Chapter 116: Chapter 116: Even Hit, the Universe’s Greatest Assassin, Finds It Difficult

"Bardock, Kahn, Kakarot, come on! Come back safely!"

From the second-floor platform, Gine waved her small hand, her delicate face full of anticipation and hope.

Bulma, Rados, Krillin, and the others all looked up at Kahn and the rest, waving at them.

This time, they weren't just fighting for themselves—they were fighting for the entire Universe 7.

The fate of countless souls in Universe 7 now rested on the ten warriors chosen to represent them.

After a few seconds, under the watchful eyes of Rados, Bulma, and the others, the vibrant energy surrounding Kahn and his team disappeared into the night sky with a whistling sound.

The Null Realm

As its name suggests, this was a void of nothingness—the stage for the Tournament of Power.

A massive top-shaped arena floated within this realm, with a tall stone pillar at its center. As the tournament progressed, this pillar would descend every five minutes.

When the pillar reached the level of the arena, it would signify the end of the Tournament of Power.

Encircling the arena was a large, fan-shaped spectator stand, where the gods of the twelve universes gathered to witness the battle.

Before Kahn and his team arrived, several other universes' fighters and gods had already made their entrance.

Arrival

Whoosh!

A dozen figures suddenly appeared on the stage—Kahn and his group, teleported from Earth by the Grand Priest.

The moment Universe 7's warriors arrived, they immediately drew the attention of the gods.

On Universe 4's side, Quitela narrowed his eyes at Kahn and sneered, "So Kahn actually showed up. I really don't understand why Lord Zeno insisted on having him participate in the Tournament of Power."

The Supreme Kai of Universe 4, Kuru, asked in confusion, "Lord Quitela, is this future God of Destruction Kahn really that strong?"

Quitela shot him an annoyed glance. "Are you serious? Kahn won the Gods of Destruction Summit. Even I lost to him."

Angel Cognac nodded. "Indeed. Lord Kahn is not someone to be taken lightly."

Hearing this, Supreme Kai Kuru frowned. "This is troubling. With Kahn here, our chances of winning have dropped another ten percent… At this rate, our odds are practically zero."

Cognac sighed. "Be confident—it is zero."

Quitela gritted his teeth in frustration. "I really don't get it. Even if Universe 7 loses, Zeno-sama probably won't erase Kahn. So why is he even competing as Universe 7's fighter?"

"Yeah! The thought of that smug Beerus winning makes me sick!" Quitela growled.

He could accept his own defeat, but letting Beerus win? Absolutely not!

Cognac shook his head. "There's nothing we can do. Lord Zeno personally requested Kahn's participation."

Quitela clenched his fists but had no rebuttal. Instead, he turned to his own fighters and snapped, "Listen up! I don't want a single one of you getting eliminated! Understood?"

"Yes, Lord Quitela!"

"You can count on us!"

Universe 6

"That's Kahn?"

Hit, with his hands in his pockets, fixed his eagle-like gaze on Kahn.

"Yeah. Think you can beat him?" Champa asked.

Hit didn't answer. He simply closed his eyes and took a deep breath.

What kind of joke was this?

Even from a distance, he could tell that Kahn was an opponent he absolutely couldn't defeat—at least not in a head-on battle.

If he were to rely on an ambush, then maybe… but even that was uncertain.

"It seems that even the universe's greatest assassin, Hit, finds it difficult," Vados teased.

Champa: "…"

At that moment, Cabba spoke up. "Lord Champa, is that the Saiyan from Universe 7 you mentioned?"

"He looks really strong," Kale added softly.

Caulifla, grinning with excitement, stepped forward. "Heh, let's go say hi!"

Kale hesitated but ultimately followed behind, though she was visibly more reserved.

First Contact

Caulifla walked straight up to Universe 7's fighters, stopping just three meters away from Kahn.

She crossed her arms and smirked. "Hey! You're the Saiyan from Universe 7, right? I'm Caulifla, a Saiyan from Universe 6."

"Huh? Universe 6 has Saiyans?"

Goku and the others looked at Caulifla curiously.

Whis explained, "Universe 6 and Universe 7 are twin universes. So naturally, Saiyans exist in both."

"Ohh, got it," Goku nodded.

Kahn raised an eyebrow. "What do you want?"

Caulifla placed her hands on her hips and declared, "I heard you're super strong. Lord Champa said so. So, I'm looking forward to fighting you!"

"Wait, what?"

Hearing Caulifla challenge Kahn, everyone froze.

Did this girl have a death wish?

She wasn't exactly weak, but to challenge Kahn right away? That was bold.

Her judgment, at least, wasn't bad—she went straight for the strongest.

"What's so funny? I'm not necessarily weaker than you!" Caulifla declared confidently.

Before Kahn could respond, another voice cut in.

"You're not even qualified to challenge my father. You have to get past me first."

It was Shin.

Caulifla eyed him up and down before smirking. "You're Kahn's son? A Saiyan too, huh? Fine! I'll take both of you on!"

Shin chuckled. "I'll be waiting."

"Remember this—when the Tournament of Power starts, you better be ready for my challenge!"

With that, Caulifla turned and walked away.

Goku, still puzzled, muttered, "Wait… the Saiyans from Universe 6 don't have tails?"

Vados smiled and explained, "Universe 6's Saiyans evolved differently. They no longer have tails and are generally more peace-loving than Universe 7's Saiyans."

Bardock crossed his arms. "Heh. We used to be different too… But we had to fight to survive. And once King Cold and Frieza took over, we had no choice but to follow their orders."

Just then, Marcarita's voice echoed through the arena.

"Grand Priest-sama, the warriors of Universe 11 have arrived."

"I see," the Grand Priest said.

With a snap of his fingers, Vermoud, Marcarita, and Kai appeared in the arena, accompanied by Jiren, Toppo, and the rest of the Pride Troopers.

The moment he arrived, Jiren turned and locked eyes with Kahn.

A crushing sense of pressure erupted between the two.

But in the next instant, Kahn suppressed it completely.

The battle had yet to begin, but the true threats had already recognized each other.
