DxD: Infernal Destroyer

DXD 0006: Sona Sitri

“How does he fight?” Akeno asked Rias before continuing, “He just seems so harmless and terrifying at the same time that I can’t imagine what he does to his enemies.”

“I’ll show you one of his recent Rating games. You’ll realize why I was so relieved when he agreed to help me out with Riser. My confidence in him stems from his undeniable power.” She said as she cast a magic circle, creating a hologram in the air.

“This was when he fought Diodora Astaroth and his peerage last year,” Rias said as the hologram started playing.

Astaroth’s peerage was spread out on the entire field as each of them had the utmost serious expression. On the other side, Abaddon was seen standing with an almost lazy and impatient expression as he waited for the commencement of the match.

Just as the commencement signal was cast, Abaddon disappeared from his spot and appeared in front of a pair of Astaroth’s pawns.

Before they could even react to his presence, he pointed at them and muttered, “Hakai…” And that was all. They disappeared as if they never even existed. Abaddon could be seen chuckling as he muttered Hakai once again as if it was some inside joke that only he knew. This time there was no effect as he was just saying it for the fuck of it. “He’s just playing with them…” Akeno realized.

Then he teleported again as he targeted another of Astaroth’s Rooks. This one was alone.

Though this time, as he muttered, “Hakai,” The Rook started disintegrating from his spot, “Hm?” He looked around, realizing that a magical barrier was placed around him that blocked him from teleporting outside.

Then several magic circles appeared and Diodora Astaroth and his entire Peerage appeared, surrounding him from all directions.

“He’s trapped with them…” Akeno muttered with worry. “Is he?” Rias had a wry smile. Akeno’s confusion was soon answered as she kept watching.

They all started bombarding him with attacks that all disintegrated just as they reached him, A red glow surrounding his entire body “That’s his signature Armor of Destruction. Even my brother is impressed by his fine control over the Power of Destruction…” Rias said and heard Akeno gasp as she realized the implications of being acknowledged by the devil who was known as the strongest publically.

Diodora started monologing and going on and on about how Abaddon’s overconfidence was his downfall and all, all the while his peerage kept attacking Abaddon. After letting Diodora speak for a minute or so, Abaddon mumbled, “What a troublesome traitor…“

“What?” Astaroth’s question was never answered as a pure crimson blasted out of Abaddon, anything that approached him disappeared as if it had never existed.

“You think that mere tactics can stop me?” He said with disdain and pride oozing out of his voice. That crimson energy quickly broke through the barrier that had been established, “Tactics are nothing in front of absolute power.” He continued as the crimson pillar that just broke through the barrier. “Your schemes are nothing in front of me.” He said. At the same time, multiple solid whips of deep crimson extended out of his body and attacked Diodora’s peerage. Some of them were able to dodge in time, but the ones who were unsuccessful were disintegrated by a mere touch of the whips.

“You are all weak.” He stated as if it was fact and the whips glowed even brighter and suddenly sped up, catching the rest of Diodora’s peerage and eliminating them too.

“You know why I left you for the last?” He asked as he saw Diodora’s legs trembling, “Because I know that you don’t have the guts to use it against me, and all you can feel when facing me… is absolute despair.” Abaddon said to him and with a wave of his hand, the trembling Diodora was also eliminated.

Rias closed the hologram spell that was projecting the fight, “You see now? No one’s ever seen him get serious against any enemy of our generation.” She said.

“What was he talking about?” Akeno asked, “That thing that Diodora doesn’t dare use against him…” She continued. “No one knows.” Rias shrugged, “People just chucked it off to being a private feud. Though I’m sure that it’s more complicated than that. Abaddon doesn’t do private feuds. He usually just beats people up until he’s satisfied.” She said, “But he didn’t tell me when I asked him.” Rias shrugged.

“He’s crazy strong…” Akeno muttered, thinking of that crimson pillar of energy that seemed to suppress everything around him. “I know.” Rias agreed. “They would all be dead without even a body to show for it if the rules of the rating games didn’t save their lives by teleporting them away at the essential time.”

Abaddon spent the rest of the day training with Kiba and learning the basics of sword fighting and soon it was time for him to meet with Sona. She had promised to show him around Kuoh after all.

“I had fun, Kiba. Let’s train again sometime.” He said to Kiba who had a traumatized expression on his face as he was lying in the grass, huffing as he was covered in sweat. ‘Please… never again…’ Kiba hoped to all the devils that he could hope to.

Abaddon walked away with a smile on his face as he looked forward to his date with Sona.

Soon, he reached the Student Council Room which Rias had told him was the room for Sona and her peerage. He flared his power to let them know that he was arriving and pushed open the door. As he walked in, he realized that Sona’s peerage was already in a defensive position, “I flare my presence so that you know that I’m here, not because I want you to take defensive measures.” He said as he looked at Sona who was also ready for a fight.

“You could knock to let us know of your presence, Abaddon-san…” Sona’s Queen said politely, “You’re Tsubaki Shinra, right?” He asked, ignoring her words, “Y-Yes,” She said with a stutter, hoping that she didn’t offend him.

“I don’t like knocking on doors.” He said before looking back toward Sona, “You ready, Sona?” He asked her with a smile. “Just give me a moment. Dismissed,” She ordered her peerage before going to a separate area behind a screen and changing her clothes.

A moment later, she came out wearing a nice navy blue dress that hugged her figure and went to the middle of her bare thighs accentuated by the presence of matching blue heels. “Let’s go, Abaddon…” She said as she walked up to him.

“You look pretty.” He said as he grabbed her hand and walked out of the student council room. The whole exchange left her peerage surprised and confused. There was also a jealous man who was looking at Abaddon with a look of envy.

“Mind if we go get something to eat first, Sona?” He asked her. “Sure, there’s a nice cafe nearby,” She agreed. They both walked out of the school which was by now completely empty, everyone had already left.

“You are primarily a water manipulator, right?” He asked. “Yeah, why do you ask?” She agreed and asked. “No particular reason, I just like seeing how much control people have over their demonic energy.” He said as he looked at her imploringly.

She understood and shrugged, “Sure.” She cast a strong spell of hers as a large amount of water formed above Kuoh Academy and exploded, making it rain. “Cool…” He said as he formed an umbrella of destruction. Whatever water came close to him and Sona from the rain disintegrated as they walked. “I sort of regret not letting us get doused by the water… It would’ve been nice to see that dress stuck to your skin…” He commented.

“That sounds uncomfortable.” She said, a tinge of red visible on her face.

“Getting drenched in rain is pretty fun, we’ll try it sometime. We’ll go for a walk in the heavy rain, letting it drench us completely. It’ll be an amazing experience.” He said.

“Do you have a specific reason for coming here, Abaddon?” She asked, changing the topic since she was getting flustered. “Not really, I’m just here to have some fun. My old man thought that I don’t have any friends and am too much of an antisocial ass so he sent me here.” He said with a shrug, “Though this place doesn’t seem that bad. I’ve enjoyed my time here since I arrived. I met quite a few unique characters too.” He said.

“Oh… Rias put you in the year below us to mess with you right?” She asked. “Yeah…” He said with an annoyed undertone, “I could get it changed if you want…” Sona offered.

“It’s fine, it doesn’t matter anymore. I’ll take my revenge on her later.” He said with a casual chuckle. “Well, I’ll wish her the best of luck. She’ll probably need it…” Sona commented.

“Do you have something that you want to do, Sona?” He asked, “Well, I haven’t had the chance to go to the aquarium yet. It’s an amazing place, would you like to go?” She asked. “Sure. I don’t mind. We can go to the aquarium after eating.” He said and continued, “Though I meant about your life. Like do you have some goal or dream?”

“Oh…” Sona blushed with embarrassment at the misunderstanding.
