Chapter 265: Bibi Dong's Compromise

Hearing these words, Bibi Dong seemed to realize something and spoke up: "For these 'fierce beasts' you mentioned, it's been thousands of years since there's been any sign of them. Why are they suddenly surfacing now? What's their purpose in revealing themselves?"

Yang Potian nodded approvingly. "An excellent question, Your Majesty. Fierce beasts wouldn't emerge without a reason, so what could their goal possibly be?"

Bibi Dong thought for a moment before answering: "The Clear Sky Clan. These fierce beasts have intervened three times now, each time connected to the Clear Sky Clan. Is it possible that they're colluding with the clan?"

Yang Potian looked at her, a hint of admiration in his gaze. "Your Majesty's deduction is indeed impressive. However, the fierce beasts' goal isn't the Clear Sky Clan, nor is it Tang Hao or Tang Xiao—it's Tang San."

"Tang San?" Bibi Dong was surprised. "He's only a mere Soul Emperor. What makes him worthy of cooperation with the fierce beasts?"

"Your Majesty, have you forgotten something crucial about Tang San?" Yang Potian asked, a slight smile on his lips. "Who is he really? And what event sparked the initial conflict with the Clear Sky Clan?"

Leaving the question hanging, he looked at the others, who fell into deep thought, though Qian Renxue seemed puzzled. Bibi Dong's expression grew more solemn.

"Tang San's mother was a hundred-thousand-year spirit beast in human form, which means he carries half of the soul beast bloodline. It's likely that the fierce beasts see him as one of their own," she realized.

"Yang Potian, what exactly are these fierce beasts' goals in supporting Tang San?" she pressed further.

Yang Potian glanced up at the towering angel statue and shook his head. "Their motives are simple: they wish to aid Tang San in achieving godhood so that he can annihilate the Spirit Hall and wipe out the Angelic Clan."

"Due to the laws of nature, soul beasts are barred from attaining godhood, but a human like Tang San, who carries their bloodline, isn't restricted. Additionally, Tang San bears an intense grudge against Spirit Hall, which makes him the perfect ally for the fierce beasts."

He paused before continuing, "Furthermore, Bibi Dong, one of your spirit rings comes from the Soft Bone Rabbit Queen, the mother of Tang San's lover, Xiao Wu. Xiao Wu despises you for this."

"With these layers of enmity, doesn't this make you and Tang San irreconcilable enemies?"

Qian Daoliu's eyes flashed with cold determination. "Yang Potian, how many fierce beasts like Di Tian are there in the Star Dou Forest?"

Yang Potian considered this briefly. "Di Tian's power surpasses that of a Level 99 Ultimate Douluo. Based on both strength and spirit energy reserves, he is at least a demigod. Apart from Di Tian, the Star Dou Forest houses at least three other fierce beasts of Level 99 strength. Altogether, there are no fewer than five fierce beasts, not to mention the many ordinary hundred-thousand-year and ten-thousand-year soul beasts."

"In terms of high-level combat ability, the soul beast race arguably surpasses Spirit Hall and possibly all other forces combined."

The group fell silent, a deep sense of unease settling over them as they processed the immense strength of the soul beasts. For the first time, they felt the gravity of their enemy's hidden might.

After a long pause, Yang Potian spoke again, "What do you all think? Was my offer of sincerity sufficient?"

Qian Renxue fixed him with a sharp look. "Not sufficient. If you're going to reveal our greatest threat, then you should also present a solution to neutralize it. Otherwise, our alliance is meaningless."

Yang Potian laughed lightly. "Lady Qian Renxue, that's asking quite a lot. The information is all there for you—surely Spirit Hall can devise its own solution without relying entirely on an outsider like myself. After all, I'm not the primary beneficiary of this outcome."

Qian Renxue gave a small, cunning smile. "You've always come out ahead in our deals, Yang Potian. You wouldn't be revealing such high-stakes information unless you planned to gain even more from this trade. So, what do you truly need the Angelic Sacred Sword for?"

"My lady, you truly are perceptive. Working with you is always a challenge," he said with a grin. "But this is not something I wish for too many people to know about—especially anyone who might sabotage my plans. Rest assured, I'll explain everything to you privately. Given everyone's strength here, there's no reason to worry that I might harm you, is there?"

Qian Renxue's voice was cold. "Enough nonsense. We'll agree to cooperate. Now, tell us your solution to our Spirit Hall's problem, and you may name your price."

Yang Potian didn't respond to her directly but turned instead to Bibi Dong. "Your Majesty, I do have a plan. However, it would require some sacrifices on your part."

Everyone's gaze shifted to Bibi Dong.

Her eyes narrowed as she replied, "What does my cooperation with Qian Renxue have to do with me? Are you suggesting you wish to negotiate with me separately?"

Yang Potian sighed, smiling slyly. "Your Majesty, you are remarkably astute. My current transaction is indeed with you. But the question is, are you willing?"

Bibi Dong's expression darkened. "State your terms plainly. If they're within my power, I'll see it done. But your solution had better be effective."

Yang Potian's expression turned serious. "Your Majesty, my request is simple. I would like you to grant me access to the Rakshasa Realm, preferably with Lady Qian Renxue accompanying me."

Bibi Dong's face immediately darkened. "That is impossible. The Rakshasa Realm is lethal to mortals. You'd never make it out."

"That won't be necessary to worry about. If I can enter, I can also leave. I merely wish to have a discussion with the Rakshasa God. Certain things are best addressed beforehand to avoid misunderstandings later on."

His interest in the Rakshasa God was purely precautionary; the deity had given Bibi Dong no real advantage, instead driving her into madness. As the true source of corruption in Slaughter City, the Rakshasa God could easily obstruct him during his divine trials. He intended to ensure there'd be no interference.

Qian Renxue looked at him, surprised. "What exactly are you planning to do in the Rakshasa Realm? And why take me? Are you hiding other motives?"

Yang Potian smirked. "You flatter me. I merely wish to converse with the Rakshasa God and prevent any unwelcome meddling. Moreover, your presence would bring us both considerable benefits."

Qian Daoliu then spoke up. "Your Majesty, perhaps we should allow Yang Potian to accompany Qian Renxue into the Rakshasa Realm?"

To Qian Daoliu, Spirit Hall's legacy was paramount. If its survival was at stake, even sacrificing Bibi Dong would be necessary.

Bibi Dong, glancing between the calm Yang Potian and the solemn Qian Daoliu, saw she had little choice. Whether in numbers or strength, she held no advantage.

Ultimately, Bibi Dong agreed, though reluctantly. "I'll take you and Qian Renxue into the Rakshasa Realm, but only if you explain your reasons first. Otherwise, I won't agree to this at all."

Yang Potian considered this before responding. "My purpose for entering the Rakshasa Realm is straightforward. The Rakshasa God is a deity of evil and is an enemy of both the Asura God and the Angel God. I'm concerned that he may try to sabotage my divine trials, so I want to address any potential issues in advance."

"Perhaps you aren't aware, but the Slaughter King of the Slaughter City is none other than Tang Chen from the Clear Sky Clan. Back when he took on the Asura God trials, he had reached the eighth trial, only to be undermined by the Rakshasa God, driving him to madness and leaving him a twisted half-human, half-ghost. I have no intention of ending up like him."

"Moreover, the Rakshasa God has targeted several divine inheritors before. It's possible he's also tampered with the Angel God's inheritance, so it's better to confront him ahead of time."

Bibi Dong sneered. "Yang Potian, even though you're a divine candidate, you're still only a mortal. What makes you think you have any standing to negotiate with the Rakshasa God?"

Both Qian Daoliu and Bibi Dong had sensed Yang Potian's status as a candidate for divinity; otherwise, he wouldn't be the closest person to becoming a god.

Yang Potian replied calmly, "Mortals may not be gods, but even gods have their enemies. When the Rakshasa God interfered in Tang Chen's Asura God trials, he surely earned the wrath of the Asura God. He simply went into hiding."

"If I were to reveal his location to the Asura God, would I even need to handle what comes next?"

Qian Renxue interjected, "What does any of this have to do with me? Why should I accompany you into the Rakshasa Realm?"

"Lady Qian Renxue, I forgot to mention— the Angel God and the Rakshasa God are natural foes. The Angel God embodies holiness, light, and purification, while the Rakshasa God represents evil. Do you really think the Rakshasa God wouldn't try to undermine you as well?"

With these words, Qian Renxue's expression darkened. None of them had expected Tang Chen's downfall to be so catastrophic, nor that a divine inheritance could be manipulated so maliciously.

Glancing at Qian Renxue, whose face so closely resembled her own, Bibi Dong finally sighed. "Fine. I'll take you and Qian Renxue into the Rakshasa Realm. But I'll be going in with you, and you are absolutely not to step out of line."

Yang Potian couldn't help but chuckle. "Your Majesty, you're overthinking it. What could a mere mortal like myself possibly do to a god? Besides, aren't we allies now? I'm simply taking the necessary precautions against a mutual enemy."

Qian Renxue spoke up again. "Since we have an agreement, I'll accompany you to the Rakshasa Realm. Now, let's hear your plan for dealing with the fierce beasts."

After some contemplation, Yang Potian replied, "Dealing with the fierce beasts is actually quite simple. There are three steps we can follow. As long as we carry them out, these so-called fierce beasts won't be a concern at all."
