DxD: Infernal Destroyer

DxD 0136: Clash

Outside Kuoh, the soldiers of the three factions were in a stalemate of their own. With a tense atmosphere, thousands of servant devils, church members who had been previously accepted by the Angels, and artificial mummified lifeforms as the Fallen Angels’ subordinates. They all stood in a triangular formation, surrounding Kuoh while tense and ready for a fight.

As time passed, discrete magic circles appeared above the heads of all three factions’ soldiers. They were none the wiser as the circles took effect and right above them appeared the Nilrem magicians. Standing on top of magic circles on the faction members’ heads, the magicians were sharing looks of confusion with each other as if waiting for something to happen. They were all partially invisible to the soldiers of the three factions but still hadn’t made a move since they were waiting for the opportune moment, but that moment didn’t seem that it would be arriving.

Soon enough, a flare appeared in the sky and they understood that their ambush plan had failed and they would have to get into a head-on fight against the forces of the three factions.

Just as the attention of the soldiers of the three factions moved to the flare that had just appeared in the air, the magicians’ forces started bombarding them from above with magical spears. The ambush almost instantly killed a quarter of the soldiers before the others could set up their defenses.

A few minutes earlier.

“Since the issue of Kokabiel has been resolved, how about we just get to the signing of the treaty?” Azazel asked, “This meeting has drawn on for long enough.”

“I agree. Since we have already established that Kokabiel had gone rogue, and his actions were in no way representing Grigori, I am in support of the treaty,” Michael said.

“Great,” Sirzechs said, “Serafall have you prepared the contract?”

“All three of you should have already received your copies. Here is the main binding contract,” Serafall produced a contract out of nowhere and put it in the center of the table.

“Now what’s to say you haven’t altered some terms of the contract to benefit —“ Azazel was about to playfully tease Serafall by questioning the veracity of her contract but an explosion outside the room interrupted his words.

Sona and Rias’ side quickly made their way to the window to see what the commotion was all about while the leaders along with Abaddon, Grayfia, Gabriel, and Vali all calmly stood in their spots.

“Magicians …” Rias cried out at the view of the battles that had commenced right outside. Countless magicians were overpowering the forces of the three factions that were stationed here.

“The Nilrem, huh?” Abaddon commented with an interested tone as he noticed Vali sporting a disgruntled frown on his face. He knew why that frown was on the man’s face. Going by the events of the morning, Vali had some dubious relationships.

“How rude~☆” Serafall commented, “They should know that I’m the magical girl here~☆”

“How did they know the coordinates of this sub-dimension,” Sirzechs commented before glancing at Azazel.

“Of course, it’s because we have a traitor here,” Azazel said casually before leaning back on his chair and putting his leg up on the conference table. His gaze moved to Sona since she was the one who was responsible for establishing the dimension.

“Get your dirty gaze away from my Sona,” Serafall commented with outrage, “Who do you think you are? I’ll destroy that damn peace treaty right now if you’re itching for a fight.”

“Woah, woah,” Azazel raised his hands in defeat, “I was just looking, I never said anything.”

“See, Azazel, you really shouldn’t look at Sona like that,” Abaddon commented from behind the man, almost startling the leader of the Fallen Angels, “Now only will you piss off Serafall, but you would also piss me off. Especially when it’s your dog that’s betrayed us.”

“No need to disrespect him like that,” Azazel commented, still sitting casually, “And I don’t think you are aware of what you’re talking about.”

“Is that so?” Abaddon chuckled before stepping back as a magic circle appeared in the center of the room, right on top of the conference table.

“This magic circle …” Sirzechs narrowed his eyes, “I’m familiar with this signature.”

Moments later, the teleportation was completed as a busty caramel-skinned woman appeared. She had an arrogant expression and spoke with a shrill voice, “Greetings, Sirzechs-dono, Serafall-dono.”

“Katarea Leviathan …” Serafall spoke with narrowed eyes.

“Our guards are getting decimated,” Michael spoke with a troubled expression, “I suggest some of us go out to fight the magicians.”

“Agreed,” Azazel said, “Vali, how about you show them what you’re made of?”

“Gladly,” Vali extended two devil wings out of his back and broke through the glass window to exit the room.

“Rias, Sona, take your people and support Vali,” Sirzechs ordered while keeping his gaze honed in at Katarea.

“Onii-sama, what about Irina …” Rias said.

“After this situation is dealt with. Ask her if she is willing to help out.” Sirzechs said as Katarea gave a disdainful laugh at Sirzechs and Serafall.

“What are you doing here, Katarea?” Serafall asked, “I thought my previous stance toward you was clear enough.”

The busty woman ignored Serafall and spoke, “Chaos and destruction to this world.” She raised the staff in her hand as energy condensed at the tip before exploding outward, destroying the entire room and half of the building.

As the dust blew away, the previous occupants of the room appeared within a barrier that was created by the combined efforts of the three leaders.

“Nice statement that you’re making here,” Katarea scoffed, “However, with the God and True Satans dead, cooperation seems a bit meaningless, doesn’t it? I think this world should be ready for a revolution now.”

“God, your shrill voice is so annoying,” Abaddon complained with an annoyed expression, “Can you shut up?”

“Who do you think you are?” The woman looked at Abaddon with anger, “I’m a descendant of one of the great Devil kings.”

“Considering how long you and the other Old Satan Faction members have been exiled, I don’t expect you to be familiar with me,” Abaddon said before turning to the leaders, “I’m taking this annoying skank. Seriously, hearing her voice, I don’t even feel tempted to fuck her.”

Azazel couldn’t help but laugh at Abaddon’s words, “I think you’re about to have another problem on your hands, let me take her.”

“Am I now?” Abaddon mumbled with a narrowed gaze.

“Do you have no intention of backing down, Katarea?” Sirzechs asked as the barrier dissipated.

“I have no intention of living in a world where the truth is covered up. God and the Satans are dead and the world needs a revolution.” Kartarea said.

“This is much more than a simple civil war amongst the devils, isn’t it?” Michael spoke in a pained tone, “You are after world domination.”

“Of course,” She said, “This world needs —“

“I see what you were talking about,” Azazel told Abaddon, “Her voice really gets on your nerves after a while.” With his words, he took flight, directly attacking Katarea, unwilling to listen to more of her nonsense.

“We should start taking care of these magicians,” Grayfia spoke, “Unlike our guards, these magicians either have far too many numbers since they keep coming back, or they aren’t being killed by our people in the first place.”

“Rias, Sona,” Sirzechs spoke, “Move out, we will be keeping an eye on anything unusual happening.”

“Understood,” Rias spoke before Akeno, Asia, and Kiba got ready, summoning their respective powers.

“Take Xenovia and Aika too,” Abaddon said, “Some combat experience would do Aika good. And I’m sure that Xenovia is looking forward to fighting alongside Irina again.”

“I —“ Xenovia had a complex expression on her face, not sure about how she could face Irina after having completely renounced God.

“Later,” Abaddon said, “Right now is the time for you to show your worth.”

“Understood, my lord,” Xenovia nodded before summoning her sword, it was her Excalibur Destruction.

The others all took their stances as Rias took to the skies and started blasting the magicians with Destruction magic. As for Akeno, she changed from her school uniform to her usual battle haori and hakama before taking to the skies. Asia stayed on the ground, close to the powerhouses, but was ready with her Twilight Healing to take care of anyone who appeared. As for Kiba and Xenovia, they both shared a look before jumping toward the closest magicians to attack them.

Sona and Tsubaki also took battle stances, Sona summoning two large snakes of water around her as Tsubaki summoned her dual mirrors. Since the rest of her Peerage was busy managing the barrier, it was just Sona and Tsubaki who worked together in perfect coordination to attack the magicians. Tsubaki had the perfect defense alongside the reflective nature of her sacred gear to throw back attacks which allowed Sona to use her water manipulation to its fullest.

Akeno was staying at a distance and casting weird magic circles that didn’t seem to have any effects as they were cast, but weirdly enough, many of the magicians were being attacked by lightning as if it was appearing right beside them. By the time Rias noticed Akeno’s weird spell, the Queen had already taken out a significant chunk of the attacking forces.

“What’s that spell?” Rias flew to come beside Akeno as she continued attacking anyone who came close enough.

“Fufu~” She laughed in her usual teasing manner, “It’s something I practiced with A-kun,” She told Rias before casting multiple teleporting lightning spells that directly decimated the four foes that had appeared close to Rias.

“No fair,” Rias pouted, deciding to confront Abaddon about it later.

“I guess he just likes me more,” Akeno didn’t mind teasing Rias even further.

“I’ll take care of you sooner or later,” Rias grumbled before finishing off the last group of magicians in the area before moving further to the next group of magicians.
