Douluo: Two brothers in douluo

Chapter 18: Chapter 18: The Grand Eunuch, Ma Hongjun

Flender was truly furious this time. Ning Rongrong had threatened to kill Dai Mubai over something so minor!

This wasn't some childish prank or harmless mischief. It showed that she didn't respect others at all—she didn't even see them as people.

Sure, as the little princess of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect, she could behave however she wanted back home. But this was Shrek Academy, not her family's domain.

"Enough, Headmaster. Are you really not afraid of her grandfather showing up on our doorstep? Let's just get going to class, shall we?"

Dai Mubai spoke up nonchalantly.

Flender blinked in surprise, momentarily stunned that Dai Mubai would say such a thing. After a brief pause, he nodded.

Better to avoid provoking the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect if it could be helped.

"Ning Rongrong, think things through carefully."

Flender sighed and shook his head before gesturing for everyone to move. He turned and began walking toward Soto City, with Tang San and the others quickly following behind him.

Dai Mubai threw one last glance at Ning Rongrong, smirking as he said,

"Little princess, you really do cry ugly. Do you seriously think you could escape from me if I actually wanted to do something to you? You're just an auxiliary-type spirit master."

"Besides, apart from Little Ao over there, who would even be interested in a flat-chested, no-curves girl like you?"

"Hahaha!"

Dai Mubai's laughter echoed as he turned and followed the others.

Ning Rongrong froze, tears halting mid-fall.

She stood there for a long time, looking down at her feet. Not just her toes—she could see her entire foot!

Panicking, she patted herself behind, her hands trembling slightly.

Moments later, helpless tears rolled down her cheeks again.

How could he say that? How could he compare her to Zhu Zhuqing, or those girls Xiao Qing and Xiao Xue?

She lost—she lost so badly, and her pride as a woman was utterly shattered.

Of course, Dai Mubai had no idea how strange Ning Rongrong's thought process was.

It was because of this remark that Ning Rongrong locked him in her sights.

"Dai Mubai, you just wait! I'll get my revenge!" she growled through gritted teeth, fire burning in her heart.

So what if he's a prince of Star Luo Empire? She's the next Sect Master of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect!

"Calling me ugly, flat-chested… Too despicable!"

The thought of Zhu Zhuqing's murderous glare made her shiver again. Had Flender not intervened, she or Zhu Zhuqing might've ended up dead.

After a long while, Ning Rongrong still couldn't bring herself to admit she was wrong. But regarding Zhu Zhuqing, she grudgingly acknowledged her mistake.

After all, Dai Mubai was Zhu Zhuqing's fiancé. And yet, she'd tried to pit herself against them…

Wait a minute!

What if I can sow discord between Dai Mubai and Zhu Zhuqing?

If the two of them broke up, she'd have the perfect chance to mock them both!

Suddenly reinvigorated, Ning Rongrong set her sights on a new goal: drive a wedge between Dai Mubai and Zhu Zhuqing!

Her plan began to take form. First, she'd apologize and act sincere, gaining their trust. Then, when the opportunity came…

"Hehehe…"

Ning Rongrong's quiet giggles turned into an odd goose-like laugh.

They want to kick me out? Impossible! I'm not leaving!

On the Road

The group moved in silence, the earlier incident leaving a slightly tense atmosphere hanging over them.

As always, Ma Hongjun—the group's comedic relief—stepped up to break the tension. He shuffled over to Dai Mubai and Zhu Zhuqing, grinning widely.

"Boss Dai! I didn't expect you to be the Third Prince of the Star Luo Empire!"

"When you make it big, don't forget your buddy Fatty here!"

Hearing this, Dai Mubai didn't even hesitate. He nodded seriously.

"Don't worry, Fatty. You're my brother—I'd never forget you."

"Boss Dai, you're the best!" Ma Hongjun's small eyes lit up with excitement. "If that's the case, can you give me a position now?"

The others, curious, turned their attention to Dai Mubai and Ma Hongjun, ears perking up.

"Of course. I'm a man of my word!" Dai Mubai declared confidently.

"Awesome! What's the position? General? Commander?" Ma Hongjun's face filled with hope.

Dai Mubai glanced at Ma Hongjun and almost choked. This guy? A general?

After a brief pause, Dai Mubai shook his head. "Star Luo Empire promotes its military officers based on merit and battlefield achievements. Even as a prince, I can't just hand you a general's rank."

"But… there's one position that would suit you perfectly, Fatty. Interested?"

"What position?" Ma Hongjun's enthusiasm wavered slightly but remained hopeful.

"Grand Eunuch of the Imperial Court!"

"What?!"

Ma Hongjun's face fell instantly.

Behind him, Zhu Zhuqing couldn't help but burst out laughing, quickly covering her mouth with her hand. She shot Dai Mubai a sideways glance, clearly amused.

So this is how you treat your brothers? Making Fatty the Grand Eunuch…

If Ma Hongjun really accepted the position, he might as well be called Eunuch Ma for the rest of his life.

"Third Brother, what's a Grand Eunuch?" Xiao Wu asked curiously, tilting her head toward Tang San.

Tang San's expression stiffened. His lips twitched, and beads of sweat appeared on his forehead.

"Xiao Wu, you'll understand when you're older. Trust me—you don't want to know right now."

Even Flender, leading the group from the front, found himself suppressing a smile.

He silently agreed that Dai Mubai had gone too far, though. Ma Hongjun couldn't possibly serve as a grand eunuch—he was the sole heir of the Ma family line!

If Fatty actually became a eunuch, it would spell the end of his family's lineage. Forget about any "many children, many blessings" nonsense.

Ma Hongjun's face turned as black as the bottom of a pot. Glaring at Dai Mubai, he complained, "Boss Dai, are you trying to screw me over? I'm the last male of my family line!"

"Hahaha…"

Dai Mubai clapped a hand on Ma Hongjun's shoulder, still laughing.

"Relax, Fatty. If you really want to become a general, I'll help you one day. For now, focus on training. Without strength and leadership, you'll never make it as a general."

Flender, overhearing this, nodded approvingly. "Fatty, Mubai's right. You're not qualified to be a general right now. Work hard, and who knows? Maybe one day you'll achieve it."

"If that happens, don't forget your old teacher—I'll be counting on you to support me in my retirement."

Flender's sudden seriousness caught Ma Hongjun off guard. Scratching his head awkwardly, he muttered, "Alright, Teacher. I'll work hard!"
