were going in and out of houses near the Inner City Gate, carrying more or less with them.

Ye Nai saw someone carrying a large vase, and two people dashed over to snatch it, ending with a crash, the vase breaking with a big hole.

The people snatching the vase quickly dispersed, giving up on it.

The civilians with red eyes, driven by greed, noticed the strange vehicle parked on the street.

"Look! What is that?!"

"Must be something good, let's grab it!"

At those words, the surrounding civilians swarmed in.

Sitting in the car, Ye Nai decisively reversed the car.

They ran fast, but she reversed even faster.

While reversing, she quietly opened the Space, scattering Butterfly Mines on the road.

The Butterfly Mines she brought were designed specifically for these Otherworldly beings, large, potent, with enough explosive to blow off a foot at the slightest step.

Literally taking off a foot, causing limb detachment, designed to injure rather than kill, rendering them immobile, increasing pressure on their logistics for rescue, medical care, and recovery.

The civilians frantically chasing the vehicle unsurprisingly stepped on the mines one after another.

Bang! Bang! Bang! The sound of explosions echoed endlessly.

Limbs flew, cries of agony arose one after another.

Ye Nai witnessed a severed foot fly past the car window with her own eyes.

After countless fell, the civilians who had acted rashly for the loot finally started to calm down, standing in place, watching the equally stationary vehicle from afar.

Ye Nai honked the horn, its long blare awakening the dazed civilians like a clap of thunder.

"Run! That's the enemy!"

"The enemy has attacked!"

"We're doomed! We're doomed!"

"The enemy is inside the Royal Capital!"

The remaining civilians turned and dashed towards the Inner City Gate, wishing they had four legs, while the wounded on the ground were terrified, no longer crying and moaning, scrambling to crawl away.

Ye Nai retrieved the unexploded mines, shifted to drive, and accelerated away.

Fortunately, she was now not far from the Inner City Gate, and she followed the civilians out onto the main street of the outer city.

Originally, many hesitant civilians on the street were considering going into the inner city to loot some goods, but were startled by the people rushing out and then shocked a second time by the strange vehicle coming through.

"Run away! The enemy has come!"

"It's him! It's him! He's the enemy!"

"The enemy has broken into the Royal Capital!"

"What do you mean, just some strange-looking vehicle?"

"That vehicle drove out from the inner city."

"So many are injured inside, feet flying everywhere!"

"Really? Let's go see!"

"Why would you want to watch instead of escaping for your life?!"

"Fool, didn't you see nobody chased out from the inner city? The attacking enemy must have wiped out the inner city, if we don't pick up some stuff, what will we eat on the escape?"

"You're right! You're right! You're so smart!"
