Chapter 26: Chapter 26: A Man Must Be Frugal!
"You're not dead!" Tonpo yanked his hand back, rubbing his pig-like hoof where Yamiru had squeezed it too hard. He grumbled, "It's just a bean!"
Just a bean? Yamiru wanted to laugh at such ignorance. Weakly, he scolded, "What do you know?"
His blood-crusted fingers held the small, seemingly ordinary bean, trembling with excitement.
This has to be a Senzu Bean!
Looking at the old man's demeanor and considering his own heavily injured state, what else could it be? It had to be a Senzu Bean!
Suppressing the overwhelming urge to swallow it whole, Yamiru carefully split the bean in half.
"You're so stingy! If you're going to eat it, just eat it already!" Tonpo watched in disbelief. Splitting such a small bean in half? But what left him even more dumbfounded was what happened next—Yamiru didn't eat it at all. Instead, he carefully placed one half in each of his pockets and lay back down with a satisfied, goofy grin.
Only a fool would waste a life-saving treasure like that!
'It's just a few stitches on my head, not like my skull was blown apart or shattered. Why waste a Senzu Bean?' Yamiru thought happily as he patted the tiny pieces in his pockets. This is like carrying around two extra lives.

Meanwhile, little Bulma was riding her mini electric scooter back to the school. After finding her father, Dr. Brief, she explained the situation and asked him to contact a medical team, as well as gather a few people to help move Yamiru.
The school principal, who was with them, was incredulous. "The Red Ribbon Army? What would the Red Ribbon Army be doing near the school?"
Bulma tilted her head and looked up at him. "They were just there."
A teacher exclaimed, "That's impossible! If the Red Ribbon Army were really here... how could you have made it out safely?"
Dr. Brief gave the teacher a disapproving glance.
Bulma, ever honest, replied, "Because I drove them all away."
Dr. Brief quickly asked, "You didn't use the photon gun on them, did you? That could've killed someone."
Little Bulma said, "Nope."
"That's good." Dr. Brief sighed in relief.
"Dad, can I write to my sister about this?" Little Bulma revealed her true motive for her heroic act. "It would make a great story idea for her novel!"
Dr. Brief chuckled, snuffed out his cigarette, crouched down, and patted his daughter's warm little head. With a gentle smile, he replied, "Alright, I'll have someone find your sister's address when we get back."
'So… you're not even going to question your little daughter's claim that she drove away the Red Ribbon Army?' The school's reception team, led by the panda-like principal, could only sweat nervously. Looking at this tiny girl, barely two years old, they couldn't help but think she was an absolute prodigy—or perhaps a monster. Born into the wealthiest family in the world, as cute as a doll, and with a sky-high IQ… Life truly wasn't fair.
"What happened?" A blonde, narrow-eyed beauty approached—the wife of Dr. Brief.
Dr. Brief explained the situation to her.
"Oh dear, we should hurry." Mrs. Brief covered her mouth and spoke softly. "How could we let a handsome young man lie injured in the wild? Come on, I'll take you there myself."
As mother and daughter led the team to help Yamiru, Dr. Brief muttered to himself, "A boy with golden eyes… Isn't he the one who recognized me in the corridor earlier? A tall, blonde youth with a paralyzing ability that can immobilize others… If I'm not mistaken, that's the star student named Blue from your school, isn't it?" He had, after all, spent an extra hour or two that morning reviewing the school's information in detail.
"Dr. Brief, about Blue colluding with the Red Ribbon Army…" The principal, drenched in sweat beneath his heavy fur, carefully broached the subject. Just then, a teacher stepped forward and whispered something in his ear. The principal nodded and turned to Dr. Brief. "Doctor, we've just verified that the golden-eyed boy Miss Bulma mentioned came to our school this afternoon to test his superpowers. If you're interested, the lab has today's test records."
"Alright, let's take a look." Dr. Brief nodded.

On the way, Little Bulma, wearing her safety helmet, sat on the back seat of a regular-sized electric scooter, hugging her mother's waist. Curious, she asked, "Mom, what's a handsome young man?"
"It's a handsome man when he's young," Mrs. Brief replied.
"Oh…" Bulma dragged out the word. Mrs. Brief immediately realized her daughter didn't quite understand, so she elaborated, "It means a man who looks good. Like how your father used to look when he was younger."
Bulma then asked, "What's the use of a handsome man?"
Wait, where did the "young" part go? Mrs. Brief chuckled, realizing her daughter had a natural talent for this topic. Clearly, she'd grow up to be just as adept at appreciating good-looking men as her mother. Smiling, she explained, "Well, you can date them! Or, just looking at them can make you feel much happier."
"Oh…" Little Bulma dragged out her response again, only to bump her face into her mother's back. Moments later, she heard Mrs. Brief's voice: "Oh my, so much blood! Ah, this young man… his eyes are so beautiful!"
"Hi there!" Little Bulma leaned out from the back seat to greet him.
Yamiru, still lying like a corpse, turned his head at the sound of the vehicle approaching. He saw a blonde, narrow-eyed woman riding an electric scooter, exclaiming about how beautiful his eyes were. He was about to try concealing the golden hue of his eyes, but the sight of Little Bulma peeking out from the back seat quickly made him realize this stylish woman must be her mother.
Eager to build a connection with Bulma's family, Yamiru thought: 'If this fashionable mom likes my eyes, let her enjoy them!' He decided to keep them glowing.
Soon after, staff from the school arrived with a stretcher and whisked Yamiru away.
\---
At the school hospital, under orders from the institution's largest shareholder, Yamiru received a thorough examination. The results weren't pretty: multiple soft tissue contusions, muscle and ligament strain, two broken ribs, and seven stitches to the head. The procedure left him grimacing in pain, and several times he cursed inwardly: Damn it, if I knew it would hurt this much, I'd have just eaten half a senzu bean!
But senzu beans were far too valuable. Injuries that could be treated in a hospital weren't worth wasting such a rare treasure. Besides, he owed Bulma's family a favor now. If he ever had the chance to visit West City, he'd have a perfect excuse to drop by. With that thought, Yamiru felt much better.
Now, he lay in a hospital bed at the school clinic.
Beside him, Tonpo was anxiously pestering the doctor about when he could be discharged. Yamiru, annoyed, wanted to kick him. "I'm not in a rush; why are you? Blue and that leopard-headed guy ran off together. Who are you still afraid of at this school?"
"What do you know? Do you think that leopard was the only one bullying me here?" Tonpo retorted, his tone full of indignation.
Just then, Mrs. Brief entered the room to check on him. Though Yamiru couldn't shake the feeling that this charming blonde woman was mainly here to ogle his glowing golden eyes, he didn't really mind. Leveraging his youthful appearance, he did his best to project the innocence of a boy while making his eyes shine even brighter.
Wait a minute… Yamiru suddenly noticed Little Bulma, who was munching on an apple while giving him a very peculiar look. What's with that gaze? Do you want to pluck out my eyeballs and study them?!
