A woman and a young man appeared into the sky and their gazes went towards the ground. Thousands of bodies could be seen scattered all around the place in front of the River Shore city.

Kana remained calm as she saw this. She already knew about it. Lady Evelyn had already told her about the event that had occurred around the River Shore city.

Yohan's heart sank as he saw these lifeless bodies around that place and the next moment his gaze went towards the city entrance.

The giant gate was nowhere to be seen. Yohan was blown away after seeing that the giant gate was gone. He had been away from the Lin clan, and in two days, things had become like this.

He was in a daze as he saw this, but suddenly he came to his senses as he heard a voice, and his gaze went towards Kana who was looking at him with a worried expression.

"This is my limit. I can't go inside the city. I am prohibited from entering the River Shore city." Kana looked towards Yohan as she said those words to him, and the next moment she disappeared from the sky and appeared on the ground along with Yohan.

"See you soon," Kana mumbled as she looked towards Yohan one last time before disappearing from that place.

"Hey wait, don't leave -" Yohan mumbled as he tried to stop her, but alas, she had already left in a hurry.

"Damn it, she runs away, leaving me here," Yohan mumbled as he looked towards the direction of the city.

And the next moment he started walking towards the city, and some time later, he arrived at the entrance.

A few guards noticed him as they approached Yohan.

"Master Yohan, what are you doing outside the city? It's not safe here. You must return to the Lin clan." One of the guards said those words while looking at Yohan.

"What happened here and who are these people?" Yohan looked towards the hundreds of carts full of bodies.

"They are the people from the nearby clans. They attacked the River Shore city in absence of lord Su Lin and the elder Lin," that guard replied to Yohan and explained that these bodies belonged to the nearby clans.

Yohan nervously swallowed after seeing those lifeless bodies.

"Father and grandfather are not inside the clan. Have they gone to war against the Nichole clan?" Yohan asked, looking at one of the guards as he remembered that his grandfather had been looking pissed and talking about war. That time, Yohan had not been in his senses as he had ignored everything, apart from Diya.

But seeing these bodies, he became confused as he looked again at those guards.

"Who killed these people? Did any acquainted clans help us?" Yohan asked.

Hearing those words, those guards exchanged glances, and then looked towards Yohan with serious expressions.

An old man descended from the sky as he entered the mansion of the city lord, which used to belong to Nicholas before he ran away, leaving everything behind in the Pang city.

The elder Lin took a deep breath as he reached the inside of the mansion and his gaze went towards the ground, where Haan was lying while blood could be seen all over inside that place. It was an unbearable sight to watch.

A few metres away from Haan's body, another body could be seen lying on the ground. That body belonged to Raaj as he was missing one arm and his head was in an unrecognizable condition. Raaj was already dead, but the old man Haan was still breathing as he didn't want to die yet.

The elder Lin approached Haan. Seeing the old man Lin, Haan smiled as he grabbed the elder Lin's hand.

"That bastard killed my son in front of my eyes, and caught me off guard. I wasn't able to protect him, elder Lin." Haan looked towards the old man Lin as he said those words.

Hearing those words, the elder Lin took a deep breath as he knew Haan couldn't be saved as he had lost too much blood. He would die soon.

Seeing that expression on the elder Lin's face, Haan sighed.

"Elder Lin, can I ask one last favor from you?" Haan looked towards the old man Lin while tears started flowing from his eyes.

"I want you to look over Jasmine. She must be waiting for me and her brother to return home. She is a good child but still, I am afraid for her safety." The old man Haan looked towards the elder Lin with teary eyes.

Arjun and Su Lin also approached the old man Lin and their gazes went towards Haan and a young man who was laying on the ground, lifeless.

Seeing that man, both Arjun and Su Lin exchanged glances as they recognized that he was the man who came to save Raaj inside the forest.

"I'll promise you, I will look over her," the old man Lin exclaimed as he looked towards Haan. Hearing those words, a smile appeared on the old man Haan's face and the next moment he died.

Seeing this, the old man Lin clenched his fist.

"You were a good man, Haan. I am sorry I couldn't save you," the elder Lin exclaimed as he said those words, looking at Haan's lifeless body.

"We are leaving for the River Shore city. Leave the seven guardians here and leave a few of our men inside the city." The old man Lin looked towards Arjun and Su Lin as he said those words.

"What did you say, it was an old man who did this?" Yohan asked.

That guard had responded to Yohan as they explained what happened when the surrounding clans attacked the River Shore city out of nowhere, but an old man appeared at the right time as he annihilated every single person with his sheer strength.

"Who was that old man and where did he go?" Yohan looked towards those guards as he said those words.

He couldn't believe what he had just heard. Those guards took deep breaths as they looked at Yohan.

"Master, we don't know about the origin of that old man. It was a senior who was present there at that time. We were watching from far away, and we don't know where he went after killing those people. He ascended into the sky," those guards replied to Yohan.

Yohan took a deep breath as he looked at them and the next moment his gaze went towards the direction of the Lin clan.

"Okay, you guys can go now," Yohan mumbled as he started walking toward the Lin clan in a hurry. He didn't want to waste more time inquiring about the origin of that old man as he was worried about his family.
