Dungeon Overlord: Monster Girl Harem!

Chapter 236: The Gladius Kingdom

Leonhardt stood atop the tall mountains that protected his lands, a massive basin more than two hundred metres deep.

Beside him, the tall, muscular orc Olgana and his warriors kneel—the flat land atop the mountain is ideal for building and training in low-oxygen conditions.

"Haa..."

With a long breath, Leonhardt closed his eyes and frowned. "It's harsh, the air makes it difficult to recover and breathe well."

"King! My brother's are struggling too!"

The powerful Ravenfist orcs struggled to gather thier breaths. Leonhardt wanted to create a place where his forces could train to the limit. Information inherited from his creator spoke of a strange race of humans that existed during the era of wars...

"According to ancient records, training at such heights and with such difficulty can help one grow stronger. Olgana... do you not wish to bring your brother's. Our brother's to the next step and surpass those who look down on us?"

Leon took a deep breath, his lungs filled with pure, chilled air, then swiped his hand across the air, creating a burst of aura in a black arc...

A simple sweep of magic distorted and reformed the mountains.

The peaks flattened, with a vast amount of land created atop the mountains.

"Olgana, I don't ask you to bring everyone here." He turned back with a faint smile, "but it's not just the humans who plan to attack the basin. We will eventually fight demons, monsters and other fiends. That's why... we have to surpass our limits. Constantly. Without Rest."

"King..." Olgana's eyes widened as his mouth opened wide at the enormous flat land that spread across the basin peaks. "This land...?"

"You and the goblins, will train together here for the next month. I will send others to protect your forest and honour my promise to you."

On the other side, across the southern opening where humans and people from Embervale travelled to trade, leading into the Gladius Kingdom, another group looked out from across the other peak.

"The elves will train with the shadow wolves on the opposite peak, so do not worry, go crazy and teach the goblins about pride and how to stand up for themselves."

Olgana listened to Leonhardt, who explained his plans without leaving things out or treating the orcs like fools. "King! We will follow you until the end!"

Orcs were a simple race that lived by their set rules, whether facing a dragon or a human, their way of life and rules wouldn't change.

That's why Leonhardt liked them so much.

"I will be leaving."

"My King, where are you going?"

"Please, King we do better!"

The Orcs truly accepted him after he had lived in the bountiful forest, which brought them a glorious new home—they no longer needed to starve or watch their brothers and sisters suffer.

"Don't worry, I am going there." His finger pointed towards the south, deep beneath them, a small village, now reinforced with half-built stone walls and hundreds of soldiers. "I will leave with Olga, and a small party."

"Oooh!? With my sister? Does My King like her? Although she is small and lacking, I hope that Olga can serve you well."

Olgana beamed about his sister.

Leonhardt's eyes shrank—he noticed a strange change in Olgana's voice and expression, his smile covered half his face as his shoulders shook with each chuckle.

"Don't look too far into it. Olgana, I will not force your sister into my bed."

There were specific rules that Leonhardt decided to live by after growing and learning lessons in the basin. He discovered several things about himself and the world.

I won't create another Dia.

She wasn't something he desired to recreate, their relationship complicated and based on betrayal, sex and breaking her mind.

"My King, do not misunderstand. Olga chose the King and left the tribe to achieve her goals." Olgana wasn't a liar, and Leonhardt knew how she clashed with Lina, but he wanted to show respect to the Orcs who chose to follow him without asking for anything. "She gave everything to us brothers when we fought and left our tribes because of humans."

He gazed out over the forest with a solemn expression; he had suffered as much as Olga, but she also worked hard to support their large family.

"I understand, though its difficult to promise how far. I will take care of Olga, you have my word."

Olgana bowed again, his head pressed down onto the stone ground.

"I implore you, Dungeon Master!"

A small group consisting of Leonhardt, Olga, Nyxara and two dark elves left the city of Luka at dawn. Everyone wore high-grade armour and clothes thanks to Hanz and the goblin tradesmen.

When the group passed a human merchant group, the men's eyes twisted into dirty looks. Their lips curled into obscene smiles upon seeing the sensual armour of the dark elf women, and the tribal armour of the short, Ravenfist orc.

The dark elves wore tight-fitting leather armour, which exposed their thighs and let the material dig into their crotch.

Honestly, it was erotic, but Nyxara no longer wore those clothes and instead covered her breasts, hips, stomach and thighs with a flowing fur cloth that wrapped around her body and hid them from sight.

"Heh... disgusting, look at that freakish skin." One of the mercenaries spat on the ground beside Leonhardt's feet.

"Those eerie markings and that strange gem embedded in his chest, isn't he a demon...?" Another guard whispered to the first man.

"His armour doesn't look human, and he's got a fucking beast walking behind him!"

Ah... these fucking humans!

Leonhardt closed his eyes, one arm wrapped around Nyxara's lean yet soft body, the other grasping the tense arm of Olga. "Ignore them, Olga. You are beautiful." The words escaped from his lips before he realised what he was saying; the orc's face grew red as a tomato.

"Tha-Thank you... King!" The small woman was only five feet two inches tall, but her strength had increased to 207 after training with Olgana.

That's when Leon noticed this little firecracker was stronger than her brother. So she was more than enough to defeat the human mercenaries who mocked her.

Though the cute way she responds to me...

Olga's black marking moved elegantly along her coppery skin, as if it weren't a tattoo but a piece of silk, the raven on her back raising its beak to the sky with a caw, though no sound came out.

Leonhardt smiled at his thoughts and pulled Olga closer to him. Nyxara grasped his hand firmly, and the darkness hiding her figure swayed with the breeze.

The group made their way through the small passage towards the southern edge of the basin. What amused him was how the land and roads deteriorated the further away he travelled.

For Leonhardt, this might be the first time he entered the Gladius kingdom's mainland.

"Look at those freaks."

"Why are you erect, then?"

Human mutters came while Leon sat quietly, waiting for the guards to check the incoming merchants. The soldiers in charge of inspecting their wagons for illegal items or slaves were thorough, so it took a long time.

"This is taking too long," Nyxara whispered beside him, leaning over his lap with a teasing smile.

"You seem happy though."

"I am..." She pressed against his side, her breasts rubbing against his arm as she nuzzled her cheek into the crook of his neck. "I have my husband here and don't need to hide. Not to mention that succubus and group of witches aren't here to steal you away from me, fufu."

"Do you still fight with Asuka and the girls?"

Nyxara tilted her head, before a faint smirk replaced her grin, "Not at all, we've become quite friendly recently, especially when we discuss you~" The elf's eyes narrowed as she spoke in a whisper. "We all love your cock."

Olga's cheeks became a deeper red as she stirred the pot of soup she cooked with the other elves. Leonhardt could hear her muttering about 'noisy' dark elves and their wicked ways.

"Haha, sorry," Nyxara giggled softly and turned back towards Olga. "Can't help it, he's too alluring."

"Stop teasing her, she's too naive."

The humans always seemed to rush when Leonhardt watched them. He noticed how they rarely took a moment to observe the world around them.

Is such a way of life fulfilling?

As there wasn't anything to do, his mind slipped back to the dungeon, where a human woman awaited him each day now...

She hated him enough to kill him, yet after joining their bodies and spending a short time in darkness alone, her personality crumbled, and a new existence was born.

At least that's what should have happened...

But it didn't.

[Why do you still keep that woman with you?]

Ifrit's question raised a good point—unlike his other women, she wasn't pure when they first met. Yet Dia was resistant, and despite her body submitting to him, her mind remained sharp and fought back.

(Do you like the way she still fights back, even while bouncing on your hips?)

Dravanna also had a point...

However, Leonhardt truly enjoyed the strange battle and twisted bond he shared with Dia.
