Dragon Ball Super: A cerealian SI

Chapter 3: Chapter 3

The darkness of space seemed endless as the spaceship zipped through the cold void, its engines humming softly as it cut through the stars. Inside, a lone figure sat, his eyes scanning the galaxy's vast expanse through a small viewport. His green scouter rested on his face, and his posture was rigid, tense. A sense of urgency filled the air, and the Saiyan's sharp features betrayed the gravity of the message he was about to deliver.

He was not a warrior—he was a spy, trained to observe, to listen, and to report without question. His mission had taken him to Planet Vegeta, the home of the Saiyan race, where something had happened that could not be ignored.

After witnessing the disastrous events at King Vegeta's palace firsthand, the spy knew there was no time to waste. He had to report directly to Frieza. The tyrant's interest in the Saiyan race was vast, and there was no telling what would happen if he found out about the Cerealian's return. His task was to inform Frieza of the situation and ensure the proper course of action was taken—before it was too late.

The ship's automated systems beeped as it signaled its arrival at its destination. The spy steeled himself, knowing he was about to meet the most feared being in the universe. No matter how deadly his message was, Frieza would want to hear it.

Upon landing on one of Frieza's many flagship vessels, the spy stepped out, his boots clicking against the cold metal floors. He was escorted through the ship's winding corridors by two elite soldiers, their eyes scanning the surroundings with a constant, military precision. The spy's heart rate quickened as they neared the chamber where Frieza awaited.

Inside, Frieza stood before a large view-screen, his fingers steepled as he gazed at a display showing the progress of his current galactic conquests. His usual, smug smile was absent, replaced by a look of cold calculation. When the spy entered, Frieza turned, his eyes narrowing, fixing the Saiyan with an amused yet deadly gaze.

"So, what news do you bring?" Frieza's voice was calm, but the subtle edge of danger was ever-present.

The Saiyan spy swallowed, lowering his head respectfully before speaking. "Lord Frieza, there is a matter of great concern. I've just returned from Planet Vegeta, and I must inform you… a Cerealian is alive."

Frieza's eyes instantly narrowed, the smile he had been wearing earlier fading into something far more sinister. "A Cerealian?" he repeated. His voice was calm but laced with menace. "Impossible. Their planet was destroyed. You're certain of this?"

The spy nodded, his voice trembling slightly. "Yes, Lord Frieza. I was on Planet Vegeta, and I witnessed the events firsthand. A Cerealian—alive and well. Not only that, but he… humiliated King Vegeta."

Frieza's eyes widened slightly, a rare reaction that was quickly masked by his usual icy demeanor. "Humiliated King Vegeta?" he asked, his voice now filled with curiosity and barely-contained wrath. "Explain."

The spy took a deep breath, his hands clenched tightly at his sides. "This Cerealian appeared in the middle of the royal palace. He introduced himself as 'your nightmare' and proceeded to obliterate over a thousand of our best warriors without breaking a sweat. He defeated them all—every single one of them—like they were nothing."

Frieza's tail flicked behind him, a sure sign of interest mixed with a growing sense of anger. "Over a thousand? And Vegeta himself was defeated?"

"Yes, Lord Frieza. Vegeta attempted to fight him but was utterly crushed. He was left bloodied and broken, and the Cerealian didn't even kill him—he just left him humiliated, with all his warriors defeated. It was as though they were ants under his foot."

A cruel smile slowly crept across Frieza's face as he processed the information. "Fascinating. This Cerealian must be quite powerful to humiliate a Saiyan king and wipe out that many warriors without even breaking a sweat. How did he survive the destruction of his planet?"

The spy hesitated, unsure how much more information Frieza wanted. "I… I'm not sure, my lord. But from the way he carried himself and his power level… he is far stronger than any ordinary Saiyan. I believe he might have been hiding or lying in wait after his planet's destruction. It's possible he's been training, growing stronger ever since."

Frieza tapped his fingers together thoughtfully, his mind racing with possibilities. "This could be a problem," he muttered to himself. Then, his gaze turned back to the spy, colder than before. "So, this Cerealian is alive, and he thinks himself some kind of nightmare. And King Vegeta and his army were powerless against him?"

The spy nodded quickly, his voice anxious. "Yes, Lord Frieza. The king was humiliated, and the Saiyan soldiers… they couldn't touch him. It's as if he has a power beyond anything we've encountered."

Frieza's tail swished again, this time in clear amusement. "This is more than interesting. It seems we have a new player in the game, one who might pose a threat to the balance of power." He turned to the view-screen behind him, his eyes glowing with an almost sinister light. "Very well. We will have to investigate further. I want you to track this Cerealian. Find out everything you can about him and his origins. If he truly is as powerful as you say, then we may have a serious issue on our hands. Or… he may just be a perfect tool."

The spy nodded rapidly. "Of course, Lord Frieza. I'll do as you command."

Frieza's smile turned into a wicked grin. "Good. Now, return to Planet Vegeta and continue your surveillance. I want to know the moment this Cerealian shows any more signs of activity. And if he gets too bold…" Frieza's voice dropped to a cold, calculating whisper. "We'll make sure he meets his end before he becomes a real problem."

The spy turned and quickly exited the room, his heart racing with the knowledge that he had just informed the most dangerous being in the universe of an incredible threat. As he hurried out of the ship, he couldn't shake the feeling that the storm of chaos was only just beginning. And if Frieza decided to act on his intentions, no one—even the mighty Cerealian—would be safe.
