Dragon Ball: I, Yamcha, am the strongest in the universe

Chapter 139: Chapter 139: Little Turtle, Could You Be a Bit Quieter?

Chapter 139: Little Turtle, Could You Be a Bit Quieter?

In just an instant, it felt its entire body tremble uncontrollably, as if it had been locked onto by a predator at the top of the food chain.

That was the gaze of a natural enemy!

"Little turtle, could you be... just a bit quieter?"

The voice echoed from deep within its soul, causing the Three-Tails to fall completely silent. It lay still in the leaky sealing space, not daring to move. Its one remaining eye darted around in fear, as if something might suddenly leap out and devour it.

Slowly, very slowly, the Three-Tails did something that would drop jaws — with a wave of its three enormous tails, it actually began repairing the temporary seal. Rather than repairing, it was more like fortifying it, like building a bunker, constantly reinforcing the space.

While it's often said that only the One-Tail, Shukaku, specializes in sealing techniques, in truth, all nine tailed beasts know a bit about sealing — they just rarely show it.

In no time, the entire sealing space was reinforced. Then, an unknown volume of seawater began to fill the space. Finally, the Three-Tails retracted its limbs into its hard shell and sank to the bottom of the sealed area.

'Freedom… isn't all that great, after all.'

That was the thought lingering in the Three-Tails' mind.

Outside the space, Rin had witnessed it all: Yamcha merely said a light sentence, and not only did it stop her from entering full tailed beast mode, but it also completely silenced the once-rampaging Three-Tails. Her gaze toward Yamcha was no longer just respectful — it was adoring, perhaps even fanatical.

She even made a bold guess.

"I understand now… You must be the legendary Sage of Six Paths."

Sage of Six Paths?

Yamcha couldn't help but chuckle at her words. That Sage? Even his mother I've taken down before.

Still, for a mere Chūnin to guess this far was already impressive. Anything beyond that was simply outside her understanding.

Seeing that Yamcha didn't deny it, Rin thought she had guessed correctly. She paused, as if gathering her courage, and looked at Yamcha seriously.

"I know it may be rude to ask, but… may I request something of you?"

Yamcha, intrigued, raised an eyebrow.

Relieved, Rin continued.

"Since you were able to revive even me… may I beg you to revive someone very dear to me?"

"His name is Obito. Uchiha Obito."

In her past life, Rin's romantic connections were a constant point of debate among fans. The arguments always came down to two main theories: one, she saw Obito as family and liked Kakashi; two, she admired Kakashi but truly loved Obito — the helpful, clumsy Obito who got hurt trying to show off, who worked hard just to make her smile.

As for those wild takes claiming Rin just liked to ship Obito and Kakashi together — let's just ignore those.

While some say simps never end well, the many small hints suggest that Rin most likely did love Obito.

"Your wish is a simple one."

"But to make it happen, I'd need to kill him first, then revive him. Are you sure you want that?"

Rin's tears welled up in joy and shock. Her voice trembled as she asked:

"Y-you mean… Obito isn't dead?"

"That's right. He's currently gathering the seven Dragon Balls to bring you back to life."

"???"

Rin was stunned. The sheer amount of information left her overwhelmed.

After Yamcha explained the background to her, Rin finally understood the situation.

"…Is Kakashi alright?"

She finally remembered to ask about her friend.

"He returned to Konoha safely. Other than looking a bit gloomy, he's fine overall."

The guilt of killing a comrade with his own hand was unbearable. Add to that Rin's body disappearing, and Obito's gift — the Sharingan — being lost, and Kakashi fell into a deep depression after returning to the village. But at least he was alive.

Ironically, the one most annoyed by all of this was Madara Uchiha. His days were numbered, and he was preparing to fade away quietly, only for his chosen successor to be hijacked. To make things worse, he also lost a special White Zetsu.

Even more anxious was Black Zetsu. His plan, which was nearly complete after so many years, was now unraveling.

But none of that concerned Yamcha. He was already preparing to travel to another Naruto timeline.

A few days later, Rin had become well-acquainted with everyone and settled into life at the Great Desert Base.

Following Mewtwo's orders, she began conducting various experiments.

Even though she was only a Chūnin, even the weakest-ranked ninja far exceeded normal humans in strength.

"What are the test results?"

"Her cell count is more than triple that of a regular human. If she follows your training plan, her growth rate in strength will also triple."

"And if you add your experience-boosting items, the speed would increase even further."

Mewtwo reviewed the report and stated his conclusions.

The experience-boosting item originated from the world of YGGDRASIL. Theoretically, it could be used until level 100, which was roughly equivalent to the strength of the Ten-Tails.

Whether it had any effect beyond level 100 was uncertain, since the experience bar disappeared after that point.

By the way, Rin's current level was LV23 (not including Three-Tails).

With level 30 being the threshold, she hadn't yet reached "Hero" rank.

Looking at Obito's LV63, one couldn't help but marvel at how powerful the Mangekyō Sharingan was. Even excluding the Mangekyō's special abilities, the power boost it provided upon awakening was immense. Of course, his high level wasn't solely due to the Mangekyō — the Hashirama cells played a huge role too.

And Obito still had plenty of room to grow.

"Her training speed is at least three times that of a normal person. With the EXP-boosting tools, she'll become combat-ready quickly."

Mewtwo concluded: "I believe we're ready for the next phase."

The next phase: recruit subordinates.

At the moment, the Great Desert Base only housed Yamcha and a few others — it was time to consider expansion.

Of course, not from this world.

"I'm curious about those kekkei genkai abilities. I plan to do some research. Bring back a batch of kekkei genkai users."

Mewtwo laid out his request.

Orochimaru, the mad scientist of the Naruto world, was powerful in his own right — dabbling with Hashirama cells and creating artificial humans. But in Mewtwo's cloning facility, all he needed were three strands of hair to replicate someone.

Theoretically, with enough Hashirama cells, Mewtwo could directly clone a brand-new Senju Hashirama.

"Rin," Yamcha called out to her as she left Mewtwo's lab, heading to prepare dinner.

Ever since arriving at the Great Desert Base, Rin had voluntarily taken on the role of cook. And to be fair, her cooking was really good — even the dark-armored WarGreymon loved it.

"Come with me to a place — one you should be very familiar with."

"Yes, Divine One!"
