Dragon Ball: Escaping from Planet Vegeta

Chapter 27: Ki Training in Progress

Because Talot revealed some of the thoughts he had been suppressing inside, his attitude towards Gine and Salari changed a bit.

He no longer hesitated to speak or stopped halfway through his sentences as he did before.

He also didn't need to be as exhausted as before, constantly hiding things and fearing this or that.

After modifying the scouter, Talot also made changes to the spaceship.

Engineering-wise, it was naturally more challenging, but with the help of the blueprints, Talot had already marked the positions of the modules, so he easily removed those hidden dangers.

In the end, he reset the spaceship's system and erased all records.

There was a self-check program running during this process, but due to the missing modules, the system almost failed to recover, giving Talot a scare.

That sudden panic felt very similar to the sensation of impending death.

Wait!

Talot wasn't actually familiar with the feeling of death.

But in that moment, his mind went blank, and cold sweat broke out, making him feel like he was going to die in the next second.

After all this was done, Talot truly felt a sense of freedom.

Afterward, he also began to explain some things that were absolutely safe to Gine and Salari, and naturally, he mentioned the method of training Ki.

After all, he had already decided to teach them.

If it hadn't been too shocking and potentially attracted too much attention and danger before, Talot would have taught Bardock earlier.

His years of keeping a low profile made him unwilling to take any risks, but now that he had broken free from the shackles that bound him, he felt unrestrained.

As for teaching Ki, Talot followed the method that Gohan used to teach Videl and Goten in the Buu Saga of the original work.

Even he successfully learned Ki using this method.

It must be said that Gohan was a genius to come up with such a method.

Of course, it's possible Gohan was simply influenced by Piccolo's teachings.

Summarizing the early period of the original work, no matter who it was, the true stage of Ki training only began when Goku stepped foot onto Lookout.

Before that, even though martial artists on Earth had gone through a lot and had some realizations, even being able to unleash Ki attacks, it was just an effective use of their own power.

Thus, Gine and Salari's training began. They don't know yet, but this training will be transformative for their futures.

As a bystander and also a participant, Talot also began his own training.

In fact, over the past ten days, he had been consistently practicing Ki, otherwise, his power level wouldn't have increased from 1170 to 1200.

1170?

That's right, in the past few days under Bardock's special training, Talot's strength did improve a lot, but his actual power level only increased by 20.

In these ten days, it increased by 30 points. It may seem like a small amount, but it was enough to make Talot happy.

Because once you step onto the path of training, even a little bit of progress means moving forward.

As his strength increased, Talot realized a crucial issue: if he didn't continue to train and solidify his strength, even if his power level reached a certain threshold, it would decrease if he neglected his training.

The numbers can change!

Moreover, when it comes to breakthrough in power level, after experiencing several significant breakthroughs, Talot understood that unless it is a transformative realization or a sudden epiphany, even if there is a breakthrough in the realm, the increase won't be very large.

As for other forms of training, besides Ki training, Talot currently has no way to engage in any other type of training.

After all, the area that he can move around inside the medium-sized spaceship is quite limited, and even for just one person to perform intense exercises, it feels cramped, let alone three people.

Speaking of which, Talot once thought about installing gravity equipment inside the spaceship, so he could do some simple gravity training.

Under higher gravity, even doing push-ups or sit-ups could have a significant training effect on the body.

Unfortunately, even if he wanted to, he couldn't make it happen.

People of this era, although they do think about training to become stronger and always maintain their peak condition, they mostly rely on the powerful strength that comes from their innate genes.

Even if scientists could develop gravity equipment, they wouldn't think to use them for training.

In short, different eras bring different perspectives.

Talot now wants to instill the concept of training to become stronger into Gine and Salari. This way, they can truly become more powerful.

Even though, given Gine and Salari's strength, they would be absolutely unbeatable on Earth.

But it's still too low.

At the very least, they need to have the power to protect themselves in the future. Beyond that, Talot doesn't have any other demands.

Time passed day by day.

In the long journey through space, having a goal and new things to do helped Gine and Salari escape the boredom.

Actually, they could have gone into hibernation.

But since Talot didn't do it, if they went into hibernation, it would leave Talot alone.

For most Saiyans, they usually travel in single-person spaceships, and space travel is mostly spent sleeping.

One moment they close their eyes, and the next they open them, no matter how long the time in between, it feels like the blink of an eye.

The Ki training was underway.

On the third day, Gine was the first to sense the existence of Ki and successfully controlled and guided her Ki within a certain range.

Salari lagged behind Gine, perhaps due to the difference in age or in strength.

After all, Gine had a power level of 600.

Compared to Gine, Salari's mistakes were more obvious. She treated insight as something that must be forced, constantly researching techniques to force it out, and thus always fell short.

Finally, on the fifth day, under Talot's careful guidance, she was able to sense the tangible presence of Ki and manage simple control.

Is it slow?

Actually, it's not slow at all! On the contrary, it's incredibly fast.

After all, you can't compare future generations with this era.

The fact that Gine and Salari could sense and simply control Ki so quickly is entirely due to their pure minds and the inherent strength that Saiyans possess, which allows them to use their power very efficiently.

After learning Ki, their strength clearly improved, and they could now do things far beyond what they were capable of before.

When fighting, they could naturally be stronger, though the confined space didn't allow for sparring.

At least now, they can easily control their power level. With just a bit of guidance, Gine and Salari can lower their power level to below 100.
