In another desolate region of Earth, inside a bizarre and ancient-looking structure, a short, hunched wizard stood over a glowing crystal ball, intently watching the battle unfold.

Behind him loomed a grotesque cocoon veined with pulsing, reddish energy.

Just as Trunks had suspected, Babidi had already succeeded. A twisted grin spread across Babidi's face, exposing his sharp, crooked teeth.

"Well done, Broly!" He cackled. "Thanks to him, East Kaiōshin's attention was completely diverted. That let me track down Majin Buu's egg without interference! That fool of a Kaiōshin played right into my hands!"

Kneeling beside him was a tall, demonic figure with crimson skin and black markings, Dabura, King of the Demon Realm. With a deep bow, he said respectfully, "Congratulations, Babidi Sama. Soon, Majin Buu will be reborn."

Babidi let out a screeching laugh. "Dabura, go retrieve all the energy Broly's outburst collected."

"At once, Babidi Sama."

As Dabura departed, Babidi turned back to the cocoon sealing Majin Buu, his yellow eyes wide with anticipation.

"My Majin Buu... I'll be seeing you soon."

Moments later, Dabura returned carrying several oddly-shaped containers that looked like twisted canisters or chamber pots.

"Babidi Sama, this is all the energy gathered. What shall we do now?" he asked.

"You idiot! Obviously, we give it all to my Buu!"

Babidi snatched the nearest container and began pouring its glowing contents into the cocoon's core.

Dabura quickly joined him, assisting with the rest. Within a minute, the cocoon began to shift and pulse, absorbing the torrent of dark energy. Under their watchful eyes, it started to shake violently, its surface stretching, twisting, and bulging as something inside struggled to emerge.

Then--

Crack--!

A sharp, splitting sound rang out and Babidi's jaw dropped nearly to his chest. His eyes bulged in disbelief.

Because…

There was nothing inside. The cocoon was empty.

"W-Where's Majin Buu?! Where is he?!" Babidi screeched, stumbling back in panic. His fingers trembled as he clutched his head, his whole body shaking.

Dabura pointed at the air above the cocoon. "B-Babidi Sama… look!"

Hovering above was a thick pink mist, swirling with malicious energy. Within seconds, the mist began to compress and swirl, forming a solid shape, round and plump, with stubby limbs and antennae.

Majin Buu had appeared.

"Yes! My Majin Buu! You're back at last!" Babidi shouted with joy, nearly dancing on the spot.

However, the freshly awakened Majin Buu didn't seem the least bit interested in his so-called master.

He tilted his head, looked at Babidi blankly, and pouted. "Who're you?"

Babidi cleared his throat and said proudly, "Majin Buu, I am your master, Babidi!"

Buu blinked, unimpressed. Instead of replying, he made a silly face and stuck out his tongue. Babidi's eye twitched in frustration, gritting his teeth to contain his rage. Then suddenly, Majin Buu stopped goofing around and tapped his forehead, as though trying to recall something.

Seeing this, Babidi held his breath, eyes full of expectation.

But all Buu said was, "I'm hungry. Got anything to eat?"

Dabura, watching this whole scene unfold, couldn't help but break into a cold sweat. "Babidi Sama… this creature seems like a fool. He doesn't even look strong. Did we make a mistake?"

"Shut your mouth!" Babidi snapped. "Don't you dare insult my Majin Buu!"

Right now, Babidi was like a proud father admiring his newborn child. But the moment he realized he had nothing edible to offer, panic set in.

"I, I'm sorry, Majin Buu! I'll get you something right away!"

Just as he turned to go, Majin Buu's face twisted into a mischievous grin. His eyes gleamed with a dangerous glint as his gaze landed on Dabura.

Whoosh--!

A flash of pink energy burst from the antenna atop Buu's head, flying straight at Dabura.

"You're food! Turn into chocolate!"

The beam was lightning-fast, far beyond Dabura's reflexes. In the blink of an eye, the Demon King was transformed into a small piece of chocolate.

Majin Buu plucked it from the air and happily popped it into his mouth.

Crunch.

Babidi stood frozen, eyes wide with disbelief.

"H-He's gone? Dabura... was eaten?!"

Then, slowly, a twisted grin spread across Babidi's face.

"Just as I expected from my Majin Buu! He took out Dabura in a single blow!"

Babidi didn't care about Dabura's death in the slightest. Compared to him, Broly was far more valuable.

"Come on, Majin Buu! Let's go find Broly, and give that Kaiō a taste of real terror."

At this point, Babidi's ambition soared, fueled entirely by the overwhelming confidence Majin Buu had inspired. But Buu didn't respond. Instead, he pulled another goofy face, clearly mocking him.

Babidi's temper flared. "Majin Buu! If you don't listen to me, I'll seal you back up again!" he snapped, jabbing a finger toward the shattered cocoon on the ground.

Still in a childlike state of mind, Majin Buu instantly straightened up at the threat, becoming obedient. And so, the two took off toward Broly's location.

...

"Gohan, I'm coming with you!" Trunks said, flying to Son Gohan's side.

"Don't those two other guys need your help?" Gohan asked, glancing back.

Trunks shook his head. He didn't want to say too much right now. Majin Buu's already been resurrected. We need to end this quickly before things spiral out of control.

As Gohan moved closer to the enemy, Broly's gaze locked onto him. Something stirred in his memory.

He frowned. That face, it looked familiar. Tentatively, he asked, "Kakarot?"

Gohan paused mid-flight. Broly had just called him by his father's Saiyan name.

'Wait... is he a Saiyan too?' Gohan thought, startled.

"Gohan! Snap out of it!" Trunks shouted. "He's locked onto you now!"

Trunks knew exactly what was happening. Broly's deep trauma surrounding Goku meant that anyone who looked like him would trigger his berserker rage and cause his power to explode.

And sure enough, right after saying the name, Broly's muscles swelled massively.

In the blink of an eye, golden light erupted around his body.

"He's… he's a Saiyan too!" Gohan exclaimed.

But before Gohan could process the transformation, that golden aura morphed into a blinding green glow.

Broly's hair, once golden, turned a brilliant shade of emerald. Waves of crushing energy burst outward, shaking the very ground beneath them. Hidden behind a rocky outcrop, Kibito and the East Supreme Kai could hardly believe their eyes.

In just one day, they had witnessed three warriors with strength far beyond their comprehension.

Kibito, who had investigated Broly long ago, had dismissed him as nothing special, just someone powerful enough to defeat the West Kai. But after Broly vanished, he stopped paying attention.

That mistake had come back to haunt them.

"I-Is every Saiyan a monster?" Kibito muttered, completely shaken.

The Supreme Kai shielded his eyes, overwhelmed by the chaotic surge of power.

"This… this is the true Super Saiyan legend?" Trunks said, voice tight with awe and dread. "He's not just powerful, he's a force of nature!"

Broly's Legendary Super Saiyan form was so potent, it caused the Saiyan cells in both Trunks and Gohan to shiver in excitement.

"I'm nervous, Gohan... but also kinda fired up!"

"Same here, Trunks! Let's go!"

The two kicked off from the ground in unison, wind blasting out beneath their feet.

Together, the half-Saiyan brothers launched a full-force assault on Broly.

BOOM--!

A massive blow landed squarely on Broly's chest, loud enough to shake the sky. They followed up with a barrage of heavy punches, one after another, a blur of golden light and explosive force hammering into Broly's body.

His massive frame began to lean backward under the assault. But Trunks didn't let himself be fooled.

No… this is just a test. He's gauging our power.

And sure enough, a wicked glint flashed in Broly's eyes. A giant fist suddenly filled Trunks' entire view.

"Outta my face, you little gnat!"

The punch landed with crushing force, sending Trunks flying across the battlefield. Even at full-power Super Saiyan, he stood no chance against Broly in this state.

Broly, now a rational demon cloaked in unstoppable might, turned his full attention to Son Gohan.

...

Meanwhile, deep in the Underworld.

Far below the surface, in the shadowy depths of Hell,

Goku and Piccolo were locked in fierce combat, quelling an uprising led by the revived Cell. But neither of them noticed the tiny red demon sitting off in the distance, wearing a pair of headphones.

This demon was supposed to monitor the machine that filtered evil energy from souls… but he was currently jamming out to music, completely absorbed in the beat.
