DxD: THE LEGENDARY TRAVELER WITH SYSTEM

The sound of war became increasingly evident as they approached.

Zaydas advanced with Rurushi riding along. Beside them, Asia rode on Luna along with Tia.

Right behind, the elves followed, mounted on Infernal Direwolves: Ruby with Ria, Bella with Riri and Rita, Ivy with Risu and Rifu, and Hades with Rikoto and Rize.

Meanwhile, Shion, Souei, Benimaru, and Hakurou rode on Direwolves from Ranga's Clan.

"Something is happening just ahead!" exclaimed Souei before leaping off the Direwolf and dashing toward the possible danger.

Souei arrived at the location where he had heard the sound of battle. Upon arrival, he saw a Lizardman being attacked by Orcs while holding their ground atop a tree. He quickly communicated with Zaydas.

'Zaydas-sama, I found a group of Orcs. They are attacking a Lizardman. How should I proceed?' he asked through the telepathic network.

'Do whatever you want. If you wish, simply kill those Orcs,' Zaydas replied.

'Understood!' With that, he leaped from the tree.

Immediately, silk threads shot from Souei's fingers toward the Orcs.

"What?" The Orcs were caught off guard.

Within moments, more than ten Orcs were trapped by threads they couldn't break. Souei then drew his sword from his waist and moved at the speed of sound.

"Boom!"

The impact of his speed caused a reaction. When he reappeared on the other side, Orc heads flew into the sky while blood gushed uncontrollably from the headless necks, unable to fall due to the threads.

The Lizardman who witnessed this scene was left slack-jawed. It was understandable—the scene they had just experienced was ridiculous.

After all, the strength of these Orcs was not normal. Otherwise, they wouldn't have been in trouble.

"T-Thank you!" the Lizardman said after snapping out of their shock, bowing toward him.

"It's not over yet." Saying this, Souei moved and began cutting down all the remaining Orcs.

When Zaydas, Rimuru, and the rest arrived, the battle had already ended.

"Nothing left?"

Benimaru grumbled, "Tsk, he should have left some for us..."

The way he said it almost sounded like they had ordered a pizza, and Souei ate it all by himself...

Zaydas jumped off Shadow and used [Shadow Predator], devouring some of the corpses.

'Huh? Why did it evolve?' He pondered for just a moment before finding the answer—[Healthy Body] and the fact that he was both a Devil and a Homo Magi.

After using [Shadow Predator] on 20 Orc corpses, he stopped. Despite the slight increase in magicules, which was a positive thing, there were no other improvements.

Turning around, he smiled slightly and said, "Rurushi, Tia, it's your turn now."

"Leave it to me." Saying this, Rurushi approached one of the Orc corpses.

"Don't leave me behind!" Tia did the same, stepping toward another corpse.

Still mounted on Luna, Asia approached and asked Zaydas, "What are Rurushi-san and Tia-san going to do?"

Smiling mysteriously, he replied, "Just wait and see~"

"Understood." She nodded and turned to watch Tia and Rurushi.

Rurushi successfully extracted a blood soldier that retained the appearance of an Orc.

'Not bad, a Rank B.'

Tia, seeing this, became serious after failing on her first attempt and tried again. When she finally succeeded, she stomped the ground in frustration: "I won't lose!"

The reason for her frustration was that the Radiant Soldier was just a generic Rank C+ soldier.

"My God, what kind of abilities are these?" Rimuru, standing beside them, was completely surprised.

"Cool, right?" Zaydas looked at him. "They alone are a one-person army."

"Fumu, fumu. So, if they are capable of turning fallen enemies into soldiers that fight for them... This is insane!" Rimuru exclaimed.

Two minutes later, they finished extracting their soldiers.

Rurushi looked smugly at Tia. She had obtained four soldiers that retained their strength from when they were Orcs, while Tia had only managed three.

"What? You wanna fight?" Tia asked, summoning all nine of her common Radiant Soldiers plus two special ones.

"Evil Centipede and Carapace Lizard," Hakurou automatically identified the monsters.

Rurushi summoned the same special ones along with nine common Blood Soldiers.

Their auras flared as their battle power rapidly surged to Rank A.

"Zaydas-san, aren't you going to do anything?" Rimuru asked.

Smiling slightly while shaking his head, Zaydas spoke loudly, "Okay, that's enough. Let's move on."

"Yes..."

Reluctantly, Rurushi and Tia retracted their auras, causing their soldiers to step back.

Tia withdrew her Radiant Soldiers into the [Light Preservation] domain, a luminous sphere that, upon touching the ground, transformed into a milky lake.

Meanwhile, Rurushi activated [Blood Preservation], throwing a sphere of blood onto the ground, which expanded into a pool, allowing her soldiers to submerge themselves in it.

Almost simultaneously, they picked up their spheres, which merged into their bodies, then turned their faces away while saying, "Humph!"

"Are they okay?" Rimuru asked.

"Yes," Zaydas replied with a smile, recalling a recent scene. "They're like this, but only when they're competing with each other."

After Rurushi and Tia had dueled and Rurushi emerged victorious, although she boasted at first, she later treated Tia kindly and even started doing things to lift her mood.

They continued onward, stopping again when they heard a noise coming from the bushes.

But then, what jumped out in front of them was a White Slime.

"A Slime?"

"Hey, you bastards, why are you looking at me like that?" Rimuru felt offended by their gazes. It was as if they were insinuating something strange.

"A Slime, huh..." Zaydas touched his chin, and soon a smile appeared. Then, he used [Shadow Predator], making his shadow creep along the ground toward the defenseless White Slime. The shadow then rose from the ground and swallowed it into the darkness.

"Hey, hey, Zaydas-kun, why the hell did you do that?" Rimuru was the first to react.

The others seemed to share the same expression—after all, a Slime was considered a harmless, lowest-rank monster.

"Hahahaha!" On the other hand, Zaydas didn't respond but instead laughed loudly. That was because two notifications appeared before his eyes.

"What is this?" Shion placed her left hand between the gap of her enormous breasts, murmuring, "What is this uncontrollable feeling I have of wanting to grab Zaydas-sama in my arms and hug him tightly?"

"You too, Shion-san?" Asia said. "I understand you, I'm having the same feeling~!"

"You understand me, Asia?" Shion looked at her with appreciation.

Zaydas' danger alert started ringing. He returned to his human form, fully clothed, and frowned as the sensation of danger disappeared.

Farther ahead, they found Souei and, beside him, a wounded Lizardman.

"Zaydas-sama, you have arrived." He approached reverently before him.

"Mm." He shifted his gaze to the Lizardman. "She is..."

"The daughter of the Lizardman Chief... Or more precisely, the former chief. Currently, her brother, who received the name Gabil, has imprisoned the current chief and led many Goblins and Lizardmen to go against the Orcs," he explained.

"Please, save my father!" The female Lizardman knelt before him, pleading for help.

After thinking for a moment, Zaydas said, "Souei, can you handle this?"

"Your command is my order!" Souei said, kneeling on one knee.

"Okay then, do it quickly and join us afterward," Zaydas commanded.

"Yes!"

Although he didn't care about Gabil, this Lizardman was someone who had become important to Souei. And as his subordinate, that was reason enough for him to want to help the female Lizardman.

Creating a pair of angel wings—but red and twice the size of Tia's—Zaydas said to Rimuru, "Let's move ahead."

Creating a pair of bat wings, Rimuru began to take flight.

Asia, Rurushi, Shion, and Tia created their own wings, with Asia being the one who had the silliest smile on her face since she was currently using angel wings.

Even though she knew that didn't make her an actual angel, she once told him, "My favorite phrase has become: Oh God. Please forgive a sinful person like me, who has angel wings but was actually reincarnated as a Devil!"

Sometimes, she seemed to have a few screws loose, but he couldn't deny that she looked really cute when she said that with a pair of white wings while making a prayer pose and reciting that phrase.
