Chapter 49: Chapter 48: Little Faith, Great Shaking.
The two looked each other in the eye, sharing a deep sadness and a sense of guilt. They both realized that they had been unfair in their judgments, ignoring the obvious faults within their own group while pointing out the faults of others.
The Female Protagonist, Irina Shidou had her faith shaken; the host's fortune increased by 10, while the fate points increased by 50.
The Female Protagonist, Xenovia Quarta had her faith shaken; the host's fortune increased by 10, while the fate points increased by 50.
Irina noticed the hesitation in Xenovia's eyes, the lost look and the defeated posture. It was such a blow to Xenovia that Irina, although deeply affected, immediately felt the need to protect her. In the midst of the confusion and fear, all Irina wanted to do was grab Xenovia's hand and run, away from the disturbing presence of the Light.
In the midst of that palpable tension, Light's voice echoed, unbearably touching the depths of Xenovia's and Irina's souls. There was something almost hypnotic in his words, something that tore at the core of their faith, making them question their own decision. It was a torment that neither of them had ever felt.
Curiously, even in the face of this challenge, the fortunes of both women seemed to flourish. From an initial 300 and 350, Xenovia and Irina saw their numbers rise to 380 and 320 respectively. It was an unexpected revelation: their faith was directly linked to their fortunes. But what does this really mean?
Realizing that his approach wasn't working, Light knew he had to change his strategy if he wanted to keep them close without resorting to force. Smiling sarcastically and looking defiant, he teased: "You always mention God, faith... But what would you say if..."
"Don't you dare!", Irina interrupted, with a panic gripping her chest.
Xenovia also felt a wave of unease, her stomach churning in a mixture of fear and anger.
Even so, Light continued, mocking Irina's attempt to stop him: "During the third war, many died, including a figure no one expected. That someone, believe it or not, was God!"
Shocked and on the verge of tears, Xenovia shook her head vehemently, "That's a lie!" she shouted, denial evident in every syllable. "It can't be true! It's a cruel lie!"

Light watched Xenovia's reactions astutely. He could see the contradiction in her eyes: although her words vehemently denied her claim, there was a visible hesitation in her posture, a questioning that had never existed before. In his mind, he reflected: 'She denies it with words, but her faith is no longer the same. Could this be the influence of my mystical ability, "Hypocritical Persuasion"?'
Wearing an enigmatic smile, he continued, his voice sounding almost melodic: "You must be wondering, how can someone with my powers continue to exist or use them after being reincarnated as a Demon?" Saying this, he reached out and, with a bold gesture, touched the crucifix hanging around Xenovia's neck. "Observe. The supreme symbol of the Christian faith does not harm me. Could the answer to that be linked to God's destiny? Isn't it Michael who now leads the heavens?"
The weight of Light's words seemed overwhelming. Xenovia, with a heavy heart and a confused spirit, knelt down, muttering words of denial, trying to hold on to whatever spark of faith remained. Beside her, Irina also felt her inner world shaken, even more so when the Light before her eyes manifested a brilliance brighter than any celestial light she had ever seen.
This luminosity was a living contradiction. A demon displaying such pure, divine power? Touching sacred symbols without any repulsion? And Irina's prayer, why didn't it affect him? All this led to an inevitable and disturbing question: had God, against all belief, really ceased to exist?
The Female Protagonist, Xenovia Quarta, had her faith shaken; the host's fortune increased by 70, while the fate points increased by 350.
The Female Protagonist, Irina Shidou, had her faith shaken; the host's fortune increased by 100, while the fate points increased by 500.
The expressions on Xenovia and Irina's faces contorted in agony, the weight of Light's revelations too much for their devoted souls. And, in a moment of sheer vulnerability, they both succumbed to unconsciousness. The silence that followed was almost deafening.
Light remained motionless, absorbing the magnitude of what he had just done. He felt no guilt because, in his opinion, it was only a matter of time before they discovered the truth on their own. But now, faced with two young women who had been knocked unconscious by his words, he knew he couldn't just leave them there.
With a resigned sigh, storing his swords in the [Inner World], he gently took them in his arms, one on each side. His wings exploded on his back, enveloped in a luminescent aura, and with a powerful beat, he flew towards his residence.

As he entered the hall of his residence, Himari looked at him curiously. "Who are these girls, young master?" she asked, trying to hide her prior knowledge of them. She really had no choice.
If she intentionally tried to reveal something that showed she knew who they were, and this led to the revelation that she heard the inner voice, it would be blocked.
With a half-sarcastic smile, he replied: "They're churchgoers, devout Christians."
The truth about God's death shook the core of their beliefs. Although they were unconscious now, a seed of doubt had already been planted in their hearts. The moment they challenged the Church on this truth, excommunication would be the inevitable result. And Light, well, he simply hastened the inevitable.
Irina's future was uncertain. It was unknown whether she would later be reincarnated as an Angel at the hands of the Archangel Michael.
Inside the guest room, Light, with meticulous care, removed the sacred swords from his [Inner World] and positioned them next to the beds where the two were resting.
