Dragon God In The Douluo Continent

Chapter 4: Echoes of the Dragon God

The instant the phantom of the Dragon God behind Xie Yulong let out its deafening roar—a cry that seemed to ripple across time and space—an unseen wave swept over the entire Douluo Continent.

Every spirit beast—from fledgling cubs to ancient monarchs—froze.

A deep tremor surged through their souls.

None knew why…

but something in their blood stirred.

A fear older than memory.

An awe born before language.

Something ancient.

Something supreme.

Something long lost… had just returned.

For a single breath, the skies over the Star Dou Forest darkened.

Deep within, colossal beasts stirred in their slumber.

Confusion turned to unease.

Unease to dread.

Nearby human powerhouses, attuned to the pulse of the forest, tensed in unison.

> "A beast tide?"

"No… something far older is stirring."

And yet, none could name it.

---

Across the Continent:

In the still frost of the Far North, two lights flared at once.

Snow Empress and Ice Empress opened their eyes mid-cultivation, their serenity shattered. They didn't understand what they felt—only that it cracked through their frozen hearts like a thunderclap beneath the ice.

Elsewhere, Zi Ji—the Demon Empress of Darkness—staggered. Her graceful form blurred as her Dark Demonic Dragon bloodline writhed in protest. For the first time in centuries, her knees bent.

The Scarlet King, crimson mane blazing, let out a low snarl. The ground beneath him split as his lion-like body coiled, instincts howling in submission to a presence beyond ancient.

Bear Lord, the Titan Giant Bear, jolted as if struck by the weight of the heavens. His colossal limbs buckled for a breath—his pride bruised by an unseen force.

Bi Ji, the Emerald Swan, turned toward the Lake of Life. Her aura, usually as calm as a still pond, shimmered. For one so gentle, so composed… she now trembled with reverence.

In shadow, Yao Ling—the Mirage Demon King—let out a guttural growl. His illusions flickered and faded. Nothing could hide from that.

Even the Evil Emperor, born of abyss and hatred, stood frozen. His glowing eyes narrowed… and for a moment, even he looked afraid.

---

Near the Lake of Life…

They all converged on the heart of the Star Dou Forest.

The Lake of Life.

There, beneath the gentle shimmer of golden waters, lay a lone figure: the Three-Eyed Golden Lion. The Auspicious Beast. Untouched. Undisturbed.

Her third eye glowed faintly, basking in the echo of the divine.

She did not stir.

She did not flinch.

As if even the collapse of the sky could not ripple her stillness.

But nearby, another stood changed.

Di Tian—Black Dragon King. Beast God.

Ruler of all spirit beasts.

And he was trembling.

Not from fear.

But from something deeper.

> That roar… that pressure… that resonance…

> "It can't be…"

He had once knelt to the being behind that voice.

The only being he had ever called master.

The Dragon God.

---

A hush fell over the clearing as the other kings arrived, questions rising like sparks in the air.

Di Tian heard none of them.

Only two words left his lips—hoarse, low, absolute:

> "Dragon God."

And the heavens seemed to answer.

Silence fell. Some wept. Some collapsed to their knees. Some simply stared skyward, mouths open in disbelief.

Then, without another word, Di Tian dove into the Lake of Life.

---

Beneath the Lake of Life…

In its sacred depths—far from mortal eyes—lay a slumbering deity.

Gu Yuena, the Silver Dragon King.

Her true form, majestic and coiled in repose, had long been healing from the scars of war.

Until the roar reached her.

Her eyes snapped open, twin stars igniting beneath the water's skin.

> "No… that's impossible…"

She whispered, her voice like a ripple through time.

> "The Dragon God was shattered. The Golden Dragon King is sealed. I am here… There shouldn't be another."

Then, the waters shifted.

Di Tian descended, head bowed, aura unsettled.

> "My lord… that roar… what was it?"

Gu Yuena closed her eyes. A long silence followed—weighty and cold.

Then she spoke.

> "A reincarnation… a fragment of the Dragon God's soul must have returned…"

Di Tian's spine straightened. His golden eyes sparked with hope.

> "Then… we spirit beasts… we truly have a chance again. A path back to the Divine Realm—"

But Gu Yuena's expression darkened. Her aura surged like a rising tide.

> "Wait. This is dangerous."

She extended her senses across the plane—her divine mind sweeping continents like a net of light.

> "That aura… it might reach the Divine Realm. If the God Kings detect it… they will act. They will destroy him again."

Di Tian's joy withered into dread.

But then Gu Yuena stilled—utterly.

And smiled.

> "No… the Douluo Plane is shielded."

Her voice trembled—barely more than breath.

> "Wrapped in something beyond divine sense… even I cannot pierce it."

> "Not even a God King could peer through this veil."

> "This protection… it's on par with the Dragon God himself."

A shiver ran through her celestial form.

> "Whoever brought this soul back… has given us a miracle."

> "Now… I no longer need to hide."

She turned toward the glowing core of the lake—the Gold of Life—still radiant after millennia.

> "In six years, I'll be whole again."

> "And then… I will meet this soul myself."

She looked to Di Tian, her voice like a blade wrapped in silk.

> "Search for them. Any trace—no matter how faint."

> "Do not engage. I will go personally."

Di Tian bowed, deepe

r than ever before.

> "Yes, Lord Silver Dragon King."

---

And so it began.

A silent stir beneath the heavens.

The winds of fate turned.

The Dragon God had returned.

And with him… the world would never be the same again.
