Chapter 190: Towards the hundreds poison valley
"Lord Nicholas died and the sole reason for his demise is your grandson Yohan. I hope he will know the consequences of his actions. He upset many people and most of them are big hotshots. They are not going to let him get away that easily." General Rudra looked towards Leon as he said these words while both of them were walking towards the direction of the Lin clan gate.
Leon took a deep sigh as he heard the general and smiled at him.
"Don't worry about him. He will be all right, after all, he has a family to support him. That bastard deserved to die. After all he was the first one who was eager to destroy the Hundred Poison valley and after that, his next target was the Lin clan, so my grandson did what needed to be done in the first place," Leon responded.
The general took a deep sigh as he heard Leon.
"I was surprised when I heard about this incident but after that, I remembered that he is your grandson, after all."
"He is different and sometimes I am also unable to determine the reasons behind his actions, but I am happy that he has those qualities to lead the clan. Well, I am curious about something else. What did you do this time to piss off your superiors? I thought you were looking over the northern region borders, but seeing you here, I am surprised," Leon responded to Rudra.
Rudra took a deep breath and looked towards Leon with a nonchalant expression.
"As you know, sir Leon, things are different in the royal family and they are struggling to maintain their position. The king is in dire need of support so he is calling his men from the borders and keeping them near the royal capital. I guess that's the reason why you are here after a very long time." The general looked at Leon as he said those words.
"There are different reasons, but you are right, things are looking very different. Well, it's good to meet you again, but I am afraid I have to leave somewhere," Leon responded to General Rudra and disappeared from that place.
Meanwhile…
"Are you okay, Diya?" Alena placed her hand on Diya's shoulder as she said those words. Diya tilted her head and looked towards Alena as she heard her. She was in deep thought and she was shattered from inside after hearing that Yohan disappeared from that place out of nowhere. She still remembered how he smiled and the time she spent with him last time.
She had never thought that he was going to hide from her. Alena understood how she was feeling right now.
Old men Lin and Leon exchanged glances as they heard Alena and looked towards Diya. Both of them were sitting in front of these two ladies as they were accompanying these two towards the Hundred Poison valley sector and they were traveling in a carriage.
Diya's eyes became wet as she looked at Alena. After hearing her, she snapped out of her deep thoughts.
"I am worried about him, mother. I just want to see him again. I told him to tell me the truth. I thought he was going to train, but look what he did the moment he disappeared from our sight. I am not going to forgive him." Diya placed her head on Alena's shoulder as she said those words.
Alena took a deep breath as she heard Diya. She gently caressed her head and tried to calm her and furiously looked towards those two old men who were sitting there quietly. They both knew that the situation was not ideal for talk, and on top of that, Alena was mad right now and it was a rare occurrence for her to lose her calm. Old Lin took a deep breath as he looked towards Alena.
"I told him to tell you the truth, but he changed the topic right at the moment on the dinner table. Please forgive me, Alena. Leon and I are ashamed that we hid that truth from you. We should have explained to you the current situation about the brewing war," old Lin said with a sad expression on his face.
Hearing his words, Leon was taken aback. Alena's face also became dark as she looked towards Leon. Seeing his daughter's expression, he gulped and looked towards the old man Lin who was sitting beside him with a blank expression on his face and pretending that nothing had happened. He pulled Leon into his mess.
"Father, you also knew about this and you let him go? How could you do that to your grandson? You never thought about the consequences and what we would do if anything happened to him. You already knew that he got attacked a few days ago and after knowing everything you still let him go. He is just a kid, he knows nothing about the world outside," Alena said as she looked at Leon furiously.
Hearing his daughter, he became silent and cursed old Lin for pulling him into this mess. He had nothing to do with Yohan and old Lin as they had already decided everything before. Alena took a deep sigh as she looked towards her father. She couldn't believe that Leon had also known about this and didn't tell her anything.
"Both of you owe me an explanation but this is not the time to linger in the past," Alena said as she looked at Diya in her embrace. She was quiet while tears were rolling from her eyes. Alena didn't want to make things more difficult for her. She wiped those tears and smiled.
"Don't worry, my child. Everything is going to be all right. We will find a way to bring him back. He promised us that no matter where he will go, he will find his way home," Alena tried to calm Diya. The old men Lin and Leon smiled as they heard Alena. Both of them exchanged glances but the old man Lin stole Leon's gaze as he started looking towards a different side.
"You also owe me an explanation, you old bastard." Old Lin heard Leon's voice in his head and he took a deep sigh.
