Chapter 243: Unstoppable

The ancient dragons united their magic for an attack, extracting elements from the four elemental realms like a vast ocean, forming cataclysmic spells that turned into a terrifying elemental torrent, surging towards Berlain and his densely summoned undead legion, covering a part of the sky. Everything it passed was shattered, all transformed into their most primitive state by the violent elements.

Faced with the joint attack of the ancient dragons, Berlain was not about to sit back and await his doom. He raised his noble-style wand, channeling the power of the brands he had left in the souls of his undead through the wand, unleashing a tumultuous surge of necrotic energy, shrouding both Berlain and his undead legion.

Next, atop the necrotic fog that occupied the central district of the city, the gray-black death energy surged, condensing into countless beast heads trailing long black qi, lunging towards the elemental tide...

"Boom!" A deafening explosion rang out, mixed with the violent elemental shockwave of the death energy, sweeping in all directions. Some dragons, still in their adolescence and at the gold level, swayed precariously, appearing as if they were about to be blown away.

"The city, it's gone!" As the elemental chaos from the explosion gradually dissipated, the outcome of the nineteen ancient dragons' joint attack was revealed: a city comparable in size to Asriel City, capable of housing millions of humans, had vanished.

All the buildings, residences, manors, castles, temples... the undead that were resurrected and roamed due to the undead calamity, and some humans who were hiding in corners of the city, clinging to life... everything, in a single probe, vanished without a trace.

The cloud of death energy shrouding Berlain and his undead legion had also become incredibly thin. Many undead souls within it were flickering weakly, on the verge of extinction, just like the dark knight father of Orleena.

Many weaker undead had their soul fires extinguished directly in the clash of powers, collapsing into piles of bones. Their soul energy had been completely drained by Berlain, no longer able to sustain their existence.

Meanwhile, in the area within Muria's sight, colorful ribbons of light danced about, somewhat resembling the auroras of the South Pole in his previous life. The scene seemed quite romantic.

"This area's elements are now in chaos. Without a soul-tier strength and corresponding spellcasting level, don't even think about releasing a formal spell."

Beside Muria, Kaslana looked at the auroras floating by her, frowned slightly, then glanced at Muria, waved her wand with a bit of a smug smile,

"Good thing I chose my weapon with this in mind. When forging my wand, I mixed in Mithril. The wand's body is sturdy enough, so in crucial moments, like now, it can also be used as a warhammer."

"Mixing Mithril into a wand!"

Muria's mouth twitched. Mithril, a legendary metal nearly a hundred times heavier than other metals, is favored by melee professionals.

But for regular spellcasters, it's rather useless. A Mithril-infused wand is too heavy for most mages to wield without casting strengthening spells on themselves.

However, this kind of weapon that mixes Mithril, useful for both casting and melee, seems quite suitable for the dragon race.

"My wand could probably also be used as a warhammer," Muria glanced at his own End Wand, mumbling to himself, but then decided against it. Compared to the other eight exclusive weapons, the wand was too light to feel satisfying when used to strike.

While Muria and Kaslana were chatting, all the ancient dragons flew towards Berlain, preparing to start close combat.

Berlain, too, with his ten legendary undead dragons – three ghost dragons and seven bone dragons – met them head-on.

He believed that as long as he fought these ancient dragons for a while, the legendary undead and liches that came out with him would sense the battle and come to his aid.

This time, he was confident that these ancient dragons would not be able to defeat him...

"Legendary undead dragons, including Berlain, have been stopped by the ancient dragons," Muria held the Seven Sins Sword in one hand and the other held the Exorcism Sword - he had put away the End Wand.

Watching the undead, most notably the ancient dragons and the fierce ghost dragons, surge towards the young dragons, Muria noted. They were undead creatures fused with dragon bones and souls, the pinnacle of the undead.

"The ancient dragons have joined the fray and intentionally pulled the battleground into the high sky. Now it's our turn," Kaslana raised her wand, her voice reaching every dragon.

"Berlain has committed heinous crimes against our kin, and today he shall receive his deserved punishment.

This sinner used necromancy to seal the souls of our kin in their remains, turning them into lowly and dirty undead beings, suffering endlessly as his minions.

Now, we shall relieve these kin from their pain, allowing them to enter eternal slumber, untainted."

"Kill!" Countless dragons, inspired by Kaslana's words, roared and charged towards the undead dragons, determined to let their tainted souls enter eternal rest.

"So many bone dragons and ghost dragons!" Muria admired, looking at the sky filled with over a thousand undead dragons.

"What? Are you scared, little brother Muria?" Kaslana, already at the forefront of the dragon group, swung her wand (hammer) and flipped a bone dragon, shattering its jaw. Her voice, gentle like an intellectual big sister, reached Muria's ears.

"Scared?" Muria, turning into a golden rainbow, charged directly into the group of undead dragons, his sword and knife crossing in an X-shape, instantly cutting through a bone dragon, splitting it into pieces and extinguishing its soul fire.

"I'm excited! With so many undead dragons to cut down! This time, I should be able to have a real blast."

Muria, transformed into a golden rainbow and charging into the undead dragon group, wore an excited smile, swinging his Seven Sins Sword and Exorcism Sword at every undead dragon blocking his path.

Sword qi and knife light crisscrossed.

Even though the bone dragons' skeletons were as tough as some mid-level extraordinary metals, they couldn't withstand the sharpness of Muria's legendary metal forged swords.

"Amazing!" A jade dragon watched in awe as a golden rainbow shot into the dark cloud formed by thousands of undead dragons, advancing unstoppably, leaving cleanly cut, death energy-soaked dragon bones raining down in its wake.
