Douluo: The Second Young Lady of the Worship Hall —Decisive in Killing

Chapter 11: Chapter 11: Combat Training

Ye Xi followed Qian Daoliu to a vast open training ground, where the Four Worshippers—Xiong Shi (Lion), Guang Ling (Radiant Plume), Qian Jun (Thousand Weight), and Jiang Mo (Demon Subduer)—were already waiting.

Not long after, Jin'e also arrived with Tian Yao.

"Xiao Xi, Tian Yao, go ahead and release your martial spirits. Come at us with everything you've got," said the Fourth Worshipper, Xiong Shi, waving them over with a calm smile. "Don't worry, we'll control our strength. You won't get hurt."

Qian Daoliu and Jin'e sat not far off, observing quietly.

Ye Xi released her martial spirit: the Slaughter Angel. A yellow spirit ring spun rapidly beneath her feet.

"First Spirit Skill: Blood Soul's Blessing!"

With the first ring activated, Ye Xi's body moved swiftly, darting directly toward the Fourth Worshipper, Xiong Shi.

At the same time, Tian Yao released her own martial spirit: the Golden Crocodile King, with a yellow spirit ring glowing at her feet. Unlike Ye Xi, however, Tian Yao charged toward the Sixth Worshipper, Qian Jun.

Ye Xi clenched her fist tightly and launched an attack toward Xiong Shi, her strike howling through the air.

Xiong Shi didn't dodge or counter aggressively. He simply raised a hand and effortlessly blocked her blow.

"Too light," he said calmly. "And there are too many openings when you strike."

He tapped a finger at Ye Xi's most vulnerable spot, and her body was sent flying, landing hard on the ground.

But the impact didn't hurt much—Xiong Shi had clearly controlled his power perfectly.

Ye Xi stood up, patted the dust from her clothes, and thought carefully about what he'd pointed out. Then, she charged at him again.

This time, her strike was stronger, many of her previous openings had been corrected, and she began using her spirit power more effectively.

"Big Brother, look at how fast Xiao Xi is improving," Jin'e said with a touch of emotion. "After Xiong Shi's guidance, her second attack already shows significant improvement."

Qian Daoliu nodded slightly. "Tian Yao is doing well too. She has excellent combat instincts."

Though Ye Xi's second attack was also blocked, she managed to dodge one of Xiong Shi's counters—an improvement from before. However, she was still hit and sent flying again. This time, however, her wings flared out and she stabilized in mid-air before she hit the ground.

A Spirit Bone skill activated: Bloodthirst Bone Blade extended from her arm.

With her wings flapping gently, Ye Xi surged forward again. Her speed was so fast that the Bloodthirst Bone Blade left a trail of crimson light in the air.

She slashed at Xiong Shi, but his hand lit up with spirit energy and blocked the blow completely.

"Not bad," Xiong Shi said with a rare trace of praise in his tone. "Your attack power is now on par with the average Spirit Master. You're just a bit lacking in speed."

Though her technique still seemed raw to him, he couldn't deny her rapid progress. In fact, he was confident that Ye Xi could already hold her own against most intermediate-level Spirit Masters—even if she couldn't defeat them outright.

With each exchange, Ye Xi's combat experience grew visibly, and her technique became increasingly refined.

As the sun set and the sky dimmed, Ye Xi collapsed to the ground, gasping for breath, her face dripping with sweat and her body caked in dust.

Beside her lay Tian Yao, covered in dirt and looking even more battered—her clothes were even torn in a few places.

"Second Miss," Tian Yao groaned, glancing at Ye Xi, "I just realized… having a flying martial spirit is really nice."

Even though the Worshippers had held back their power, crashing into the ground still hurt.

Ye Xi nodded in agreement. "Yeah, being able to fly is definitely an advantage."

Qian Daoliu walked over, patting Ye Xi's shoulder gently, his expression full of approval.

"Xiao Xi, Tian Yao, training is over for today. Go get some rest."

Then he turned to Jin'e, "Make sure Tian Yao gets treated by a healing spirit master."

"Don't worry, Brother," Jin'e replied. "I've got it covered."

He pulled Tian Yao up from the ground.

"Come on, Xiao Xi," Qian Daoliu said kindly. "Let Grandpa take you back."

"Okay, Grandpa," Ye Xi responded, following him back to her quarters.

Back in her room, Ye Xi noticed something new—a large wooden tub filled with steaming water, and the faint aroma of medicinal herbs lingering in the air.

"A medicinal bath?" she said, curious.

"Yes," Qian Daoliu nodded. "Your Grandpa Jin'e said the herbs in there are great for strengthening the body."

Ye Xi's sapphire-blue eyes lit up. After a day of grueling training, a warm herbal bath sounded heavenly.

"Alright, Xiao Xi," Qian Daoliu said with a smile. "I'll leave you to it. If you need anything, just ask the maids."

He left, and once alone, Ye Xi undressed and slipped into the tub.

The moment her body was submerged, a pleasant warmth spread through her limbs. A gentle stream of energy flowed through her meridians, leaving her feeling incredibly relaxed.

She closed her eyes, savoring the comfort.

As time passed, the water gradually cooled and the warmth within her faded. Ye Xi opened her eyes, and one of the maids stepped forward with a towel and fresh clothes.

After drying off and getting dressed, Ye Xi sat cross-legged on her bed and began to meditate and cultivate.
