DxD: Infernal Destroyer

DXD 0014: Sin of Pride

“Don’t answer him senpai, someone who doesn’t even have the decency of knocking before entering doesn’t deserve to talk to us.”

Suddenly, the atmosphere of the room chilled as some of the people in the room seemed to take a short breath, “Saji—“ Tsubaki had just turned to him to reprimand him before she felt as of she’d lost the ability to speak, feeling a chill creeping up her spine that told her that it’s best to shut up.

Abaddon looked at the man in question, “Saji, hm?” He looked at him with that still nonchalant smile on his face, though his presence was anything but gentle. He was releasing a level of pressure that terrified every single person in the room. Everyone snapped out of it after a few seconds, but they knew better and kept their mouths shut.

“Do you think…” Abaddon’s voice came out almost demonic as just his words made everyone’s ears hurt due to the sheer pressure that was present within the voice, “…That you have any right to speak in front of me, mongrel?” His voice got more and more diabolic with each word as a deep crimson red started bubbling out of his body, seeming as viscous as a liquid. It was a contrasting look as he still had an amused smile on his face.

He started walking toward Saji who had already summoned his sacred gear and was ready for a fight, “I said what I said.” In a misguided attempt at bravery, Saji kept talking, “Someone as rude as you doesn’t deserve my king.” He said, not realizing that he was making things worse.

Abaddon lightly chuckled but even that came out as a threatening demonic laugh due to his instinctive infusion of the Power of Destruction into his voice. As he kept walking toward Saji, the pawn in question couldn’t take the pressure and attacked him with his sacred gear, Absorption Line. From a serpentine bracelet on his wrist, a line of pure sky blue was released and approached Abaddon, wrapping around him.

“Is that a lizard I sense…” He said in an amused voice as he let the absorption line wrap around him. Though just as Saji utilized his ability to absorb Abaddon’s energy, the blue line turned crimson and started disintegrating from the inside, quickly approaching his sacred gear.

Saji panicked and cut off the line as he took shaky steps backward.

“Smart. If my power reached you, you would’ve disintegrated within mere moments.” Abaddon said with derision as he finally reached Saji. Before the blonde boy could even react, he felt a hand clasping around his neck before he was slammed into the ground ruthlessly, breaking a couple of his bones.

“A mere mongrel such as yourself has no right to talk in my presence,” Abaddon said as he stepped on Saji’s chest. The sound of cracking was heard as his ribs started cracking, “The only reason you’re still alive is because of my consideration toward Sona.” He lifted his foot before slamming it down again, Saji’s struggles were completely meaningless against Abaddon’s raw and overpowering strength.

“Your petty jealousy toward me holds no weight, just like your existence without that toy.” He stepped on Saji’s right wrist, just above the area where he had his sacred gear.

His desperate screams of pain were the only thing that was being heard in the room other than Abaddon’s diabolic voice.

After a minute or so of the degrading torture for Saji, as he was abused both verbally and physically, there was a flash of light in the room as Sona appeared in the room after being called by Tsubaki and hugged Abaddon from behind, “Please stop! Abaddon!” She begged him, her head only being able to reach his shoulder due to their height difference.

“Yeah, I was getting bored anyway…” He said as he turned around to look at Sona, “Keep your pawn under control when you’re out, Sona. Next time, I might just not keep you in consideration.” He said to Sona with a flat expression as he walked out of the room.

“This was keeping you in consideration, Kaichou?!” Ruruko Nimura, Sona’s other pawn, said. Some of the other members also nodded in agreement. Ruruko had a crush on Saji and she was appalled at the state Abaddon had left Saji in.

The guy was releasing faint groans as Abaddon had cast some spell to make sure that he stays conscious for the entire time. Most of his bones were broken and his limbs were practically crushed by Abaddon.

If Tsubaki hadn’t stopped Ruruko, she would’ve rushed in to fight against Abaddon, in truth, Sona’s entire peerage would’ve fought against Abaddon if Tsubaki hadn’t stopped them from acting by using Sona’s name.

“You have no idea what kind of a person Abaddon Bael is,” Sona said with a suppressed tone. She felt bad for Saji and angry at Abaddon, but she understood the situation. Under that gentle and teasing persona, he was the true definition of a devil if someone stepped on his bottom line.

“The fact that Saji is still alive is showing consideration to me. Tsubaki already conveyed the situation to me.” Sona said before sighing with a tight frown on her face before continuing, “This was my fault. I didn’t brief you all about who Abaddon Bael truly is. I thought that we won’t be fighting him anytime soon, so I didn’t think that there was any need to study him right now.”

“It was good that Tsubaki stopped you, otherwise you all would be in the same state as Saji. Once someone steps on his pride, no matter who it is, they are mercilessly killed. At that time, he doesn’t see what consequences might be there for his actions or what might happen. He will kill anyone who steps on his pride.” Sona said with a somber tone.

“Get Saji healed, I have to go talk with Abaddon. Tsubaki, brief everyone on him so that something like this doesn’t happen again.” With that order, Sona left.

Abaddon was out of the school as he was walking around. He was still wearing nothing but a robe and slippers as he enjoyed the cool night breeze on his face.

‘I forgot to talk to Sona about Aika…’ He realized, ‘I’ll do it tomorrow…’ He didn’t want to bother with this for now.

He saw a flash of light appear near him and saw that it was Sona who’d just appeared, “Hi…” He smiled at her as if he hadn’t just mercilessly beaten up her pawn to near death. She stared him down with narrowed eyes as she grabbed his arm and made him look at her, “I’m mad at you.” She said.

“I understand.” He said.

“You beat up my pawn.” She said to him with an angry tone.

“He asked for it.” He shrugged.

“You didn’t even hold back a little.” She said even more angrily.

“I did hold back, quite a bit in fact, otherwise he would be dead.” He said.

“Will you apologize?” She looked at him with menacing eyes.

“Impossible. It wasn’t my fault, and even if it was, I would never apologize for my actions. You know that.” He said.

Sona sighed, “I know. Fine, just… How about you directly call me next time you want to talk to me? My peerage is practically terrified of you.” She said with an annoyed tone.

“Sure, I don’t mind. Though I can’t promise that I won’t end up dropping into the Student Council room every once in a while just to fuck with them.” He smiled mischievously.

Sona closed her eyes and rubbed her head, “I can’t really stop you. You were looking for me for something?” She asked.

“Oh, yeah. There’s this girl in my class, Aika Kiryuu.” He said.

“Yeah, that pervert who can measure the size of any dick by just the bulge on the pants,” Sona recalled and saw his confused yet judgemental look.

“I remember her because she’s a bit of a troublemaker…” She explained embarrassedly, “Though what about her?” She asked.

“She won’t be coming to school for a while. I appreciated her potential and drive so I decided to put it to actual use. She’s going to be one of my pawns in the future.” He informed Sona and now it was her turn to give him a confused yet judgemental look.

“Really, that pervert? I never could’ve imagined she would be good for anything…” Sona was surprised.

“With the right motivation, she can be quite useful.” He shrugged.

“Sure, I’ll take care of it.” Sona agreed, “Though on one condition.” She said.

“No, I won’t give you the same treatment that I gave her to motivate you.” He instantly said.

“That’s not what I’m talking about,” She playfully slapped his shoulder with a chuckle, “Are you free anytime soon? There’s a relatively strong stray devil that’s been eluding me for a while and I need to take care of it.” She said hoping for him to agree.

“Sure. I’ll help you take care of it while we can also enjoy a nice date.” He agreed. “How about the day after tomorrow?” He offered.

“Why not tomorrow?” She asked.

“I already have plans with Akeno.” He told Sona. “Ah… So you’re also planning on being an unfaithful bastard.” Sona narrowed her eyes.

“Don’t sweat it, we’re devils. This is second nature to us. And just because I’m giving my affection to other girls doesn’t mean that I’m going to like you any less. You matter to me a lot too.” He told her.

“Who matters more?” She asked, she asked him with a smirk that promised pain if he answered wrongly.

“At this current moment, you are the only one who matters to me.” He said definitively with a smile.

“So when you’re with her you can use this same line?” Sona caught onto his wordplay. “Yeah, aren’t I smart?” He said proudly. She shook her head and grabbed his arm before walking back to the school.

They both normally walked back instead of teleporting as they were enjoying each other’s presence.
