After swiftly dealing with Solar Monarch, the mother darkloop beast didn’t leave and swam in a circle around the peak.

“Go, for you.” Li Qiye picked up the corpse of the golden dragon and threw it to the whale-like beast.

It happily cried out before holding the corpse in its mouth, disappearing into space.

“Sigh, I’m still not full but my meal got stolen, how pitiful.” Black Witch Monarch complained.

“I’m full.” Li Qiye patted his hands and stretched, wanting to leave.

“Okay, okay.” The monarch sighed: “Looks like I got nothing out of this trip, what a shame.”

“Nothing? You got four disciples. Better train them well.” Li Qiye said.

“...” The monarch became speechless momentarily. He then turned and left while shouting: “Another day, Young Noble, let me be free for a bit.”

Li Qiye chuckled and gazed into Star Ocean, noting all the beasts here. During his visual sweep, the creatures trembled and held their breath.

One looked like a mountain of black metal, able to swallow countless stars. Another soared in the air, easily mistaken for a planet due to its earth-like exterior.

Alas, all of them had accurate instincts and sensed who was the real king here. They had sensed his power before - the immortal level.

They couldn’t forget Desolate Ancestor - the warden who forced them here and her power. However, this man seemed more frightening in comparison.

Li Qiye didn’t do anything else after the scan and left Star Ocean. They heaved a sigh of relief, not wanting to have someone loom over them.

Li Qiye returned to Desolate Frontier and landed in Ancestral Domain. He glanced at the mountain range before settling on one of the main peaks.

It had a lake with a pavilion nearby. Li Qiye entered one room and saw a girl resting on a bed made of exquisite jade.

She was none other than Wisdom Ancestor who recognized Li Qiye.

Li Qiye took a good look at her before assessing the area. There was a sealed momentum here, channeling the power of Desolate Frontier for nourishment.

“Not easy to start over.” Li Qiye smiled.

She was deep asleep and couldn’t hear him.

However, her protector was shocked and roared: “Who?!”

This protector was always in a state of alert despite seemingly meditating. She could sense any intruder the moment they set foot on the peak. Alas, not this man.

Only when Li Qiye spoke did she realize his presence.

“Boom!” Her imperial aura exploded as she summoned her avatar - a supreme emperor capable of crushing anything within her palm.

“Ancestor!” She immediately prostrated.

“We’ve never met.” Li Qiye frowned slightly.

“Yes, Ancestor, but Master often talked about you.” She said.

“Desolate Ancestor?” Li Qiye said.

“Yes, Ancestor.” She replied with utmost reverence.

She thought this was a dream, having the fortune to meet a mythical figure whom her master referred to as a true immortal.

“Rise, what is your name?” Li Qiye sat on the bed.

“I am Driedtree.” She responded. [1]

“You are not a member of Desolate Frontier.” Li Qiye took a closer look.

“Yes, Ancestor. I am from Stoneclearing School.” She said.

“I see.” Li Qiye recalled the past and sure enough, there was a lineage with this name long ago.

“We declined after Ancestor Lin’s era but I was fortunate to receive help.” She said.

Stoneclearing School went from a dao system to a minor sect by her era. However, she was taken in as a maid by Desolate Ancestor - a true fortune.

Thus, she became an apex emperor. Being Desolate Ancestor’s maid was prestigious, not shameful.

When Desolate Ancestor left Old World, she relieved Driedtree of her duty. The latter returned to Stoneclearing School and acted as its supreme ancestor. The sect rose to prominence once more.

Nevertheless, she never forgot the kindness bestowed upon her so she joined Desolate Frontier, turning Stoneclearing School into a tributary.

“You are in charge of her protection?” Li Qiye asked.

“Yes, Ancestor. Master wanted me to keep Wisdom Ancestor company. Her usual abode is back in my sect but in recent days, she chose to stay here in Desolate Frontier.” She said.

A large reason why Desolate Ancestor didn’t take her along was to keep someone trusted with Wisdom Ancestor.
