Chapter 342: Raiding the South City Camp and the Logistics Camp (2)
Ye Nai woke the Marquis and asked if he wanted bullets or gold coins, the Marquis was tough and chose death over submission.
Ye Nai certainly didn't indulge him; she took him into the Space, then found an older officer who revealed the Marquis' assistant.
The assistant clearly wasn't as tough as the Marquis he served, and after some bargaining, he took ten gold coins and led Ye Nai to the office, where he opened the file cabinet and pulled out a stack of sorted archival documents.
However, when selecting documents, the man played a trick, mixing in some expired files and swapping out the truly important ones.
Fortunately, Ye Nai could read the text and caught the deception on the spot, immediately making him experience a ten-minute pain session.
As the pain began, the man collapsed on the ground, wetting and soiling himself, just his mouth gaping, in too much pain to speak.
Ye Nai didn't care about his life or death, and started checking the archived files herself, smoothly finding the list of Transmission Platforms, and put the rest back into the file cabinet, then took the entire cabinet into the Space's Fungus compartment.
Last, she didn't spare the desks and bookshelves either; she took any movable furniture and put them into another Fungus compartment, and emptied the immovable furniture, leaving not a single piece of paper.
The places she plundered, saving the valuables for herself, she kept all the letters and documents to sort out after the war, potentially uncovering some items worthy of museum display.
After clearing the office, Ye Nai, disdaining the filthy assistant, didn't take him and left him lying there as she walked away.
Back in the cafeteria, she took the officer upstairs into the Space, but didn't bother with the soldiers; she no longer had any interest in them.
Next, it was time for the joyful task of plundering the entire camp's valuables, both public and private.
In the Space, items poured in; besides tons of daily and military supplies, gold coins and Heart Cores were packed into large boxes, box after box, which was truly exhilarating.
The furniture and files from the other offices were also neatly placed in the Space.
While spores collected items for her, Ye Nai was busy too. She returned to the large playground where the Transmission Platforms were located, matched them against the list in her hands, labeled them, and collected them all.
Among them was indeed a Transmission Platform that went directly to the Selsa's Logistics Camp on Blue Star.
Ye Nai was almost impulsively ready to activate the Transmission Platform and slaughter everyone there.
Fortunately, she stopped herself in time.
Compared to dealing with the Selsa United Kingdom on Blue Star, she was more interested in heading to Yunding Continent and the cities of wizards there.
Her plan was to cut off the wizards' support for the invading army, sever their retreat.
But the idea of storming Wizard City alone, especially where Witch Saints from various countries were permanently stationed, made even the normally bold Ye Nai feel a tinge of apprehension.
She was well aware that just because people courteously called her a Great Witch didn't mean she actually possessed the power of one.
But the Witch Saints in Wizard City were definitely Witch Saints.
Wizards were divided into five ranks; not mentioning the lower two, those in the top three tiers each had their unique tricks. Ye Nai didn't dare bet that her handy spore ambush would be effective; she didn't want to be blasted on the spot by the wizards upon setting foot in Wizard City.
So, she decided to first head to Yunding Continent and seize the Transmission Platforms set up by various forces there.
Having snapped back to reality and confirmed she'd thoroughly collected the logistics camp's assets, Ye Nai took off the sports camera, pulled out the Transmission Platform to Yunding Continent, and used the same tactic, opening a Transmission Port to send a massive amount of spores through first.
Afterward, she stowed the Transmission Platform, gathered a large number of spores bred in the camp, and took them back to the East Ridge Secret Realm.
Having slept a long night in the Otherworld and done so much work, she had been busy for several hours, but only a few minutes had passed in the East Ridge Secret Realm; the captives were still sleeping.
Ye Nai returned to that area by the river, moving the sleeping family of Duke Akeley next to the Baron's house.
Then she returned to Blue Star, standing outside the military fortress she had been tracking for several hours.
This should be called the Selsa United Kingdom's invasion force's military fortress.
To speak or not to speak, it didn't matter whether these few military fortresses she had tracked all the way here were initially built by the Selsa United Kingdom or if they were seized from other countries. If they dared to confront Dahua Country, then this country's strength seemed quite decent.
Earlier, Ye Nai had placed a Heart Core here to supply the spores for growth. Now returning, although only a short time had passed on Blue Star, the spores' growth was not bad.
She opened the entrance to the East Ridge Secret Realm and added half of the spores she had just brought back from the Otherworld.
The sudden increase in the number of spores, once in their places, finally formed a spore map covering the entire military fortress.
No need for idle talk, first knock out everyone.
It was evening on Blue Star, and inside the fortress, all the places suitable for cooking were busy preparing dinner when suddenly, everyone fell to the ground as if they had been paused, crashing down all at once.
No one was attending the burning stoves, posing a constant risk of fire.
After entering the city using Space Teleportation, Ye Nai received feedback from the spores, quickly extinguishing fires everywhere before searching for the fortress's Supreme Commander.
She wanted to know many pieces of information.
Shi Lin had instructed her to look for petroleum resources.
She herself wanted to know the distribution of the Selsa United Kingdom in this region, especially how many Secret Realms within the country they had occupied.
After running this errand, she couldn't believe that so many Secret Realms within their country belonged to just one nation; surely, several countries from the Otherworld owned them, and numerous nations used their respective Secret Realm passages to arrive on the same land, eliminating the natives before they fought each other over territorial expansion.
If the invasion had succeeded back then, Dahua Country would have been fragmented.
Fortunately, after many hardships, they finally drove the invasion force back to the Secret Realm, chased them down there, and forced them to hide the Transmission Platform and retreat from the Secret Realm, creating a standoff along the national borders, giving Dahua Country a decade or two to rebuild after the war.
Any future wars would be confined to the Secret Realm; they absolutely couldn't be allowed on national territory.
Ye Nai, tapping her fingers, pondered over and over, feeling that she could feel secure only once she had leveled Wizard City.
Having eliminated the wizards, there wasn't much to fear from the military forces of various countries. No matter how tough their skins or flesh, they were still mortal bodies; a few more barrages would always do the job.
Following her experience, she searched in the highest rooms of the fortress, but seeing no one resembling a commander and running out of patience, Ye Nai immediately grabbed someone dressed like a soldier in the street, woke him, and interrogated him.
Unexpectedly, the soldier's willpower was incredibly strong. Faced with the choice between money or life, he chose neither and, even after experiencing ten minutes of intense pain, he remained stoically silent. It wasn't known whether he was informed but refused to speak or genuinely didn't know, but he remained silent, his eyes red with pain, glaring at Ye Nai as if memorizing her face, his expression vowing revenge.
Ye Nai gave a thumbs-up to his resilient willpower, then ordered the spores around her to dissolve him.
