Chapter 63: RUNESMITH
It had been three months since Xuanyu returned from his multiversal quest to save the Uchiha Clan and since the departure of his teacher, Nana.
The past months had been relatively uneventful—at least, on the surface. However, small yet significant changes had been occurring, shaping the trajectory of his future.
One notable change was the sudden departure of Ye Lingtong from their school. She had transferred without much warning, and while Xuanyu didn't pry into the details, he had a strong suspicion that it was related to the previous attack on the mall. He knew that her father, an elite member of the military, was likely involved in some way.
However, Xuanyu didn't dwell too much on it. Thanks to their Soul Guidance Devices, they could still communicate regularly, so it wasn't a matter of concern.
On the other hand, his mother, Nan Cheng, had been visibly restless and irritable over the past few weeks. The reason was simple—exactly six months had passed since Lan Xiao, his father, had left for his mission.
In all this time, they had received no communication from him. Nan Cheng's worry had grown with each passing day, and her anxiety was starting to manifest in her daily routine. Xuanyu often found her staring at her communicator absentmindedly, hoping for an update that never came.
Despite this, Xuanyu remained calm. He had already used his skill, Answer, to determine Lan Xiao's situation. His father was still alive and will return in just few weeks. Xuanyu trusted in fate and his own abilities—there was no need to panic.
--------
Aside from these personal developments, something else had come up. His homeroom teacher had informed him about an upcoming Elite Junior Class, which would commence next semester. Schools affiliated with the system would conduct an entrance examination after the break to select the most talented students. His teacher had encouraged him to register, believing he had great potential.
However, Xuanyu wasn't particularly interested. His strength was already leagues beyond his peers, and he had no shortage of resources. His private garden, filled with various Heavenly and Earthly treasures, ensured he had a steady supply of cultivation materials. Unlike other students who relied on these elite classes or families for guidance and resources, he had everything he needed.
Still, he ultimately decided to register—not for the training or benefits but out of curiosity. Perhaps he would come across talented individuals who could become his subordinates or even true friends. Besides, Ye Lingtong had mentioned that she had also signed up, which was another reason to participate.
--------
Even his Wish-Granting Shop was thriving. Though no new members had joined recently, the old members remained loyal, frequently stopping by. Sadly none of them chose to sell their bloodline. Maybe they are waiting for someone to make a first move and check waters for them?
Anyway, almost all of them were eager to purchase Fate Cards—not for themselves, but as gifts for their friends and family.
However, much to everyone's disappointment, that wasn't possible at the moment. A crucial requirement had to be met first: at least one quest from a particular world needed to be completed before its inhabitants became eligible to buy Fate Cards. This unexpected restriction caught him off guard.
The realization dampened everyone's spirits. Despite their eagerness, there was nothing they could do about it. Now, all eyes were on the quest board, waiting anxiously for new quests to appear—opportunities that would finally allow them to claim the coveted Fate Cards.
------
For the past three months, outside of school hours, Xuanyu had dedicated himself to intense physical training and cultivation. His primary focus was refining his body under the pressure of the gravity bracelets enchanted by Irene. Alongside this, he continued refining his bloodline using Dragon Divine Source (DDS) and Blood Energy Fruits, further strengthening his foundation.
His progress had been steady and impressive.

Xuanyu had grown significantly in all areas. Despite not actively focusing on soul power cultivation, his soul rank still increased by one.
This was primarily due to his connection with his Little World through Blue Silver Grass, which continuously supplied him with purified energy. His bloodline vortex refined this energy without requiring conscious effort, a passive yet powerful advantage he had.
The concentration of his Dragon God bloodline had reached 4% over the past three months. The steady increase came from consuming Blood Energy Fruits and meditating near the Myriad Race Blood Pond. Though a 1% increase in three months might seem slow, he considered it a satisfactory pace, as refining Dragon God blood was notoriously difficult.
Meanwhile, his physical body had undergone a transformation under the effects of gravity training and the Saitama Training Plan. His overall stats had increased, and he could now withstand five times normal gravity without needing additional enhancements. This was a major milestone.
However, the most significant development was his spiritual strength.
Over these three months, he had been absorbing Soul-Spiritual Stones. However, he couldn't consume them all at once, as his body required time to adjust. Today marked the day he had finally absorbed the last stone, allowing him to break through to the Spirit Sea Realm.
If the outside world discovered that a six-year-old had reached the Spirit Sea Realm, they would be utterly shocked.
Now that he had reached this level, he could finally activate his Ex-Rank Runic Skill: Runesmith.
