He jumped over the stream and cautiously approached the rock face.

As he reached the vines and began to pull them aside, the vines suddenly came to life, wrapping around him like a cocoon.

"Earth-Splitting Slash!" A blade of energy instantly killed the man.

"Don't blame me. You chose the wrong side," Lin Yongming said coldly, glancing at the dead Spirit Ancestor before sheathing his blade.

It turned out that when the man had been drinking water, both Blue Silver Emperor's Blue Silver Grass and Lin Yongming's心眼 had detected him. They had hoped he would overlook the cave, but when he discovered it, they had no choice but to act swiftly to prevent him from alerting the others.

Lin Yongming, who had been ready, swiftly decapitated the man without using a soul skill.

He then dragged the corpse into the dense underbrush, and the two quietly left the area.
