DxD 0139: Another One?
The sub-dimension created through the use of Dimension Lost was broken by Abaddon, revealing his completely intact house as four people stood at the entrance while attempting to break through the barrier.
One of them was the wieder of Dimension Lost, who had been badly hurt by Abaddon damaging his ability. Still, even with the attack that Abaddon had thrown, the sub-dimension hadn’t truly been broken. It had merely been breached by Abaddon as he flew in. The cracks then closed once again, isolating Abaddon within the sub-dimension.
“Georg,” A shoulder-length gray-haired man spoke as he punched the door, generating a small explosion that didn’t even leave a scratch on the door, “I thought you said that your Balance Breaker would be impenetrable no matter who tried to break through it.”
“From the inside, Heracles. It’s still possible to enter from the outside,” The man identified as Georg coughed out, “Leonardo, summon your monsters to delay the Red Dragon Emperor. I still need some time to heal the sub-dimension.” He ordered a gray-blue-haired boy who was wearing an impassive expression.
“Understood,” He said before clasping his hands together as his shadow extended outward.
“Some kind of a shadow-based gear?” Abaddon frowned as he landed in front of the group. At the same time the fourth member, a beautiful blonde-haired woman continued using her sword to attack the defensive formation and break through it, ‘They won’t take too long to disturb the occupants …’ Abaddon thought to himself. He didn’t want them to even come into contact with Ophis and possibly convince the Infinite Dragon God to leave.
He decided to get things over with quickly as he boosted himself and his gem silently flashed. At the same time, the extended shadow that was released by Leonardo started rising and forming into different shapes. Seeing the effects of the gear, Abaddon recognized it, “Annihilation Maker …” He spoke, “Two Longinus Sacred Gears, just to break into my house? I’m flattered.” He said with amusement.
It was easy for him to recognize both Dimension Lost and Annihilation Maker since Abaddon had spent quite a bit of time reading and understanding the twelve Longinus gears after he’d ’found’ the Boosted Gear.
He created four whips of Destruction energy that rose up from the ground around him. He then extended them while manipulating them accurately to cut through the monsters that were being created by the wielder of Annihilation Maker, Leonardo. As he used the whips to destroy the monsters and hold the endless waves back, he brought his focus back to Heracles and the sword-wielding woman. The user of Dimension Lost was still in recovery and wouldn’t be able to affect Abaddon for now, so he decided to first take care of the two people who were focusing on breaking through his house’s defenses.
‹BOOST›
Four more whips appeared from the ground and started actively pushing back the endless wave of monsters that Leonardo had been summoning to attack Abaddon. He then cast two magic circles that zapped both the sword-wielding woman and Heracles with lightning before they could even realize it. It caused their assault to stop, but just as Abaddon sent some destruction spheres to attack them, a mist appeared in their path, blocking his attack.
“Keep attacking the barrier,” Georg spoke to the two of them, “We merely need to contact Ophis-sama to succeed. I’ll hold him back.”
“Troublesome,” Abaddon said with annoyance as he spread a thick wave of destruction energy all around him, forming a tornado of crimson with himself as the eye. He combined multiple different magics, including wind, lightning, and destruction to create a violent tornado that was not only constantly zapping everything stuck within, but it was filled with an aura of destruction energy that kept violently assaulting anything that was stuck within.
Moments after the formation of the tornado, everything other than his house got caught up in it. The worst was for the monsters. Leonardo had been slowly adapting them to show some resilience against Abaddon’s Destruction energy, but the tornado completely overwhelmed that resilience. The monsters quickly lost their footing and got stuck floating around within the tornado.
Georg had barely covered his three comrades within the mist of Dimension Lost to protect them as Leonardo said, “Making new monsters is of no use. Even before they are fully formed, they get caught up in the tornado and are killed.”
“Make stronger and heavier Golems,” Georg spoke with gritted teeth, “Make it impossible for them to get caught up in the tornado.”
“I’ll try …” As Leonardo attempted to make stronger monsters, Abaddon walked out of the eye of the tornado, completely unaffected by the extremely violent and uncontrollable attack that he had created.
“You aren’t my match,” He said flatly before disappearing from his spot.
‹TRANSFER›
“No!” Georg quickly fortified his protection followed by doing the same for the protection of the other three. Sadly for him, he was too late.
He noticed a glowing crimson rope wrapping all around Leonardo before he could fortify his protection. The boosted Destruction energy didn’t take too long to break through the previous protective layer and wrapped itself around the young Longinus wielder, restraining him.
Georg gritted his teeth as Leonardo’s pained screams filled the entire sub-dimension. The ropes were not only restraining him but were also destroying his body. Before he or anyone else could do anything, Abaddon put his hand on the kid’s head and chanted something, “Sleep …” He spoke as a yellow glow spread from his palm to the kid’s head. The screams died down as Leonardo fell limp within the ropes. Abaddon had acted fast to put the kid to sleep since he didn’t want some kind of unexpected situation coming out of the kid’s resistance. He knew firsthand how much the ‘will’ of the user affected the power of a sacred gear.
“Now that one of you is taken care of,” Abaddon snapped his fingers, teleporting Leonardo away from the place, “How about I take your Longinus too?” He asked Georg.
“He’s too much for us …” Heracles spoke, “Georg!” His shout snapped the wielder of Dimension Lost out of his shock.
“Cao Cao!” Georg screamed as the mist all around the dimension receded and wrapped all around the three of them.
“Are you trying to escape?” Abaddon growled, “You should’ve thought of me before going after my things.” With his words, the green eyes of his Balance Breaker armor took a darker turn and turned pitch black.
“Cao Cao!” Georg shouted with a hit hint of desperation in his tone. His words seemed to have been answered as a holy glow wrapped around the mist that had enveloped the three of them, “I’ll get you, Red Dragon Emperor!” Georg screamed hoarsely as he and his companions started turning illusory.
“I’ll give you that chance right now!” Abaddon extended both his arms and pitch-black destruction energy escaped from both his hands. It wrapped around the mist of Dimension Lost and passed through it as if it were nothing, quickly reaching the three of them, much to Georg’s shock.
“Dammit!” He exerted his Sacred Gear to its limits as the mist of Dimension Lost exploded out of his body, barely delaying the encroaching hands of that terrifying black energy. With his exertion, they were all able to disappear. At least most of them.
As the dust settled, Abaddon retracted his black destruction within himself and took a deep breath to calm himself down. As for the previous battlefield, all that remained was a skeletal arm that had survived because Abaddon was quick to pull back his Black Destruction.
‘At least I took an arm from him …’ Abaddon thought with narrow eyes, ‘Though getting another one of them as a hostage would have been more ideal. I would’ve been able to take the kid’s Longinus without too many complications in that case.’
“Argh …” Abaddon coughed before falling to one knee as his armor retracted, revealing his unharmed form, “Fucking Black Destruction,” He cursed, “Messed up my internals …” Pulling back the violently uncontrollable ability had caused it to slightly lash out at Abaddon, which caused some damage to his internals as he pulled it back to its separate core.
‘At least I didn’t faint …’ He considered this use of the ability as an absolute win.
He took a few breaths to calm himself down before extending his wings and flying back to Kuoh. With Georg having left, the sub-dimension created by Dimension Lost had also disappeared. It allowed Abaddon to approach Kuoh, only to see that the fighting had already finished. The higher-ups of the three factions were merely observing the now empty battlefield while the fighters —Sona and Tsubaki, Rias, Akeno, and Kiba along with Aika, Irina, and Xenovia were all resting at the side with Asia healing all of their minor bruises and scrapes.
Vali was nowhere to be seen, which made sense to Abaddon. He didn’t think that the man would stay to allow the three factions to imprison him.
“Abaddon!” As he descended, he was met with a beautifully fluffy scene as Rias directly flew to him, meeting him in the air and tightly hugging him. Her actions were followed by the rest of his girls, including Akeno, Aika, and Xenovia. Sadly for Sona, as much as she wanted to join in on the group hug, Serafall was right beside her, pestering her with praises about how well she did in the battle.
