Chapter 1: Prologue:
Hello, everyone! The author here.
So, recently I came across a fanfic where Itachi was placed in the world of Jujutsu Kaisen, and I liked it. Naturally, that got my creative gears turning, and before I knew it, an idea had completely taken over my brain: what if a 13-year-old Itachi, after experiencing a different outcome to the Uchiha massacre, met his end and found himself in the world of Douluo Dalu (aka Soul Land or Combat Continent)?
The idea wouldn't leave me alone until I sat down and started writing. So, here we are! I don't plan for this story to be anything too serious—it's more of a way to clear my head. Unless, of course, for some crazy reason, there's a lot of interest in it (though I doubt it, since Soul Land isn't everyone's cup of tea).
Now, let's get a few things straight: this will be a kind of AU version of Soul Land. For one, I've decided that martial souls will only awaken at age 9, not 6. Why? Well, I never liked the idea of six-year-olds being sent off to become martial masters. Plus, let's be honest, no one behaves like a realistic 6 or 12 year old in these stories. So, I thought, "Why not flip the number? 6 becomes 9!" Genius, right? Don't hate me for it, okay?
I've always found it weird when young kids in stories act like they're teenagers or even adults, so I tweaked the setting to better fit my personal taste. Also, even though I didn't love everything about Soul Land, I still binged the entire anime anyway. I'm the type who complains about the details but keeps watching because I secretly enjoy it. Humans, huh? We're a funny bunch…
Oh, and one more thing: all the canon characters in this world will also be aged up by three years(you know 6 to 9.. and others too)... In the case of soul beasts transforming into humans, they'll start at age 9 as well, since that's when humans in this AU awaken their martial souls.
So, with all that explained, if you're still interested in this story, I invite you to dive in and enjoy the ride!

Prologue:
…..
-Elemental Nations
It all began in the Shinobi World, also known by some people as Naruto's world.
Oh, but this is not the story everyone knows.
No, this was a parallel world, similar in essence but with drastically different realities. And one of those differences completely altered the fate of the village and the Uchiha Clan.
The massacre of the Uchiha Clan, a tragedy that marked the history of Konoha, had a very different outcome here.
Danzo Shimura, as always, had manipulated the shadows of the village. He issued a direct order: Itachi Uchiha was to exterminate his own clan. According to him, it was a necessary sacrifice to prevent a coup that would endanger Konoha. In Danzo's mind, the Uchiha Clan was the root of the problem.
Danzo Shimura ordered 13-year-old Itachi Uchiha to kill his clan to prevent the coup that Danzo himself believed would destroy the village and its foundations.
But things didn't go as Danzo expected.
At just 13 years old, Itachi already understood the world better than most adults. He knew that Konoha was sick, but his method of healing its wounds was far different from Danzo's.
He didn't follow the order to the letter. He couldn't.
Itachi carried out a brutal act, but it was not without purpose. He eliminated the leaders who were plotting the coup and those clan members who had decided to follow them, including his own parents…
However, he spared the innocent—men, women, children… anyone who had nothing to do with the coup lived, including his younger brother and his childhood best friend, Izumi Uchiha.
And with this alone, Itachi knew he had fulfilled his role in Konoha.
He had made a decision, one that would seal his fate. But Itachi knew he couldn't stop there—not while Danzo Shimura was alive.
That man, with his twisted vision of the village, was as dangerous as the traitors in the Uchiha Clan. If Danzo remained alive, Konoha would never be safe, and the surviving Uchiha would be hunted to the ends of the earth.
So, Itachi killed Danzo as well.
Of course, taking down Danzo wasn't easy, not even for a prodigy like him. The battle was fierce. Danzo didn't fight alone; Itachi had to face the operatives of Root, shinobis trained to protect their leader to the death.
Killing all the Uchiha leaders and then Danzo, along with all his loyal Root followers, was no simple feat, even for someone like Itachi.
But in the end, Itachi prevailed, though he was gravely wounded after the repeated battles.
Still, he had eliminated the immediate and future threats to the village.
Yes, he had done it all for the village—for Konoha…
But he knew the story would never say that.
Itachi understood that his actions would never be seen as heroic. No, the village needed a villain—a monster to point their fingers at.
And he decided to be that monster.
He became the example that would frighten the disobedient, the name leaders would use from then on to warn others. It was a necessary sacrifice. If bearing the blame secured the village's peace and unity, then he would accept it with honor.
The story that would be told was that he, Itachi Uchiha, was a rogue ninja—a murderer who coldly killed many members of the Uchiha Clan, including his own parents, as well as Danzo and his people.
He was just a tool, a villain in the eyes of the world.
But he would die peacefully, knowing he was the villain who brought…
Peace and unity.
He could already see a more promising future for Konoha and all its people. Even those who despised the Uchiha would feel empathy for them after learning that the eldest son of the clan's patriarch had killed most of the leaders and young warriors of the clan.
Aware of his imminent death, Itachi performed one final act of love. Before disappearing, he removed his eyes and carefully preserved them. They were for his younger brother, Sasuke.
He knew his little brother would need that power in the future more than he would in death…
No, Itachi wouldn't die merely because of his wounds. If he truly wanted, he could survive to see another dawn.
But that wasn't his destiny.
He knew it.
His death would bring peace and unity to Konoha.
And it would grant him freedom.
He had fulfilled his mission and could now rest.
…
Wounded, with his mission complete, Itachi left Konoha. His body barely responded, as he hadn't bothered to treat his many injuries. His steps led him to a cliff where he knew he would find the end he so desired—a well-earned rest…
Death. His freedom.
He would finally accompany his parents in death, although he doubted that himself and his parents would go to the same place after his actions against his clan... his family...
With a calmness that would have disturbed anyone, Itachi looked into the abyss. He thought of Shisui, how his best friend had chosen a similar fate.
"We are shadows," he murmured. Without a trace of fear on his face, he leapt into the void, leaving behind everything he had once loved and protected.
Itachi was ready to embrace his destiny.
As he fell, a gentle smile graced his lips. Even in his final moments, Itachi found peace. He had fulfilled his purpose. And though his name would be hated, he knew his efforts were not in vain.
He had done his part and was finally free.
And so, Itachi Uchiha, at just 13 years old, died.
But his destiny did not end there. His sacrifice would change not just the history of Konoha and the Uchiha Clan but the entire Shinobi World.
And in a distant land, in a completely new and different world… a new chapter was about to begin.
