DxD: THE LEGENDARY TRAVELER WITH SYSTEM

Chapter 39: Chapter 39: Paying with the Body [Bonus Chapter]

AN: Something good happened to me today, and I'm in a good mood, and since I have a good amount of advanced chapters, here is another bonus chapter.

....

The next morning, Rize woke up feeling disoriented.

"Where am I?" She rubbed her eyes, not recognizing the place she was in.

When she recalled the recent events, she murmured, "So that's what happened..."

Seeing that she was only in lingerie and a green baby doll, Rize found her clothes and, using magic, cleaned her body before changing.

"It's kind of unbelievable that until yesterday, we were sleeping in tents in the forest..." Rize murmured softly to herself while doing her best to stifle a yawn. With one eye open, a tear forming, she saw Ria not far away, at the bend of the staircase, also coming down.

Stretching with one hand raised in the air while the other held the railing, she said, "Ria, good morning."

Ria stopped and turned to her, smiling slightly. "Good morning, Rize."

"Rize, Rize, did you sleep well?" Behind her, Rikoto placed her hands on her shoulders, asking cheerfully.

"Yes, it's been years since I've slept this well," Rize admitted.

"Hehe, me too~" Rikoto sang.

Well, they had lived together all this time, so obviously, they would have similar experiences, especially when it came to sleeping.

After reaching Ria, the three continued down the stairs.

On the first floor, the voices of the other girls could be heard.

"Looks like we weren't the first to wake up," Ria said.

"Seems like it." Rize asked, "Ria, what do we do now? Should we build a house for ourselves here?"

"If it's allowed, yes." Ria turned to her, smiling.

Rize thought about it and imagined that with the amount of wood and tiles left over from Zaydas, it would be possible to build two more mansions.

However, that belonged to him, and it wouldn't be fair to ask him to share it with them without offering something in return.

'Maybe we should offer our bodies?' Rize blushed at the thought.

Obviously, it wasn't because she desired him or because she wanted to continue their elf community...

Okay, maybe just a little...

"Rize?"

Snapping back to reality and seeing Ria talking to her, Rize said, "Sorry, Ria, I got distracted for a moment. What did you say?"

"Sigh, it's like this," Ria elaborated. "There's a considerably large farm here. I'm thinking of offering our labor in exchange for living here and asking for some of Zaydas' materials. Also, I think I saw an orchard too, but I'm not sure..."

"I agree," Rize said. "It's actually a good idea."

Rikoto touched her cheek, saying, "But, is something so simple really enough?"

"..."

"..."

Well, Rize had to admit that if it was just about earning permission to live there and getting a portion of the food, it would obviously be fair. But if they wanted to get materials made by Zaydas, which seemed even better than those produced in the big cities... It would be an unfair trade.

"In the end, should we offer our bodies?" Rize murmured, not realizing she had spoken aloud.

"Rize!!" Ria looked at her reproachfully.

"That... Might not be a bad idea~"

Rikoto became all shy but undeniably interested in this kind of approach.

"W-Well, if he wants to..." Ria also seemed to start thinking this way.

When they joined the rest of the girls, it seemed they had similar thoughts and even began planning how to seduce Zaydas.

───────────

Unaware of what the elves were planning 'against him,' Zaydas, who woke up a little later, went down the stairs only to be stared at by seven pairs of shining eyes.

Once again, he felt like a poor rabbit being watched by a pack of hungry wolves.

"Good morning?" He spoke as if it were a question.

"Good morning~" The girls answered in unison.

Seriously, it was quite a scene and would have been very beautiful and harmonious if not for the strange looks they were giving him.

I mean, each of them was a beauty. And it's not surprising—basically, all elves in mythology and stories are described as incredibly beautiful beings. And Zaydas could attest to that with an approving seal.

Sensing a strange tension forming, Zaydas said, "Have you eaten yet? If not, I'll make something."

"We haven't eaten yet," they admitted easily.

Point for them. Pretending they had eaten just to avoid being a bother wasn't really something Zaydas approved of.

This wasn't a situation where he was offering a little bit of Pringles out of politeness. Just as he was raised to offer, he expected others to be equally polite in refusing…

Heading to the kitchen, Zaydas began preparing something simple: salmon fillets, cheese, salad, rice, and tofu soup.

Having food in his storage dimension was something he had started doing. Just like pillows and futons. He had beds too, but only three. It wouldn't be good to take them out when there were seven of them. That's why he gave them the futons.

By the way, a small and subtle detail—Zaydas was using a six-burner wood stove with a metal plate, but instead of using wood, he was using Pyrokinesis. This was also good training to improve his control.

Once, his father said: "Zay, there's an old saying: 'Practice makes perfect.' If you want to specialize in something, make it part of your routine."

...

Minutes later, the smell spread from the kitchen, reaching the living room.

The stomachs of several elves rumbled.

Ria said, "It seems Zaydas is more versatile than we thought."

His value only increased in their eyes.

Ria could even see the sparkle in her sisters' eyes intensifying.

"One of you."

Zaydas' voice was heard from the kitchen. "Can you go ask Hiraku if he's had his breakfast yet? If not, tell him I'm inviting him."

"I'll go!" Riri responded energetically.

She pushed her chair back and left immediately.

At the sound of the door closing with a thud, Rize murmured softly, "Girls, what do you think about doing this..."

───────────

From yesterday to today, Zaydas gained 2,394 AP.

Right now, he gained 1 more AP. As for the reason, he didn't know, but it didn't matter as long as he knew the source. It was almost 100% certain that it was because of the elves.

The fact that he did what he did was enough to become an achievement point.

In other words, the record he altered was greater than it appeared.

Not long after, Hiraku's voice echoed.

"Forgive the intrusion."

Zaydas stepped out of the kitchen, looking at Hiraku with Riri. He said, "You don't have to be so formal. Make yourself at home, you can wait with the girls in the kitchen, it'll be ready soon."

"Yes." Hiraku simply responded, following Riri.

"Wow, now that I see it, your house turned out really nice," Hiraku said loudly enough for Zaydas to hear.

"Haha, I'll build a house for you if you want," Zaydas said in a loud voice. "You saw it yourself yesterday, it's not difficult for me to do that."

"Really? I appreciate it."

Zaydas liked how he didn't hold back when he didn't need to.

False modesty usually tends to be disgusting.

If it were something difficult to do and required a lot of time, that would be a different matter. And in this case, Zaydas was basically taking advantage of Hiraku.

Although he himself could create fertile lands with crops even faster than Hiraku and orchards, things like that needed special care.

Just like in the case of Rimuru, who assigned the Hobgoblins and Goblinas to take care of the crops and orchard he created in exchange for potions for him.

Turning off the fire once everything was ready, Zaydas made all the food float so he could carry everything at once and began approaching the living room.

The kitchen and living room were close to each other, separated by a divider. Over the divider, he could see Hiraku and the elves.

"Let me help!" Ria promptly spoke.

"It's fine." Zaydas appreciated her kindness, but he didn't need help. It was easy to carry, and the distance was short.

"I insist!"

Seeing her so proactive, Zaydas relented a little, making the plates float toward her. "Then, serve the dishes on the table."

Then, noticing the elves looking at him, he made the cups and other items float toward them as well.

With that, it didn't take long before the table was set.

"It looks delicious~" Rita sang.

However, they seemed cautious—after all, it was a cuisine they were unfamiliar with.

"Huh? You're not eating?" Meanwhile, Hiraku, who was Japanese, didn't hesitate to pick up a piece of salmon and put it in his mouth.

Seeing him eat, followed by Zaydas taking some tofu, the elves also started imitating them.

In an instant, the sounds of cutlery and moans of happiness filled the room.

'If someone from outside heard this, they might have some inappropriate thoughts about what's happening here,' Zaydas thought with an ironic smile.

I mean, just imagine multiple moans from women with seductive voices saying things like: "This is so good!", "This is delicious!", "I feel like I've lived just for this moment~!", "Ahh~ Now I can die happy~"

Even Zaydas felt a slight "discomfort."

Hiraku, on the other hand, was someone Zaydas couldn't understand.

Even in this situation, he showed no reaction at all, just continued eating as if nothing was happening.

'Seriously, I'll never understand this guy...'
