Chapter 8: A Cave Of Goblins
After talking for a few minutes the crew decided to listen to the undead mage since this was the most information they have gotten. All of them walked out the northern entrances of Vyolmir,as they walked towards Gondor, where the Elder Quake Dragon known to many as Drolfor.
The harsh cold winds destroyed and up rooted the trees of Gondor, each second in Gondor got colder and colder. It was also getting harder to see anything as Yuni walked over to Theo patting his back.
"We need to setup camp!" she shouted.
She pointed towards a nearby cave, and everyone ran towards them, but unbeknownst to them was that a tribe of goblins and hob goblins lived inside that cave.
A few minutes after they settled inside the cave, Theo was cooking hot chicken broth for the crew as Sticky helped him cook the meal.
It was warm for now due to the campfire and blessing that Volhcard gave to everyone. Theo gave everyone a bowl as he poured the chicken broth inside each bowl as soon as the bowls were filled everyone started drinking and eating.
"This is so good!" Aralia commented as she sipped some of the soup.
Theo chuckled as he replied, "My. mother taught me how to cook many recipes."
As they continued eating their dinner, deeper within the cave were cackling laughs and sticks being broken.
Everyone heard this and stood up cautiously awaiting who was in the cave. Theo grabbed his blunderbuss and aimed at the darkness as Volhcard prepared a magics barrier for them.
"Well shit, we entered a Goblin den." cursed Yumi as she aimed towards the darkness.
From the darkness came out a green goblin and was shot by Yumi immediately as more came out. It was a bloodbath of goblins being slaughtered by the crew from slicing, cutting, stabbing, explosions, fire, arrows, and bullets.
But from the shadows were two massive warthogs that stood at a height of 20 meters with each one having a hob goblin riding them. Leading the two was a hob gobling with tusks coming from his mouth holding on to two longswords.
"Puny humans, enter home means free food!" the hob goblin roared.
The two that were riding the warthogs rushed towards the crew sending their belongings flying as one of them tried to eat Volhcard.
Aralia took the hit as she held on to its jaw, which allowed Yumi to shoot at the hob goblin riding the warthog. The other was being fought by Sticky and Jae who transformed as a grizzly bear.
Aralia shoved her hand inside the warthog and started to pull on its tongue as Yuni bombarded it with multiple slashes.
"Give me your tongue!" Aralia shouted as she ripped the tongue of the warthog, and she threw the warthog down on to the ground allowing Yumi to cut it open.
Theo stared down at the hob goblin holding two longswords. The hob goblin spoke its voice guttural, "Human you leader?"
Theo nodded before aiming the blunderbuss at the hob goblin. The hob goblin chuckled before tossing his weapons away.
"Human fight, no weapons." he said.
Theo thought for a second before deciding to throw his blunderbuss at Volhcard. He got into a fight stance as he taunted for the hob goblin to attack him first.
The hob goblin laughed mockingly at Theo as he rushed towards Theo. In just a second Theo struck the hob goblin's throat before spinning the hob goblin's body into the air.
"That was quick." Theo grabbed the two longswords and sliced off the hob goblin's head.
The other warthog was being burnt by Jae who transformed into a flame wyvern while Sticky absorbed its corpse.
"That wasn't the tribe leader that's for sure." Yuni placed back her daggers away as she walked deeper into the cave.
"Oi wait... Of course." Theo sighed before following Yumi.
Theo looked back at the others, "You guys stay behind were gonna handle the tribe."
Aralia nodded as Jae grabbed a bowl and poured chicken broth inside it. Sticky rested on Aralia's head as Volhcard started drinking root beer.
Seeing them do these things made Theo sigh before going in deeper into the cave.
A few hours later, Theo and Yuni arrived at a massive clearing where a large ogre sat on a throne of bones. The ogre stood up at a height of 8'4 and took a massive cleaver made of muscle and bone.
He roared out for the goblins to rush at Theo, and Yuni. Theo rushed in and dodged all the goblins going for the main one, the ogre as Yumi handled all the goblins.
Theo slid down as the ogre slammed the cleaver at him and as he slid he shot at the ogre's crotch.
A massive roar of pain came out of the ogre as it fell on its knees. Theo aimed his blunderbuss at his head with one hand as he spoke, "I don't have a one liner, so fuck you."
He pulled the trigger exploding the ogre's head as it revealed the many goblin corpses that Yuni had killed with her daggers.
They both nodded at each other as they left the area.
The next day, the crew walked back up the mountain to reach a massive area where the Elder Quake Dragon laid asleep, snoring which caused the mountain to shake.
Feeling the presence of the crew Drolfor slowly awoke and stood up at 120 meters with massive wings made of rock and crystal, it stood on all fours as it grumbled.
"What have you come here for?!" as he spoke the whole mountain would shake and reverberate the noise.
Everyone was cautious and afraid, so they let Theo take the lead in talking.
"We need to head to Cerrix because we want to find Volantis." Theo bowed his head as he spoke.
The dragon snorted before speaking, "I shall let you pass only if you can best me in a ba-"
Right before he could finish speaking Yumi cut him off by going on a rant, "Don't you fucking say battle! We have done many things just to get information, and now we have to pass this hellish mountain just so we can get more information! So if I were you I'd fuck off, and go do your drama elsewhere! Fuck!"
She panted heavily, her eyes filled with pure fury and annoyance as everyone stood there speechless including the dragon.
Yumi stormed off passed the dragon and into the road before looking back, "Are you guys gonna follow or not?!" she asked, her temper sizzling.
No one decided to argue or speak, and just followed Yuni as the dragon stood there confused.
