Enemies Are All Nourishment for My Fungi

Chapter 317: Discovering Associates from Blue Star

All the wizards were covered in tattoos, and the male wizards were basically bald, their entire heads tattooed as well.

The female wizards, on the other hand, had full heads of hair, and it was not clear whether they had tattoos on their scalps.

Their clothes were quite nice, well-fitted with exquisite embroidery, clearly indicating they were figures of high social standing.

Counting just the number of wizards, there were only over thirty people, not even as many as the number of servants.

She selected seven older individuals with better quality clothing, three men and four women, and using quick measures, she woke them up to ask questions.

"Wake up, hey, I have something to ask you, where are my companions?"

The awakened men and women, some of them widened their eyes just observing without speaking, some of them had fiery tempers and cursed as soon as they opened their mouths.

Ye Nai silenced those who were cursing directly and then turned to ask the others who remained silent. But even after asking twice, no one responded to her, some even closed their eyes pretending to sleep.

"It's not fun when you're so stubborn; you must understand that my presence here suggests that the Duke next door has been raided."

"Just cooperate a bit and tell me, where did my companions go?"

"You are wizards, teachers here with identities more valuable than the nobles, but that doesn't mean I can't torture you."

Ye Nai, already short on patience, woke up all the other unconscious wizards, silenced them, and subjected everyone to ten minutes of intense pain.

She let them acutely feel the severe pain from head to toe, unable to scream out.

Ye Nai observed unblinkingly, not believing the wizards could be brought down by such pain; indeed, she caught them trying to quietly manipulate their internal energy to alleviate the pain.

She expressionlessly released more spores into their bodies, following the route of energy circulation within their meridians, abruptly blocking the meridians completely.

With the energy pathway blocked, it backfired immediately, intensifying the pain, and some of them even spat out blood.

Others, overwhelmed by the backlash, were in so much pain that they urinated involuntarily, wetting the ground beneath them.

Because everyone tried small tricks, each of them suffered a blow.

Being teachers at the Wizard Academy, they all had to be Advanced Wizards; yet, at this very moment under Ye Nai's control, they were just a heap of malleable rotten flesh, utterly devoid of resistance.

Moreover, with her action, she had identified the two strongest among the seven she singled out, one man and one woman.

Ten minutes later, the pain ceased. Ye Nai left the others to gasp in silence, showered only the two strongest with spores to ease their physical pain, inducing a state of blissful delirium in them.

When she heard involuntary moans of comfort from them, she knew the time was ripe.

"The two of you are the strongest wizards here, tell me, what are your identities?"

"No, I won't tell you," the old witch clenched her teeth and decisively refused to cooperate, "You might as well kill me."

"No, no, no, you are powerful wizards, I won't kill you. If I were to kill you, it would only be after I had my fill of fun, then I'd trade you for a bounty with my country."

Hearing this, all the wizards glared with wide-open eyes.

"We are Advanced Wizards, you cannot humiliate us like this! Wizards will never be humiliated!"

"Don't get excited. Wizards will never be humiliated, unless it comes with room and board—I get it, I get it, there's definitely rom and board involved."

Ye Nai nodded earnestly, the two male and female wizards on the ground infuriated.

The others were equally enraged. At the heat of the moment, everything else was forgotten, and immediately someone attempted to teach her a lesson, unconsciously channelling their power.

Then, one by one, they began to scream in agony.

Their meridians, previously blocked by the spores, were still blocked, not released at all.

How could Ye Nai possibly let them regain free-flowing meridians—that would only cause trouble for herself.

"Are you wizards determined not to cooperate with my questioning?"

"Over my dead body!" cried the old Wizard, his face red, his neck bulging as he shouted.

Ye Nai shook her head reluctantly, ready to wrap things up, now was not the time to drag on interrogating them.

Just as she was about to make her move, she suddenly saw a blast of explosive light on the mountains outside the school, followed by the sound of an explosion.

This explosion made the wizards' faces morph again.

The others were eager to speak, but their mouths couldn't open.

The two older ones who could talk showed expressions of anger and hatred, and they desperately wanted to get up and take a look.

"It's them, they have come back!"

"Damn, how did such a loud explosion not stop them?!"

Ye Nai instantly withdrew her hand, not rushing to gather them into Space. Instead, she took out a telescope and lay prone on the rooftop parapet to observe carefully.

Through the lens, two military SUVs, highly familiar, burst out of the mountains one after another.

The sunroof of the following vehicle was open, and someone protruded their body, shouldering a rocket launcher and firing another shot toward the rear.

A flash of fire followed by a loud boom drove the enemies chasing from the mountains back.

But the hit was a hit, the pursuers were not ordinary soldiers but wizards, and a blast of Earth Element witchcraft blocked the explosion. Besides the dirt filling the air, not a hair on the enemies was hurt.

The two SUVs sped towards the Academy.

Ye Nai put away the telescope, took two steps back, and in front of these lucid wizards, she released a standard shipping container, swung open the doors to reveal the arsenal inside.

Under their shocked gazes, she hoisted a man-portable rocket launcher with an effective range of 2 kilometers.

Specially designed for combating Otherworld enemies and herds of mutant beasts.

With a total weight of over 30 kilograms, reliant on vehicles or Space Users for transport and typically operated by Earth Element Warriors whose sturdy platforms allowed for stable launching. However, its long range alone was enough of an advantage.

Why was it given to Ye Nai? Because she could carry it, stand firm, and withstand the recoil.

As she busied herself, the two SUVs had also drawn closer.

Aim.

Launch.

The shell roared through the sky and fiercely hit the pursuing wizards behind, breaking their defensive witchcraft, blasting them all into the air.

The two fleeing SUVs also noticed something off about the Academy ahead.

"Look fast! The national flag!" the lead vehicle's driver shouted.

The rear vehicle shouted as well, "Look, there's a national flag!"

No sooner had they finished shouting than the shell flew over their heads, flipping the pursuers behind them upside down.

"Oh my dear mother—"

"Oh my goodness—"

"What the—"

"Really—"

"Is there a big troop coming?"

"Hurry, hurry!"

"Did you see where the shell came from?"

"By the flag!"

"Seems like only one person!"

"One person? This badass?"

"An intruder?"

"Stop the chatter, let's get to safety first!"

"The gate is closed!"

"Burst it open!"

Just as the two military SUVs charged towards the tightly shut iron gates of the Academy, Ye Nai switched to a smaller rocket launcher and fired at the gate.
